View overlooking the Hudson - An outdoor wooden arch decorated with flowers stands over a table with a white cloth, set against a scenic landscape with mountains and a blue sky.

This was a fabulous venue for wedding. Weather was perfect for outdoor ceremony. We moved indoors for reception, and everything was top notch. One small issue for management to make note of. Apparently the lights in the restrooms were on a timer. Automatic upon entry, but would shut off before leaving. Glad I had flashlight on my phone.

Came here for a wedding reception. I wanted to give it 4 stars, because the staff was on cue when it came to clearing dishes, and adjusting your seating area, but overall it took a while between the starter and entrees to get our food, and then took a long time for cake and coffee. There weren't THAT many guests at this wedding... perhaps 150? It was a decent size wedding but this place seemed to have plenty of staff to make it work. Even if the food was "made to order" (we had a selection of salmon or braised beef) it shouldn't take that long to feed us after the starter. The reception started at 3:00, and the restaurant made us wait in the tiny reception area because they weren't ready for us. Around 3, we had appetizers of cheese and a medley of hot food while the bride and groom were busy with pictures. We didn't adjourn to the dining room until maybe 4:30, and the starter came within 20 minutes. Dinner wasn't served for over an hour and there was such a gap in time that the band had people dancing BEFORE dinner to kill time. It could be a 4 star, but this review is 3 stars for the slowness of the kitchen, and the long gap between the starter/ entree, and cake cutting/ cake and coffee served.

Was here as a guest at a wedding and the food gets 5 stars. Everything was great and tasted freshly made with high quality ingredients. The view and overall the grounds are a great location.

    Hello Hudson Valley!
    Ryan C.

From the minute we walked in we felt so welcomed! Mr. Brown showed us around and took care of us, he spent a few minutes explaining the garden to us as well as the views. We Came for a quite dinner, and although the views were awesome nothing beats the FOOD! We started with the rock shrimp tacos, they were great with a slight touch of spice perfectly executed. Then we had the lobster sliders, the lobster itself was exceptional...but the rolls do not skip the bread it comes on. We had upon recommendation the flatbread heirloom tomato and feta cheese...WOW the cold asparagus soup was very very good and quite refreshing on a warmer day! For the main course we had the lobster risotto, the best and lightest risotto ever! The flavor burst as soon as you took a spoonful, it will not disappoint and will be your new favorite! Desert...oh boy desert! KC the executive pastry chef outdid herself with the birthday cake ice cream as well as the cheesecake compote. I can say this is a new favorite spot!

It was easy to find during the afternoon but I can see how some people can get lost here at night since the area is very dark with no street lights. The entrance was very an unassuming so my first impression was just meh. The courtyard where the cocktail and hors d'oeuvres were held was just plain. The food was good though. Very tasty. Then we were moved to the reception hall. Wow. They did a great job decorating the place! I know the wedding was small but the location was perfect for it. The food was delicious as well!

In early December one of my former coworkers held his wedding here along the Hudson Valley line area. . . . excuse me . . . . but I'm not familiar with anything in New York outside of the city. But MAN is it gorgeous out here. There was a castle on a hilltop in the distance! Small mountains or very big hills surrounding sweeping planes of golf course green. The back area had a fire pit and seating while inside there were epic chandeliers, toasty fireplaces, and long tables set up along the sides with a large dance hall area for the middle in a giant hall. The actual wedding took place in a greenhouse like atrium attached and covered outside. Seriously, gorgeous building and location for any special occasion or wedding. The service was impeccable. Waiters came by for the toasting hour before dinner with little appetizers and canapes. There was some kind of delicious mapley fatty bacon in there somewhere that was awesome. So why four stars and not five? Man, those bartenders, even though they are very generous and sweet as can be, cannot pour a good drink. I switched from wine because I wasn't a fan of it to quickly an old fashioned which tasted incredibly off. I think because it was a more classic style. But then later I experimented with trying a Manhattan cocktail after I saw my friend with it and that was even worse. Finally, resolved to sticking to well liquor and a simple mixer and everything was fine after that. The food was meh. The salad course was actually my favorite part. I'm not sure if they make the food on premises though or if there is a catering deal of sorts. But we had an arugula salad with a lemon vinaigrette and shaved pecorino romano and it was AWESOME. So flavorful and simple and refreshing. For my entree the choices were either diver sea scallops or New York Strip Steak. Easy choice. Steak, duh. It was served with garrison seasonal farm vegetables and parmesan risotto in a red wine jus. The sauce was interesting - good I think but weird. The meat was really tough. It was cooked okay but it was just a super poor cut of meat with a lot of fat grizzle and just hard to chew and enjoy. That was the main focal point of the meal though and I was pretty dismayed. Also heard from other people at the wedding that the scallops were just as bad. Very tiny portion and it had a funky off taste to them. Great location, stunning and in every sense beautiful beyond words. Food and drinks - very meh. Solid Four stars.

