I only come here to meet up with Irish friends who live local.
This really is a locals pub. If you are not from the area and just walk in, you'd probably feel intimidated. It's that kind of place. The mix here is strange. The regulars tend to be a mix of Irish and West Indian's. It's strange, which is reflected in the music. They tend to play a lot of Irish music here mixed up the country and western (apparently the St Lucian's love it!!).
The bar itself is furnished okay for a local. They have a pool table and have a few screens showing sports. They tend to show a lot of Irish sporting events too. The toilets are basic, but I've seen worse. The prices are pretty reasonable too.
I tend to only come here, late afternoon or early evening. I'm not sure it has the same atmosphere towards the end of the evening. The pub is what it is. A local boozer for local boozers! read more
