    Coconut shrimp

The decor takes your breathe away, especially the cocktail bar and ocean view deck. But the secret is really in the butter rolls to start the meal, and capping it off at the end with the homemade ice cream and oven baked chocolate chip cookies. Along this gastronomic journey is well seasoned and family recipe of conch chowder, coconut shrimp, steamed mussels, refreshing seasonal salads, local catch of the day like Mahi and red snapper. A must stop on your visit to Nevis. We'll be back for more.

Great local fish! They have about 100 different gins too. We had a great gin and tonic.

They were sweet and had a little spice to them. They weren't my favorite but my gf enjoyed them. 2. The Mac and cheese was good as always. From walking in this, this is literally the friendliest Jamaican restaurant I've ever been to. They were so great at describing the menu and informing us about when certain foods would be available (typically no oxtails on Mondays). PLUS they have BYOB karaoke on Fridays?!?! I haven't been yet but I'm in love qpewa Unfortunately I came on a Monday so I was conflicted because I am an oxtail girl through and through so this time I got the brown stewed chicken and jerk chicken plates which come with cabbage and rice peas. And the portions?!?!?!? Are definitely worth it (we got the large). The taste? Delicious. So yeah 5/5, I would quickly recommend!!!

The dining area is pretty spacious and on New Year's eve there were just a few other guests also dining there. A few others came in grabbed to go orders and left. The women's bathroom was spotless. I forgot to get our servers name but she was great and it didn't take too long for us to get our food besides the patties being made fresh to order. The beef, chicken and spinach patties were all fresh, flaky, crispy, and well seasoned with the perfect amount of spice. I had brown stew chicken with rice/peas, cabbage/carrots and plantains and my niece had jerk chicken with white rice, plantains and greens. All the food was good except I felt they skimped on my chicken portion a little and my chicken could've used a little more spice. It was cooked perfectly though, very tender and even though the portion was smaller than I'm used to it was just the right amount for me to eat during lunch, just not enough to take home for later like I'm used to doing at other Caribbean spots. We ended up getting patties, plantains and jerk chicken to go. Also, the patties were fresh and piping hot but the rest of our food was warm, almost room temperature.

Thank god we found this!…read more After finishing our lunch at Wrap & Roll, we saw this out of the corner of the eye and decided to stop here as the girlfriend was looking for some caribbean snacks. Being from St Croix island in the Virgin Islands, seeing the menu and taking in the smells of this place gave her memories of back home. Of course I was happy to indulge her request as it gave me an opportunity to try some handheld eats. First the beef pattie, pretty big and so savory with the meat melting in your mouth and the dough having a nice texture and crust. And then the saheena; OMG! It was my first time having this lovely pastry which is made of chickpeas, spinach, and caribbean spices. You'll be hooked on this after one bite. Texture was similar to a savory piece of cornbread. Of course I was very happy with this item. The girlfriend ordered a currant roll which had some sweetness to it with a flaky crust. I enjoyed it but not as much as I was scarfing down my beef pattie and saheena. They also serve traditional caribbean eats including jerk chicken, oxtails, bake & saltfish, and roti wraps. We noticed a lot of people place to go orders here and call ahead for pick up. There were several bags of eats waiting as we witnessed people roll in and pick them up while having small talk with the owners. All those items looked delicious and we plan to come back and try those out. We also talked to the owners for a bit, they're a husband/wife team who've owned/operated this place for a while. Super polite and gracious, they helped me navigate the menu and explained what the items would be like when I ordered. Sadly I could not get the Aloo Pie (sold out) but they assured me it's worth having and to come back and try it (which we will). Pearland is lucky to have this place here. Definitely recommend trying it out for yourself!

We ended up not going because of the wait but I went back with a friend earlier today and it was REALLY good. Like insanely good. I got the Chicken and Gravy while my friend got the Chicken and Waffles and we both finished our plates cleanly. The service was slow, yes, but they were extremely nice and did have multiple prefaces regarding the wait time. The only I had food wise was that the candied sweet potatoes were a little too sweet for me (and trust me, I love myself some candied sweet potatoes) and I feel like the okra or another one of the sides would've been a better fit for me. The chicken I had was extremely tender and juicy, and the gravy had the perfect amount of sweet and salty where I just gobbled it down with everything. The vibe is nice and homey and overall this place was just great. It for sure isn't someplace you can rush through in 30 minutes, but that kinda adds to the experience that you get the minute you walk in.
