Another stop on our pub crawl. We were treated to a wonderful bar that felt like the most accepting place on earth. Everything about this bar: the decor, the atmosphere, the vibe. Everything screamed pride and joy. The drinks are on the pricy end, but honestly, so worth it. I went for a Yellow Spot Old Fashioned, and of course, a pint. Service was amazing. It was yet another bar that I could find myself spending hours in. To me, it was impossible to find a place filled with such happiness. And yet, here I was. I can't recommend Street 66 enough. Unfortunately, this place continues its downward slide. Service is still consistently rude, and the drinks remain wildly overpriced for what you get. What's new--and even more off-putting--is the bar's sudden obsession with virtue signaling. Bartenders now wear overt political merchandise, including Palestinian symbols and watermelon shirts, while serving alcohol all night long. The contrast feels less like thoughtful advocacy and more like performative posturing. It's hard to take the messaging seriously when it's paired with selling expensive cocktails, generating profits for the business, and offering no meaningful engagement beyond surface-level symbolism. Everyone is entitled to their views, but when a bar prioritizes political theater over basic hospitality, it alienates customers who just want decent service and a comfortable, welcoming environment. On a wet day, nice to get out of rain for a pint. Nice lighting and clean. Glad tables aren't sticky. My server was friendly and helpful. Pint of Guiness was nice and cold. The evening before flying back to the states. Gathered up the hubby and the cousins to at least go out to a "family" bar as we would call it. Sent the cousins the pin drop to the location and we all met up. I had a few pints of the lager. I forget what the name was, but it was delish. It got me tipsy for real. My cousins and the hubby also had a few drinks as well. We weren't totally drunk, but the conversations were fire. The place isn't too too hard to find. Somewhere around a km away from our airbnb. To the Americans,, that would less than a mile mile. It's cozy, didn't take us very long to find a table to ourselves. Definitely enjoyed ourselves with our conversations and drinks. Did some pretty extensive research about where to find the sapphics before showing up in Dublin and this place kelt popping up. Right in the center of Dublin by Temple Bar, Street 66 was so fun and queer and comfortable. The decor is so cute and it was fun seeing it right after pride! Went on a Thursday night and it was busy but quiet. Everyone was in their groups at tables drinking and having fun. Went back on Friday and they had turned the upstairs into a dance floor , and the bottom floor was quiet a bit more packed and the music was definitely louder, but it was still a more casual, sit and chat vibe. Definitely more gay men on Friday than Thursday. The heavy majority of people in there are Irish, despite its touristy location. The bartenders and staff are nice and effective and present. read more

Myself and my wife had a great night out. The staff all seemed friendly. It was the third time we had been there and we would go back again. As a straight couple we didn't feel out of place at all and we spent the night talking to different people. The back area seems to be more for the younger age group, personally for us we like sitting up around the front door area as most people are a little bit older. It's a great bar for a drink no matter who are what you are. We hope to go back again sometime soon. read more

First they actually used their full bar unlike many others my friends took us to, there was great music playing, and people were clearly having a great time. Wow. Rude bartender ruined this place for me. I was alone as I was on a layover. I sat at the bar and ordered a Monkey 47 and tonic and she says "um, thats €9.50, just so you know". Im not sure what you were incinuating, but I can afford it, honey. And you told me there were no drink specials, but then offered it to the 3 Irish guys who came in after me. Wow. Such a great ambiance! Beautiful mix of all LGBTQXYZ people. Cute bartender girl guy team behind the bar. I really was in the mood for a Manhattan so I asked if they served it, bartender said yes and that he will bring it to me. He knocked out other quick drinks and put some love into my drink and brought it right over. The care the staff takes goes far beyond expected, we had exceptional service, and it was yuuuuuuuum! One room also had a big screen soccer game. Neat place, cool furniture. All staff picks up empty glasses, one with a little sass but wonderful in his own way. Get it Gurl!! read more

Horrible drinks. Ordered the Manhattan off their cocktail menu. I assumed that since it was listed on their menu they'd know how to make a decent Manhattan. Wrong! Hands down the worst Manhattan I've ever had. I understand some bars don't make a good Manhattan, but if you have a drink listed on your cocktail menu you should know the basics of the drink. My favorite spot in town, either to go out on weekends or to chill out. The cocktails are superb and they really know how to get perfect martinis. They have many many gins and different garnishes depending the nature of the gin. Bar staff was super friendly and helpful. Do not come here. I had broken my foot and was at the bar, and got kicked out for not being able to walk straight (the owner told the bouncer to kick me out but to be nice about it, in front of people I knew who heard her call me an alcoholic) - when I asked why, I was told that I had had too much to drink despite not having had anything to drink that day. Skip it - there are better bars and better gay bars to go to while in Dublin, so don't waste your time here). read more
