Great brunch food, INCREDIBLE coffee. Had a large mocha - can't go wrong starting your day with that.

Open Monday to Sunday the Deck serves freshly made breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea filled with an array of home baked cakes that they serve the old fashioned way with their original bone china. As soon as you walk in you're enveloped in lovely cake baking and roasted coffee aromas, and if you want to sit in, you can take your pick between the 'upper deck', which is usually quite busy, or the cosy downstairs area - although they also offer take away if you're in a rush. Ttheir food selection looks tempting, but I've not yet sampled anything other than their home made brownies - which are so good it makes me think the rest of their menu will be equally delicious. The coffee's also very palatable, and with free WiFi it's a great spot for informal meetings if you work in the area.

As you enter the market you will be greeted by the same smell of fresh fish that has filled my childhood memories of this place. Woody's café do great greasy spoon grub. I recommend the eggs on toast. I know it's just eggs and toast, but still, it was better than my usual efforts. Plus it's dirt cheap. Sitting in the old Cardiff Market with some egg on toast, reading the paper and watching the hive of activity all happening below you makes it a welcome break from your usual high street shopping and eating experience. The Cardiff Market seems a world away from the likes of St. Mary's Street, Queen Street, and St. David's 2, and it's the atmosphere that does this.

You can nose over the balcony in Cardiff Central Market at the goings on below. You could, if you were me, scribble in a notebook or read a novel. I'd recommend the coffee, and I like good coffee. Woody's sell quality coffee: single farm Arabica, fresh roasted and freshly ground. Mmmmmmmm. So whether you want a cappuccino (£1.70), Latte (£1.60), or a short sharp expresso shock (£1.40) this is a great place to caffeine up. They also sell hot chocolate for those who prefer life calm and much less jittery. Hungry? They do lots of Things On Toast. Things like beans or egg.

This coffee place seems to have more outdoor seats than indoors. There are seats indoors as well but you wouldn't stay inside and not enjoy the sunlight unless you're Edward Cullen. Coffee Mania is a pleasant place to be. I went on an extremely hot day so I didn't order a coffee because I feel I would of melted right then and there if I had anything else hot touch me. I went for a chilled fizzy cranberry drink. This hit the spot just lovely. I sat on one of the outside table with some friends. It was calm, fun and reasonably priced. Usually when I go to a coffee place I expect to pay a lot but this seemed different to me. Not only is it cheap you can download some vouchers in order to get 2 for 1 on coffees. Now that is worth a visit. Coffee Mania is a lovely coffee place that has a full choice of drinks. It has some options for lunch as well. Also, why not treat yourself to a cheeky little cake. You only live once right?

Its also a little bit cheaper and after having a beautiful white hot chocolate and coconut drink there yesterday I a devoted fan, especially since their hot chocolate is hot, not luke warm like it always is in Starbucks. One minor problem I find is that the service can be really slow. They also have a good range of smooties and ice-blends, and sell ice-creams from the freezer so in summer especially it would cater for the whole family.

A solid 4 stars from me (5 stars is reserved for my mind being blown). ATMOSPHERE: Really awesome. This location has everything upstairs so you enter and there's a few stairs or a lift to take you to the main area. The bar area boasts plenty of seating with stools and couches as well to cater to groups of various sizes. Despite being a bar, it's quite upscale and kept very clean. The décor is very interesting as well with a very interesting mural on the wall reminiscent of 1950s Soviet propaganda which definitely amused us! CUSTOMER SERVICE: Long queues at the bar, but the staff did their best to keep up with demand. After ordering food, everything took a reasonable time to arrive and our waitress took great care of us. No problems at all with the service. FOOD & DRINKS: Their pina colada was excellent. For food, I had the Roasted Pork Belly. Cooked very well, the only fault is that the gravy was a bit bland and required quite a bit of extra seasoning from myself to give it a bit more life. Also tried the Whole Baked Camembert which came with some chutney and bread. Can't go wrong with excellent camembert! --- Overall, the food was great and well cooked. Our large group was well looked after and everything came at the same time which a lot of places don't pull off well at all. No faults that I can find! I would definitely come back again.
