Irish Mule And Jumbo Pretzel - A large pretzel is placed on a rectangular white plate, accompanied by two small metal containers of mustard. In front of the plate, there is a Jameson Irish Mule cocktail in a metal mug with a lime wedge and a straw, resting on a red napkin. The bar surface is made of wood with visible grain patterns. In the background, there are some glasses and a small stack of napkins.

Chill sports bar located on Irving Park in a pretty happening area. If looking for a place to watch soccer or sports in general, then this would be it. The Globe Pub is appropriately named, because it shows various sports from over the world. Also has lots to drink and eat. Prices are pretty good especially for somewhere in this trendy ass area with lots of other bars and stuff. After being here a few times, it seems drinks are the main thing besides watching sports of course. It has a shit load of beers on tap, and even more in bottles and cans, as well as lots of liquors. There's so many it's hard to choose, which is a good problem. It's about $9 for the cheapest cocktail. There's also a happy hour weekdays. I like the Irish Mule, a sweet but pretty strong concoction. It's made with Proper Twelve Irish Apple, ginger beer, and lime juice. The food has both fried, greasy kinds of stuff as well as healthier things. A Jumbo Pretzel is a good sharing item. It's $11 and comes with cheese and mustard. They also have a Beyond Burger that's a pretty big one. Great place to get drunk and watch all kinds of games. It's a popular place for watching soccer or pretty much whatever is on. There's even a TV in the bathroom so you won't have to miss any action while you tinkle or pinch off a loaf, so they were pretty thoughtful.

When a U of Maryland game is on; this statue is on the bar to show Terps fans where to sit !

Numerous TVs: large, small & even in the men's room ! Especially love the Sweet Potato Fries, and salads. Drinks are large, but a tad pricey. Staff are so considerate: when waiting for an Uber; a worker came out when he saw me using a cane & asked if I needed anything ! So I didn't hit him with the cane :) Even has books & board games. Continue to go there for U of Maryland & Ravens' games. Is THE go-to bar for the U of Maryland alum group. Very chill crowd: mostly lawyers, physicians, engineers, professors. Nicely decorated

The last time I had an English Breakfast, I was in England about 20 years ago. Let me tell you, the breakfast that I had at the Globe Pub was delicious! Very much worth it and I definitely recommend. Me and my friend went there to watch a football game and the food was a must try. The service was outstanding and the ambiance was crazy good. I have never seen that many football fans in America and I was enjoying every cheer during the game.

Chicken Tinga Quesadilla - A plate features a quesadilla cut into four triangular pieces, with a golden-brown, toasted exterior. It is served with a side of salsa, a dollop of sour cream, and some fresh greens. The dish is presented on a white plate placed on a wooden table, with a small container of green salsa or sauce on the side.

I am on a mission to only eat at restaurants I haven't been to before to help experience more of the city so on Friday night my fiancé and I decided to check out the Globe Pub for a low key dinner date. First off, The Globe Pub is in a very central location in North Center. There was plenty of paid street parking in front of the restaurant. We were able to easily grab a spot for two on Friday night, however opted to sit at the bar to easily watch the opening ceremonies of the Olympics. They have a ton of TVs. They offer a ton of craft beer draft selections- they had well over 30 options- as well as bottled beer and cocktail options. For food, they offer some hearty dinner options (shepherds pie, bangers and mash, etc) as well as a wide variety of sandwiches and burgers. Everything we tried was absolutely incredible.Service was really friendly and efficient as well. I can't wait to add The Globe into my rotation!!

Cup of really good chili to start. - A bowl of chili features a mixture of beans, meat, and sauce, topped with shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese, chopped green onions, and shredded cheese. The bowl is placed on a table with a wooden surface visible in the background, indicating a dining environment. The chili appears hot and flavorful, with toppings adding texture and color.

Met a couple of friends here for dinner. Our server was particularly friendly and helped make the experience even more fun. It was a Thursday night and it was a typical English soccer pub vibe inside. We started with a round of beers and I asked the server to surprise me with her favorite dark beer. She picked a good one for me and I was especially pleased when she brought me a little taster glass of another dark beer so I could compare the two. Nice touch. She strongly recommended the chili as a starter, and it was really good. I wasn't feeling like English food, so she suggested the Buffalo Chicken Wrap. Nice portion size on the wrap and it came with a good serving of curly fries. Nothing special about this dish, but everything was good. I'd probably order something different next time, but this meal hit the spot on a cold night. I had mentioned to the server that I'm new to Chicago, so after our meal she brought over shots of Jeppson's Malört as a sort of Welcome to Chicago and hazing ritual. While I'm not so sure about adding Malört to my regular drink menu, I really appreciated her enthusiasm and warm welcome to this fair city. Overall, this was a really fun time in a cool neighborhood pub. I think this would be a great spot to watch some European football and I'm looking forward to coming back.

