I got a solid base in 1.5 months but I imagine girls with more melanin will tan even faster. I burn very easily, and Shakira (hope I'm spelling it right) took so much time helping me understand the different beds, prices, tanning lotions, etc. She always remembers me when I go in, and makes sure i have extra towels and leave with a free cold drink. She is just the sweetest. She listens and checks in regularly, and made sure I started with extremely short sessions (2 minutes) and worked my way up. She also let me upgrade to the premium bed for free a couple times to see what it was like, and even let me try out her personal premium tan accelerator lotion that was out of budget for me. Now with my base tan I feel cuter in shorts and dresses, and I notice that I can actually walk around outside for a few minutes without immediately burning my chest and arms. Yay!

I guarantee this is an extremely unique experience for them, and they were absolutely not smart enough, not caring enough to be accommodating and inclusive. I even told the spray tan girl who was some younger 20s blonde girl from Florida who was dumb as rocks because I told her that I'm a pre-op trans woman, and she looked at me before and goes slay girl! Then proceeded to treat me like a man. This company did absolutely nothing but give me the runaround when I complained about it. They said they would talk to the company and see if they can change the verbiage on the website and in the training so that they know what a trans person is and a month later nothing has changed on their website and I doubt anything has happened behind the scenes except them seeing me as a crazy person when I'm simply just trying to get spray tan like every other woman and had a mortifying experience that no trans person should ever have to go through. Shame on this location shame on this company and I will be going back to see if it happens again and to do more research. I'm ready to do a full out social media smear campaign on them.

The newest beds are spectacular and look like they are from a spaceship; some are by Porsche Design, have Bluetooth, advanced air cooling and multi-lamp systems. It seemed so futuristic back then and they still operate all the most cutting edge tanning equipment. Uvasun was always a little more expensive than the other local tanning salons. I see on their website that they now offer to price-match salons within a 5-mile radius on comparable services except spray tans. In addition to state-of-the-art tanning beds and sunless spray tans they also have light therapy, infrared sauna therapy and body contouring with red and infrared light. It's still located in the same nice and modern building on 3rd street. Their hours are Monday to Friday 10am-8pm, Saturday & Sunday 10am-5pm.
