I went here to watch the England Vs Ireland rugby match as it's an Irish bar and I couldn't get tickets to get into Twickenham stadium to watch it.
They erected a huge marquee in the car park which filled out and had an Irish group playing their stuff on a stage in the corner. Of course, after a few too many Guinnesses the place was littered with dancing bodies.
My second visit here was for Paddy's day which was even livlier than before and had the same band too. Unfortunately this time it was filled with chav's leering and perving over the drunken Irish girls which was pretty unpleasant. I've got quite long hair and I worried that they might mistake me for one of them!
All in all, the atmosphere was okay and it was good to hear some Irish music and dance along... BUT... it just didn't feel authentic and certainly is not a traditional Irish bar with real atmosphere and personality. read more
