So we tried a different home-care service for the pups and, while I don't have any complaints about the care they provided, it's (for lack of better words) not the same. We miss the "family-like," very personalized care HAH provided us. In sum, we've gone back to driving the pups over to my mother-in-law's house (1.5 hour drive) when we can't be at home to take care of the pups. When I was one of the lucky ones that went several days without power, Crystal jumped in with extra visits, no problem. GUYS...She even cleaned out my fridge and freezer of spoiled food! YOU READ THAT RIGHT! Voluntarily, she got rid of perishables that were going to be a problem. Good thing, I didn't get power back for another 5 days! What a mess I would've had. She also improvised extra water for the cats through the outage and made everything work for the well being of everyone (physical for cats and mentally for me!). We have had various animals that they have watched through out the years but most recently we have a 7 year old German Shepherd and a 7 month old Lab plus a kitten and two cats. Our sitter has been Hailey. In the beginning, everything was great! We would leave on a 10 day road trip and Hailey would come 4 times a day to take of the animals and we would get updates on the animals plus pictures. After some time, we started getting complaints about our dog Leo, the German Shepherd. That he was jumping on Hailey and causing scratches on her back. After that trip, I asked the owner, Crystal, if they could can still handle Leo and the verified "yes" that he was no problem. As time went on, we got Oso, a lab puppy. We just left on another 10 day road trip and received nothing but complaints and nagging about Oso almost every time Hailey went to our home. She complained so much about him, my husband and I stop replying to her messages. She accused my Oso of nipping and bitting her, which he has never done with me or my kids. I have video footage of her yelling at him and being aggressive towards him because once again, I have a 7 month puppy that will jump on her. Which 7 month old puppies will do! Hailey literally complained about almost everything about Oso. Aren't you a dog sitter? You are supposed to love animals but we definitely do not feel the love for our animals at all during this trip. Hailey is not qualified or has the the patience to deal with puppies or big dogs. 7 days into our trip, we are literally thousands of miles away and Crystal, the owner, calls us to say they no longer can take care of Oso and we need to come home! Or find another arrangement of care for him while we are still on the other side of the country! Are you kidding me?!? Thankfully, we found a lovely young man that was able to do it and he has been wonderful and says Oso is a wonderful puppy and has no issues with him! WOW! What a difference! Thankfully, since our family trip was intentionally ruined with Hailey and her complaints, we finally got to relax our last two days with the help with our new dog sitter, Junior! Honestly, we were not going to book with Crystal's Cozy Pets this trip, but wanted to give them another try. Boy, I should have listened to my gut. When you on vacation, you should be confident that you leave your pets in the hands of someone that will love and take care of them like you would and in all honesty, I don't feel like CCP's can do that.

I had asked for a tour for possible boarding. My dog almost slipped out behind Pam into a room with strange dogs. I was nervous when I dropped my dog off & we were walking through dogs my dog never met. Pam seemed overwhelmed. Said Brenda was still asleep. when we stepped out into the big yard a little dog slipped out behind Pam. I told her & she said he was ok, but earlier said he was new. The dogs rushed us, we couldn't move & the poor pup was growling & snarking. She scolded him & kept talking. He wanted back in. Called at 1, no one answered. They texted they would call me back. I asked about my dog, said she was getting her prebath cut. I asked why she wasn't finished. Groomer had an emergency. I guess the other groomer couldn't do mine first. But, they should've called me. I picked her up. They later told me she was okay, playing with 2 dogs. I don't know how a groomer could be working and making sure the new dog was safe

My main worry is who is watching these dogs? And how no one was able to give me a straight answer on why and how my dog got hurt. Poor baby was anxious and scared the whole day. Went back to cancel the doggy day care plan that I had purchased, once again the girls at the front desk were understanding and cooperative but i just wouldn't risk bringing my dog here again.

Doing our research, we went to Pet Suites and found these rooms much more at home rather than keeping our pet in a kennel barking under fluorescent lights. Her room was a good size, well kept and clean. We usually don't keep her with other dogs and they made sure she could stay separated when having the outdoor play time and using the bathroom. Play, feeding, and bathroom were included. Very grateful for the fantastic/attentive staff and reasonable care. We would definitely book again in the near future.

Then they text me at 4pm ish the day before to say that the Vet has an appointment with her Children the next afternoon and will not be able to make our appointment. I had already been told about the appointment with her children the next day that is why we scheduled the appointment for 2:30 before the appointment. So I guess the Vet decided that we were the last appointment so she should cancel it and then get off early. Meanwhile, My cat has a swollen paw and needs to bee seen. Oh we can drop her off and they put her in a cage until they get a minute to see to her. Doesn't matter if this is upsetting to her only if it is convenient for them and they get to leave early,,, So I guess caring about the patient doesnt count or how she will feel being stuck in a cage for however long it takes to finally get around to her. I thought that VET EMILY cared about her patients,, I guess I was wrong.. WE will find a new vet one that will actually care about their patients and not mind to keep their appointments once their confirmed unless its an EMERGENCY,,

The entire staff treated my pets like they were there own. They keep a very clean facility and the staff are professionals through and through. I appreciate that Dr. Emily will take the time to respond personally to questions/concerns and even at later hours. I will be taking my goat for a procedure in the next week and update my experience then. I don't suspect it will change. They do take Care Credit so that is helpful for the more expensive trips. They offer an early drop off which is convenient for my schedule. I highly recommend this veterinary clinic. It is a hidden East Texas gem.
