The gift shop is huge. There are two entrances. Make a plan to meet your family before you go downstairs. We had spotty cell service and could only text in the gift shop. There are so many items available. This is a perfect place to Christmas shop and buy gifts for everyone. Every category and price point is covered. I bought charms for $1 with names and inspirational words. There were toys, games, doll houses & furniture, clocks, sayings, clothes, sports items covering the surrounding states/teams, slippers, T-shirts and many things for pet lovers. There was a beautiful quilt area with hand crafted blankets, covers, place mats and so much more. From giant light house statues to tiny smooth gem rocks, this place has you covered! I did not realize the restaurant also had a gift shop, so we made a quick visit after finishing a meal at the buffet. Wow - this gift shop is huge! You could spend hours in here shopping around. There was all kinds of things, from t-shirts, other clothing, collectibles, and Shady Maple specific merchandise. The shop was closing at 8, and I did not get down there until about 10 minutes before the close, but I would've spent a good amount of time looking around otherwise. The staff were all very kind, and provided great service. They asked if I needed anything and were friendly at the checkout. I collect magnets, so I try to get a location-specific one anywhere I go on a trip. I was hoping to get a Shady Maple magnet, and I found one. They only had the one kind in the clip, but there were multiple colors. I chose the green, and also got a cool magnet showcasing Lancaster County. I thought the prices were reasonable, as I only spent $10.58, with tax, on the two magnets. Next time I come, I will definitely budget more time to look around this massive shop. I understand the range in pricing given different vendors price differently, so I'll chalk up some of the more shocking prices to that. My mom shops for Black Americana and did find a few items too. It was clear some were 1800s-early 1900s. Overall many items were there to choose from. Cell service was terrible here but my service was bad in this part of town in general. The staff were great. One person recommended some thrift shops in town for us and chatted with me about a shared interest in thrifting. I would return!

The market is in an old brick building with plentiful parking. As many have noted-it is massive. There is just so much to see on all the three floors-there really is something for everyone here. Glasses, plates, toys, Christmas decor, old electronics, telephones, and so, so much more. We had a wonderful time exploring, and I picked up a few things I had long been wanting. I'm not an expert in antique pricing, but it all seemed reasonable to me. I definitely plan to visit again when in Pennsylvania.