On my first visit, I wasn't expecting it to look so eye appealing, but stepping in sure answered that question. The room is fairly large with plenty of seating and also a balcony with tables along with a bar - pretty cool if you ask me. With it being very crowded, there are two stair wells to move foot traffic along quickly. I like the decorations all around the room, especially the disco balls that were hanging (a big fan of disco, no joke). It's awesome just taking it all in. The room looked very clean for our event, and I highly recommend booking them for any event if your choice. *Parking is provided on the street and also a parking area just east of this building. First off, I have to say this, I've never seen anything like the Dramatic Hall. It sure lives up to its name. Seriously so much drama and it surely is a photographers playground. It was the perfect atmosphere for a Sunday wedding. Can't say enough how much I enjoyed photographing a wedding here. Everything was so royal and "extra" without being too over the top. The lightning truly was my favorite as well as all the industrial/modern feels. Love the disco balls that hang elegantly as well as the two stairs that wrap around. It's such a fun, different space for any occasion but especially for a wedding. Parking's not the best but they have street parking available nearby. Sunday's it's free so that's a plus. If you're looking for a different kind of venue this is your spot. You will love all the drama and fun it has!

It exemplifies the degradation in society at all levels, companies, businesses, corporations, media, culture. What used to be dignified civil society has become a sewer mass of immorality and degradation where the debased and degraded is lauded as the accepted cultural norm. Yes the facilities of this enterprise are just fine - new, "modern" in all its expected respects, but I was speaking of something far greater than all of that. Do not simply accept and go along with what this present culture has become; because it's now the world around you does not mean you cannot stand up and speak out against it. Invariably you'll get the immature and unprofessional response below - in my day businesses would have apologized, perhaps tried to explain in a more conciliatory matter to the prospective patron that sometimes communiques can become more casual when people are feeling more comfortable (although the regular outgoing company newsletter should not and never be) and to apologize for the laxity. In this case, not only was there no such apology, the result is for the person speaking to be ostensibly "removed" from the sphere of discussion, "cancelled" if you will out of the recipient's domain; obviously it was just your particular sensibility that was offended, no real violation of cultural norms had occurred so we don't need to even take you seriously or offer you the civilized respect of a discussion about it. My point is, the more you don't speak out and allow garbage, the more garbage you'll find around you, and it is all around us now, no matter how new and shiny the surface. ---------------------------------------------- Me: Hello could you please refrain from including curse words or ostensibly covered up curse words in your newsletters, e.g., "Perfect for folks who have a short-term project and just need a private space to get $h!t done." Maybe just one generation ago, that would be unheard of in a professional communication sent out by a seemingly professional organization, but the worst forms of degradation are happening in every from of media, corporations and advertising; this is just another symptom and evidence. I really don't want to be bombarded with curse words first thing in the morning when I open up a company information newsletter. Thank you. Owner: Apologies to have offended you, Anita. We will remove you from our email list. Best, Scott