Meat Loaf - A plate displays a portion of meatloaf topped with sautéed onions, accompanied by a side of green peas. A small cup of dark gravy or sauce is placed on the plate. The presentation suggests a classic American or pub-style dish, with the food arranged on a white plate. The background includes a dark surface and a black basket, indicating a casual dining setting.

The globe is great. Best fish and chips in town, best place to watch footy, but also just a great place to grab dinner or a pint. Service is friendly, attentive, and quick. The vibes are welcoming, low key, and cozy. Definitely catch a match, or just a good place for dinner.

The service here is the reason to come. Even on a trivia night. So attentive, so fun, so casual so friendly. I had fish and chips and was not disappointed by the flakey fish crust and sauce selection on a traditional pub dish. Come on innnn. I'll be back for sure.

The image shows a crowd of patrons inside a sports bar, facing three wall-mounted screens displaying a soccer game. The bar has a dark interior with exposed ductwork on the ceiling and decorative string lights. Some individuals are wearing sports jerseys, and one person is raising their hand. The bar area is visible in the background with bottles and trophies, and a sign reading 'GLOBE PUB FC' is displayed.

What a Vibe!! It was my first time waking up at 5.30 am just to go to a pub almost 7 miles away early in the morning to see a game with my husband who happens to be a huge soccer fan. While I was just hoping to support my husband and get some coffee there, I did not expect it to be a full house of Arsenal fans with drinks in there hands that early in the morning and cheering, dancing, full of joy. I think it was a unique experience and highly recommend if anyone likes watching early morning games. I also loved their ritual of taking pictures in the alley after each game. Although Idk if they do it for every game or if it is just for Arsenal Tip: Try to reach early if you need a table.

Fish n Chips - A plate of fish and chips includes a piece of fried fish on top of French fries, with green peas and coleslaw on the side. Two small containers hold tartar sauce and a pink dipping sauce. A glass of dark beer and a bottle of Heinz malt vinegar are also present on the table. The setting appears to be a casual dining environment, possibly a pub or restaurant.

Great atmosphere and excellent service. The stout beers they have are so good! I highly recommend the fish n chips

This is the best burger I think I've ever had. I hate writing reviews, but this is the third time I've ordered this burger and it's been consistently delicious each time. Probably the best in Chicago. Whatever you do to make that burger so juicy please don't stop hahah. Amazing!!!! If you are a burger fan do not miss out. Perfectly proportioned burger with lettuce tomato pickle onion and a fabulous juice patty. Delicious and fresh!

    Great place to watch soccer!

It was three of us meeting for dinner and some drinks. My friend had white wine, hubby had an Espressotini, and I the watermelon-cucumber marg. Then as an entree, my friend had the Jalisco Burger, hubby had the Salmon, and I a Salmon Caesar Salad. I personally loved the salad and the appetizers were great. Everyone else ate ALL their food, so I assume they also enjoyed it. The location was actually having an 80s night and there was a Dj and space for dancing. There were some people there dress for the themed night and it was just a great vibe. Talking with our friend and eating made us lose track of time and then it was time to leave but before we did, we met one of the owners who actually recommended I come by and visit. (Shoutout to Marcos ) He is the most warm and sunny person, and he was so grateful we actually came by. We had a shot and honestly I'd come back because of him. He told us a little bit about him, his family and about the restaurant backstory. I truly recommend you coming here, you will have a great time. Oh, and almost forgot, they have outside sitting, so you know it will be a great time when you just want to have an outside patio vibe with friends and some drinks. P.s. As you can tell, there are only two pictures. I was so, involved in the moment with my friend's stories and then the appetizers came and nothing else mattered. We all lost track of time and just enjoyed the vibe, the beautiful night, and time with friends, drinks, and food. Oh and 80s music.

Good Delivery Food, But In-Person Service Needs Major Attention…read more I chose PrimeTime Bar for a friend's birthday celebration last night, fully expecting a great experience because I've always been so impressed with their delivery. The kitchen here usually delivers, but the in-person visit was unfortunately dragged down by highly non-attentive service. The bar was pretty quiet and not many people were there at the time. There's open seating, so we quickly sat ourselves. After no initial greeting from the server, we ordered a few drinks from the bartender. We sat for a staggering 45 minutes without a server checking in, offering drinks, or even bringing basic water to the table. I eventually had to get up to request water. When we did finally order, we ordered a few burgers and wings. The burgers were good as expected. The wings had a somewhat strange, possibly pre-breaded texture and were very large, although the flavor was okay. Not to mention the wings were dropped off without plates, so our party of 4 ate on napkins. To top it all off, we had to flag down our server just to pay the bill. It was incredibly disappointing service, especially when the Smashburger is above average. I won't be recommending the in-person experience to anyone anytime soon.
