Whippany KinderCare has turned out to be one of the biggest blessings for our family for so many reasons. One of the things we are so impressed by and pleased with is how much the director (Chelsea) and assistant director (Leah) are involved with all the kids. If we ever have a question, they always are aware of how our daughter is doing because they keep tabs with her teacher on the regular and can answer anything with confidence. Seeing how our daughter was progressing, it was suggested that we move her up a class. We were a little nervous to do this six weeks early but with their support and after being offered to do a trial day, to our surprise everything went amazingly well! Our daughter is learning so much and we already see such an improvement in her language development (both sign and vocal) and other skills like how to use utensils and not throw food at the table. It truly is such a joy to see how much she is growing here. As a parent, you obviously want nothing but the best care for your kid and we have no doubt we made the right decision with Whippany KinderCare. Especially during the pandemic, knowing that the center has been taking every reasonable precaution (temperature checks at the door, constant sanitizing of the school, the use of masks for teachers and children, no outside toys, etc.) further gives us peace of mind that our daughter is in safe hands. They make the 4 year olds wear uniforms (never disclosed), all children must use the school provided backpacks (never disclosed) amongst other school related decisions we were not disclosed. When we attempted to get our registration fee back we were told we're weren't charged tuition and the charge wasn't enforced as a "good faith" gesture. Pretty much you're lucky so no your $600 registration is ours. The owner was absolutely rude and snarky. The education director is cold and very rude. Make sure you ask every question you can think of because they don't ask, don't tell.

During a time of such transition for her, Ms. Samuels and her other teachers provided so much nurturing, love, and compassion for her. She has since transitioned into the Toddlers class where Ms. White and Ms. Santana are loving and patient with her antics AND she learns so much. Over Christmas, she came home one day and just started naming colors (at 18mo!!). She now counts as she goes down the stairs. It's clear that education truly is the foundation for everything they do and that they do it with love for each child. Lastly, I will say that in addition to her teachers, our daughter has great relationships with people at Primrose who aren't even her teachers - Ms. Cathy, Ms. Joseph, etc. To me, this shows that the culture at the school is amazing in every classroom environment. Another benefit of going to Primrose is the app they use - Procare. This may seem trivial but it's been a huge upgrade from our previous daycare. You can customize notifications to get real-time photos and updates from your child's day. And, on tough mornings, the school will send extra photos to reassure you that your little one is okay. Regarding COVID-19, the school has taken critical precautions that thus far have prevented any school shutdowns or outbreaks. It is sometimes inconvenient to keep our daughter home with a cold while we wait for a COVID-19 result; however, it gives me peace that everyone else has to do it too. Overall, we're so glad that we chose Primrose. And our daughter is too - she squeals when we pull into the school parking lot most days.

My son was in the mobile infant room. First, at the open house, there was no communication about the children's daily schedule, and the overall presentation was unprofessional. The teachers read off a paper and gave us no instructions on drop-off/pick-up routines. Almost daily, my son's lunch dishes were scattered throughout his bags, lost, or we took home another child's materials. We packed lunch and snacks daily. However, my son was continuously fed snacks from the school without my permission, and when I would bring it up I was assured they were not. But at pick up, they would tell me he enjoyed the school snack today. The staff in the room was unprofessional. They were using the iPad for personal searches, the pictures they sent home were blurry or did not always include our child, and they were not warm and friendly to us. The app was never accurate, and we were rarely updated on the amount of food he was eating. If this was brought up, we were told the app was down. But then magically fixed moments later. The communication between the teachers was awful. Their tone towards us and our son was rude, condescending, and it often felt like they did not like him. Because of these attitudes, we did not report the small issues for fear of retaliation against our son. Unfortunately, these are only the small issues, but towards the end, there were issues of neglect. In my son's last week at Lightbridge, he was sent home twice with a diaper that was clearly not changed in a long time. Each time it was about 4 hours in between. They would change him, give him lunch, put him down for a nap, and wait an hour or so after he woke up to change him again. On his last day, he had such a bad rash that he was struggling to walk. Not a single teacher in the room noticed. It is hard to tell if they don't care or are disorganized. However, changing a baby after a nap is common sense. When we called to complain (for the sake of other children), Olive gave us a run-of-the-mill response with no remorse. We highly recommend that you do not send your child here.

There were two instances where I went to pick my son and found him in wet clothes. His teacher did not even bother to change his clothes (God knows for how long he was sitting in those wet clothes). I don't understand how come his teacher did not realize that he was sitting in wet clothes if I could figure it out in few seconds after seeing my son. When I asked the teacher why he was sitting in wet clothes she did not even care to apologize. In other few instances, I found my son's shoe laces untied and his teachers did not bother to help him tie the shoe laces. Also his teachers were so rude, at several instances I have noticed them screaming loudly at the kids. Thank god , I have recently enrolled my son in an another daycare. My son is loving his new school from the very first day and never wants to go back to the learning experience. This is the worst daycare I have even seen.
