We came on the Sunday of the bank holiday weekend and it was not so busy. Throughout the evening…read morethere were 3 tables being served including ours. The decor is nice, but the music volume was low so we were conscious of our noise level as my 3 year old niece was with us. None-the-less we had a good evening. All the food was presented nicely. From our starters, I mostly enjoyed the Thai fish cakes (4 in a portion) but hoped they would be bigger in size. I wasn't too keen on the chicken hot wings, but the others enjoyed them. They had a twist in that once you bite the Crispy coating you see they have put sweetcorn and some small noodles inside, which I've not seen before. I couldn't fault any of the mains we had as everything was delicious. We ordered more egg fried rice as there was a lot of curry left over. I would say one egg fried rice per person is required.

I've been here a few times and the food is generally fairly good yet I struggle to be overly enthusiastic about it. We opened with tempura vegetables and golden parcels, the parcels were tasty but a little light on the meat while the tempura was just way too big and the batter, while quite light was not quite cooked through. Jungle curry was good as was sticky rice and the noodle and vegetable side was nice and spicy. Given you aren't spoilt for choice for Thai restaurants in the area then I would say the Teak House is worth a visit, it's on the good side of average but it's not somewhere I would travel miles to get to.
