I came here as part of running the Malort 5k (very fun and everyone should run it next year). Afterwards, I was pretty hungry and had a tasty breakfast sandwich. On the side, there were absolutely scrumptious potatoes that stole the show. As an official partner of the Chicago Fire, I imagine this place is pretty fun for watching soccer games of any variety, so I hope to come back for a game in the future. read more

I cannot tell you how many times I've ordered here and it's been canceled. Tonight was at least the fourth time. This is my fault I realize but I like the chicken tenders so much!!!!!!! But guys. Get it together. Can't speak to in-person dining but god does the takeout suck. ETA: just checked and truly, don't even bother trying to order takeout. Best spot for food & soccer, definitely would recommend if you're looking to watch a game.

I have been here countless times because my boyfriend has been playing soccer at their fields for years and I love coming to this pub. The food isn't my favorite but that's where the negative would end and it is not that I hate it. It just not anything extra and I rather eat elsewhere but that's perhaps because I'm not a bar food fan and prefer healthier food options, ideally vegetarian and there are not many of those here. Nevertheless, when it comes to the service this place is a hidden jam especially since it's inexpensive and fun sport bar! The bartenders and waiters/waitresses are very nice and relaxed just like the people in the bar are. There is typically some seasonal beer on draft and always some sports events or important matches on the TVs which they have plenty. A great spot to grab a beer with your friends. read more

Great overall pub experience. I stopped in with a friend for a quick bite before dance rehearsal. We shared the pub fries and hot wings. Both were great! The fries have a house-made dry rub that's super tasty. Their ranch and blue cheese dressings are also both house made and were a great addition to the hot wings. Watch out, the hot wings are hot! But, the flavor is good. I also had a margarita which was spot on. I've had my fair share of margaritas and this one makes the top of my list. It's not overly sweet, and pretty strong! I especially like the tajín and salt rim. Nice touch. Also, I heard the bartender saying something about them being one of the only places in the city to have a special Heineken tap that keeps the beer tasting fresher. I'm not much of a beer drinker, but it sounded fancy! They space is open and industrial and the service is causal and friendly. They have board games, foosball, big jenga, and a ping pong table outside. Great place to watch sports or just hang out on the patio. I'll be going back! read more

This place was really cool! We went here for a private party and I did not even know this place existed! It's pretty hidden...but what a great area! So cool to have the soccer field right there and then inside it is a very spacious bar area! great outdoor patio with corn hole and lots of tables! Inside they have a couple foosball tables! The atmosphere was great and I had the firehouse margarita, very good! The food was really good! We had the chicken tacos and hummus platter. Basic bar food but it was actually pretty yummy! If my son did not practice at the Pitch, I would not go to this restaurant. The staff is slow and not very accommodating. I had to wave down a staff person to take our order after sitting for 15 minutes without anyone acknowledging us. This on a slow Wednesday evening. I asked if we could get our food before my son's practice let out in half an hour, and I was told they could not help us out. Seriously, the price and food is not that great. Absolutely love this place. I've been playing at the pitch for about two years now, and this spot is my go to spot after finishing up a game. Also enjoy visiting here when I don't have a game there. Different specials daily, awesome food, friendly staff, and just a good vibe. I've always visited this place with a group of friends to catch some matches on tv or even just hang out. Also had a private event here, and everything about it was perfect. Down to the food, drinks, and staff members. The staff really makes the place an enjoyable spot. Great facility , awesome location, perfect for kids and outdoor space is really nice for families. But the bartender is an ogre. Mean as hell. And not in an endearing caricature way. Great spot!! I play soccer here and regularly join my team after our games for a few drinks and food. The menu is excellent, and the space is awesome! When the weather is warm there's an awesome fire pit and patio with outdoor TVS, and in the winter they have two big tvs equipped with Xbox and wireless controllers so you can play pacman and other fun social games while you drink. The only complaint I can think of is the tiny glasses that they give you when you order a pitcher--my advice would be to stock some pint glasses!! Other than that though, it's an awesome place and an awesome facility that makes you feel connected to your favorite Chicago MLS team--Go Red! read more

The hubby and I tried this place after driving around trying to figure out a place that would be overly kid friendly (think cranky 2.5 year old friendly) plus served drinks. It looks out over the field the Chicago Fire practice on which was neat. Food was good, typical bar fare but done well. Pretty sure the chips were homemade. Yum. Lots of TVs, fooseball tables and a fire pit outside. Super casual and the staff were great. Wasn't busy when we went but I think it's new and not a lot of people know it's there. Absolutely love this place! I'm here at least once a week after games. The service staff never disappoints. Jorge and Roger are always on top of everything behind and outside the bar. The staff is always very welcoming and super attentive to our needs. I love coming here to watch games or even just to get some food and drinks the environment is always great I've never had a complaint. Pub 97 is great little sports bar over looking the soccer fields on Addison and Talman. Its a hidden treasure and the food is really fresh and "tasty"! This is basically a soccer lovers paradise. The Chicago Fire has opened up an world class sports facility in the North Center neighborhood, and Pub97 is attached to it - beautifully situated next to both the river and two turf soccer fields with an outdoor patio. We sat out there and had a great evening watching the rec league soccer games, eating their delicious wings (I think this is probably what they're going to be known for..) and watching soccer on the massive outdoor TVs. It was a really cool atmosphere. As a soccer fanatic myself, I'll be making this my regular hang out. They have two professional grade foosball tables that are free to play, as well as giant jenga, beer pong, etc. Dangerously fun!
