It is an eclectic mix of current collectibles like Byers Choice Carolers, folk art themed items, and big and small eye candy like locally made ornaments and cards. There are 4 rooms - a large front sales area, then a smaller area with fine items and foods, an area with lighting and collectibles and then in the rear, an area filled with vintage and antique finds. There are a large number of candles of a large variety of scents and manufacturers. I bought a bayberry scented jar candle and wasn't thrilled with the strength of the scent when I burned it. I would have been better off with the bayberry tapers. It's difficult to describe the items for sale except to say that the variety is extensive, some local items, gift items in all price ranges and something for everyone who is enticed by a country collectible vibe. Honestly, we found the owners to be extremely nice and accommodating; no issues at all. As an antique mall it's fantastic...with case after case of interesting stuff. The layout sort of draws you from one area to the other, and there's always something really cool right around the corner. Not sure why someone complained that the place is cluttered; we didn't find that to be the case at all. In fact, it sort of feel like you're walking through a small museum. Cases are well lit, most are organized, and we found the prices to be fair. We found several pieces to add to our collections. A major plus is the fact that they're open late on Friday, Saturday and Sundays; all the other antique places in the area closed at 5. Overall, we really loved the place, and look forward to a return trip.

I understand the range in pricing given different vendors price differently, so I'll chalk up some of the more shocking prices to that. My mom shops for Black Americana and did find a few items too. It was clear some were 1800s-early 1900s. Overall many items were there to choose from. Cell service was terrible here but my service was bad in this part of town in general. The staff were great. One person recommended some thrift shops in town for us and chatted with me about a shared interest in thrifting. I would return!

Friendly employees throughout, and if you're with a non-shopper who's biding time while you poke around, he/she can hang out in their lounge. I think some items are over-priced, through no fault of the mall. Vendors set their own rates. Going by the adage 'nothing ventured, nothing gained' it can't hurt to ask for a discount!

Though I no longer actively collect -- I've downsized since selling my house -- I still look at items that interest me and rarely pass up a deal. Mad Hatter has beautiful pottery. (I've collected Hull and Roseville for 35+ years.) Several booths specialize in kitschy mid-century items which I find fun. I debated about purchasing the snack bowls I photographed, which my mom had in the 1950s. (Decided against it. Nostalgia didn't win out this time.) You can breeze through the mall or spend hours looking. Parking is easy, the staff is helpful and as said, if you're looking to build a collection, Mad Hatter is worth a visit.

Their window display was super charming and it drew me. Inside I found lots of goodies like accessories, stationary, jewelry, candles, home decor and such all nicely displayed. The store had a bit of a warm, natural feel to it and perhaps that is because of the plants. The items that caught my eye the most were some sturdy barrettes, a pair of lovely hoop earrings and a "crazy plant lady" sticker. Lititiz has a lot of great specialty shops but I think this is my favorite!
