On multiple occasions I heard the teachers in the older childrens' rooms raising their voices loudly at children who were simply touching things or asking questions (in other words, normal kid behavior that needed gentle guidance & redirection, not an emergency situation of any kind). I could hear this while standing outside the building during pick-up and I also heard it when inside the building in the halls. My child started as a very young infant and the 2 caregivers that worked with her most closely seemed annoyed that she was struggling to take a bottle, or cried, or wanted to be held, or struggled with the texture of some foods when she was later starting on solids. All normal parts of development, learning to eat, etc. Caregiver would make negative comments to my baby in front of me at drop off if the baby started to fuss when separating from me. The 3rd caregiver she had at the school did seem caring and attentive and started to do sensory activities daily. Prior to this, it seemed that there were no books read, songs sang, games played, sensory activities. Staff wanted babies to lay and play by themselves. When I entered the room on a few occasions, I saw most staff scrolling on their phones while sitting on the floor rocking babies in rockers or on their bodies, and with older babies crawling around and not being interacted with. My child seemed traumatized by the lack of nurturing caregiver with whom to bond on her first times away from her mom. read more

My daughter and I absolutely love Holmdel Preschool! I was so nervous to leave my baby and go back to work, but Debbie and her teachers have made us feel so comfortable and safe. My daughter loves going to school everyday, excited to see what new things they will learn. I've watched her little mind grow so much this year. The staff is outstanding, caring, and very involved with your child's learning. My daughter has been going there since she was 3yrs old she's now 6 in the kindergarten class and with the teachers using the curriculum they have my daughters academics is advanced, she's doing some first grade work and her reading level shoot she's 6yrs old reading an 8yr old chapter books. They have an outstanding curriculum, after school events, in school events from music to history to fun activities. I'm saddened that this is her last year first grade next year. I'm sooo glad and happy that I chose Holmdel Preschool it been very well worth it!!! We love and will miss the staff!!!!! read more

Let's be very clear the teachers here are GREAT! Caring, love the kids and treat them as their own... the owner on the other hand completely opposite. Parents BEWARE! It is very clear that the only valued is her "Business." Unfortunately, that business affects the lives of many human beings, children to be exact. And If she valued the parents, children, and customer service as much as her business this would never be of review. Just to clarify a few things, - We are currently in a pandemic, We did not choose to stop sending our son, whose name she can't even get correct. It was the recommendation of many state boards of health, CDC, and all the higher ups for the safety of not only our children but your staff inclusive of your teachers. With that being said we never violated any contractual agreement and if the school is closed there is no purpose to pay for months when no service is being provided. That goes for any business. She demanded payment despite the school being closed. She never refunded any monies there were prepaid. - When there was a possibility of the school reopening or sending our children back to school, she again DEMANDED that we provide paper towels per family or the children would not be allowed in the school. I ask myself is that even legal? That sounds like extortion. - Now because your business is trying to recoup she is charging parents a Re-Registration fee ? The registration fee was paid in the beginning of the year. What is that additional fee covering? No documentation or commiunication was given to us just a demand for this fee. After all this we will not be sending our children back to such an environment where $$ matters more than the health, safety and education of our future children. Instead as they say the best recommendation is a referral. I recommend parents BEEWARE what a disgrace and sham this has been in a time that all families and businesses are suffering. It says a lot when the teachers themselves are not even returning. Glad because they were too good for that greedy selfish money hungry place. If I can give 0-Zero Stars I would. read more

This school is truly outstanding Both the staff and the administration offers education beyond compare. They are deserving of all the accolades one can offer. All my children have attended here and have gone on to public school and have done amazingly well and achieved beyond better than expected results. they are well rounded and confident. I cannot thank the teachers enough for all the guidance they provided and the love and support my children received while there. I cannot thank the director enough for her support during a financial crisis we had to endure for a short period while there and the kindness she extended. All of the staff and is great and the director is right on top of things. The planning that goes into the special events is great. I am now getting ready to enroll in the Mommy and Me classes with my 4th child and cannot wait! read more

In my opinion, as a parent I can say the level of care at this school just isn't there. Beware of the teacher rotation, and the level of disorganization in the infant room. Management leaves a lot to be desired. The petty requests every week including paper towels and clorox wipes just got to be obnoxious. On multiple occasions i wanted to discuss different issues with the director and several times i walked over to her office and she wasn't in. When i withdrew my daughter from this school after 4 months, i never even received a follow up phone call. This is the level of management your dealing with. I actually feel sorry for these teacher's who have to work for this school. I recommend that you carefully do your home work before sending your child to this daycare. Quality of education is top notch! Great extracurricular activities such as science, art and physical education. Fun field trips. Friendly, warm caring staff with low turnover. Flexible schedule and hours. All three of my kids have gone here over the last almost 6 years and they enter Kindergarten very advanced-in reading especially! We love Holmdel Preschool! read more

Holmdel Preschool has an incredible staff that truly cares for each student and their families. They go above and beyond to accommodate everyone's different needs and they have high standards.I am consistently impressed with the level of lessons being taught. The teachers, staff and director are respectful, educated informative and always willing to answer any questions as well as seek parents input on activities, events and more. The overall building itself was spacious, classrooms/outdoor play area are kept well. They do appear to have a high turnover rate with teachers, there is an issue with teachers coming and going. read more

The education your child will receive is good and the surroundings are nice and clean, but there are a lot of hidden fees. Not only are you paying a high tuition; you are requested to bring in a lot of supplies throughout the year, you spend $4 a day on hot lunch, and between $50-$200 on monthly activities. My big disappointment is how they separate the children...God forbid the parent forgets to bring in a supply for a special occasion (like the Thanksgiving soup), your child is left on the side lines watching the other kids enjoy the activity and unable to participate because a busy parent forgot to bring in their share. I took my daughter out in June, and she was not allowed to participate in the dance practice for graduation. They made her sit aside and watch the other children. Even though she wasn't going to be there for the ceremony, I felt it was wrong to make her feel separated. My daughter (who was 4 at the time) was very upset and the school director didn't care. The director of the school is very nice on first impression, but that's all smoke and mirrors. Beware! read more
