[901] 4/22/2019 This is probably my favorite antique mall around. Plenty of parking at this location. The store is set up with tons of different vendors. You pick what you want and pay in the front. All items are clearly marked. Most booths have discounts. They have staff walking around to help customers or just bring your item to the front. This made for easy shopping. The store is clean. Credit card is accepted. I'll definitely be back

We have been visiting the Mad Hatter for several years. I don't always find something, as is the way with antiquing, but I enjoy the variety of items here. The display cases are nicely maintained and prices range from very reasonable to pricey. It is a pleasant place to stroll and take your time. The staff is friendly and accommodating, not stuffy like some of the other malls in the area. This one remains one of my favorites.

Sensory overload on overpriced junk. The prices were sky high with a lot of inventory. I wish them luck in this economy.

I felt aweful for the shop owners. Things seemed a bit pricier than other markets, but I would assume the rents are high. The place is extremely clean and very pretty and picturesque. I really hope it gets busier as the summer season goes on.

This is a great concept if only they had more vendors/tenants. The shop owners we did get to visit…read morewere all friendly and engaging. Each with their own artisanal craft. The village itself features homes with living areas on the upper floors with shops (or extra living/office space) on the ground floor. Perfect for those entering a new chapter in their lives. Offering not just a home but business opportunity as well Most of the shop buildings were vacant which was disappointing - to further complicate things there are residences onsite so it's hard to tell the shops from the homes. When in doubt - stay out is how I explored What we did get to see: Plumb Pudding - you're going to need your head on a swivel here as there is A-LOT to take in. She has 2 shops in the village and each is packed to the brim with eclectic items and unique treasures. A Lego shop with an amazing display of fully put together sets and a running train! The most charming shop keeper, a young at heart gentleman who took the time to talk to us and educate us on the Lego trains. Outta my Gourds artist was so lovely explaining the process and her creations. Fire Kissed featured beautiful handmade copper jewelry as well as silver and healing stone pieces. We finished our adventure at the Village Haus for a filling (and reasonable) lunch. Most eateries in these artisan villages are pricey, but not here. The food was hot, tasty, and dare I say cheap! Drinks, apps, soups, sandwiches and tip under 50 bucks, we could not believe it. 5 stars for the shop keepers but only 3 for the venue as it needs time to grow and expand. Charming and quaint and perfect for the fall day we found it. Stoudtburg Village is a surprise diversion from the antique row and definitely worth popping in. The shops, small but the heart is big here and the talents are worth seeing. We will be back next fall when out leaf peeping and antiquing to see how they grow.

That said, there are plenty of over-priced goods at Renninger's, but there are bargains to be had, a good mix of antiques, pretty things, collectibles (not my bag), and overall a good time to be had if you remember that this is a flea market, though indoors. Yes, some booths are not open but out of probably 150 or so it was maybe 10-12 booths; people have lives over-and-above their booths. As far as it being a social event for dealers, have you ever done a multi-dealer flea market or antique show? Is it annoying to have to search for a dealer? Yes. Ask nearby dealers; they know each other and help out! We had to search for at least 3 different dealers for booths today. One was very nice but the item I was looking at was mismarked. One was nice, and willing to work with us on price due to condition. The third was also very nice and worked with us to test an item and make a deal on multiple items. Really, what more can you ask for other than legit steals (don't think we haven't found a few of those there as well!)?

Since I've downsized, I've become a passive shopper but that doesn't stop me from looking and buying. Last time here I focused on Adamstown Antique Mall. Today, Adams Antique Annex. What impressed me is the sheer size of this store and the number of booths brimming with merchandise. The store offers 10% off any item exceeding $10; a good number of vendors looking to clear stock offer additional discounts. Ah .... bargains! I have a set of green-stemmed wine glasses that my husband brought back from Germany. They fit nicely in the dishwasher, but over the years several broke. While not looking to replenish -- I have other glasses -- when I saw these at $35 plus 35% off, I thought 'why not?' We live in a hundred year old building; I'd been eyeing old advertising thermometers for my tiny porch. Apparently, they've become a 'thing' but not willing to spend hundreds of dollars as many are priced, I wasn't optimistic. T spotted one from Yeager Supply, still in business in Reading, PA. While not campy, and not as old as I'd like -- this dates to the late 1960's -- at $18 (plus the store's 10% discount) it was a no-brainer. Jewelry, pottery, furniture, you name it. With pleasant staff and so much to look at -- plus, the mall is air conditioned! -- add Adams Antique Annex to your list.
