Drag show!
Joshua H.

This was our favorite bar in Dublin. We went multiple nights. Drag Bingo was a blast, as were the drag performances. We also went another night and saw Doveena/Divina/Devina not sure of spelling but she was Fun! The bartenders were nice. The patrons were mostly kind friendly and chatty! We had a blast here and we are looking forward to coming back one day!

Great time! There was a $10 cover on Friday, but we had a lot of fun. Great music and amazing drinks. Tons of space inside, a lot of stairs, so be mindful, but there are different bars. If you get there early you'll get a good seat, and maybe catch a drag show!

€9 cover charge URGH!!!!

Meh.... Oh, The George, the George. What an interesting experience this was! So, first things first, that €9 cover charge. We were not amused. Your choices of music sucked. Jarring is definitely an understatement! It's like they hired a DJ straight out of a bad wedding reception, playing all the cheesiest tunes no one wants to dance to. I guess they missed the memo that good music can be a make-it-or-break-it factor for any clubbing experience. And speaking of dancing, can we talk about the make-out sessions? Wait, isn't this supposed to be a gay bar? There's too many straight people! I mean, sure, inclusivity is important, but shouldn't the straight folks save their PDA for Tinder or something? There's also no older gays. They are either not allowed here or they scared them off. Let the LGBTQ+ community have their spotlight, for crying out loud! And let's not forget the pièce de résistance, the bathrooms! Ah, nothing makes you question your life choices more than stepping into a seedy and grimy bathroom. I mean, who needs shiny, sparkling tiles when you can have the authentic grunge experience, right? Just... don't touch anything, and bring hand sanitizer. Lots of it. All in all, The George, you had your moments, and not necessarily the good kind. Check out the other gay bars instead. At least they don't have a cover charge.

This place was sooooo much fun! I am from California, USA and traveled to Dublin with a group. I decided to go out for the night and met some locals who were sooooo much! They took me here and wow I was impressed. I am not gay but back home In our community some of the places aren't too safe to go alone to. I was pleased with how welcoming this place was and how safe the environment felt to me. The drinks were inexpensive and rhetorical music was so good! I danced all night!

Drag show Wednesday night

Had a blast here! Bartenders are nice and the shows are always amazing! The dance floor is the perfect size and there is also an outdoor area to sit and chill if you are looking for a more private conversation.

What's new--and even more off-putting--is the bar's sudden obsession with virtue signaling. Bartenders now wear overt political merchandise, including Palestinian symbols and watermelon shirts, while serving alcohol all night long. The contrast feels less like thoughtful advocacy and more like performative posturing. It's hard to take the messaging seriously when it's paired with selling expensive cocktails, generating profits for the business, and offering no meaningful engagement beyond surface-level symbolism. Everyone is entitled to their views, but when a bar prioritizes political theater over basic hospitality, it alienates customers who just want decent service and a comfortable, welcoming environment. Between the attitude, the prices, and the preachy vibe, there are plenty of better places to spend your money.

Everything screamed pride and joy. The drinks are on the pricy end, but honestly, so worth it. I went for a Yellow Spot Old Fashioned, and of course, a pint. Service was amazing. It was yet another bar that I could find myself spending hours in. To me, it was impossible to find a place filled with such happiness. And yet, here I was. I can't recommend Street 66 enough. If you're around, give this place a visit. You won't be disappointed. Absolute 15/10.

I ended up coming back two more times during my stay. Each time I came in, there was a nice red-headed gentleman behind the bar. We got to chatting a little bit and he filled me in the neighborhood, which was very nice. I found the prices to be reasonable, but I am not very familiar with the Euro exchange rate. I don't know when I'll get back to Dublin, but I will definitely get back here when I do.

It's not healthy. In Nealon's on this beautiful sunny day I waited patiently whilst the young bartender coaxed my drink to life. I listened to the banter. I got dirty looks when I took out my fancy phone to check my e-mails. I admonished myself for bringing the artificial rush into the sanctuary of the natural pace. This modern world makes silence between thoughts or words embarrassing and in someway a poor reflection on your social skills... You could be updating your status but instead you should be looking at the ironed in laughter marks of the auld man to your left chatting to his friend and learn. That to me is what being Irish is. It's so much more than a nationality. It's a state of mind. To be Irish to me is remember that precious time with friends, family, nature and more importantly yourself. In Nealon's you get the chance to sit and be still and reflect on your thoughts. So to that I say - happy belated St. Patricks day to you all and remember to slow down.

We got the Michelangelo: house-made red sauce, caramelized onions, goat cheese, parmesan, and basil pesto. All the ingredients were ample and in balance. I liked that the parmesan was added after the baking as large shavings, and the pesto was attractively piped on in large circles. The 12 inch size along with the salad was just right for lunch. The salad was perfectly tossed with the Caesar dressing which wasn't disagreeably heavy as some can be. It included plenty of seasoned croutons and parmesan shavings. It was on the menu as Chicken Caesar Salad but I ordered it without chicken, thinking that the plain was also available and for a smaller price. It turned out to the be the same price. My mistake, or theirs? Not sure but no matter. To drink I had a Rosé Prosecco which was nicely bubbly. Sometimes sparkling wines by the glass can be flat, but not here. The room was attractive, with neutral tones and brick, and decorated with artwork and framed photos. Service was fast but not rushed, so we were able to relax for a bit, have a great lunch, and have plenty of time left in the day to continue our exploration of Dublin City Centre. The "Good Food Ireland" designation means that Pacino's has been certified as using local, sustainable ingredients. I like that. I learned this from https://goodfoodireland.ie/about/ Looking at the full menu I'd have no hesitation coming here for a more complete meal and trying some of the many Italian standards, maybe finishing with a Nutellotto Pizza or gelato (several flavors available) for dessert.

The apple pie was fine, but not life changing b/c the apple filling was too pasty and not fresh. Service is the thing that stops me from giving this place a 5 star. No one checks whether you've been seated / taken care of yet; I had to go up to a waitress after minutes, only for her to tell me to continue to wait when there were barely any customers. Once seated, it was hard flagging someone down still. Interior is nice though and spacious.
