Brownie sundae

*Surprising island gem* We chose to check out the Galley from reviews and limited options for restaurants on our overnight stay on Lopez island. It was a Friday night at 7pm and we walked into an empty restaurant. They have an excellent view of the water and sunset backdrop led us to give it a shot. The service always swift as you would expect and server was very friendly, she gave us some highlights of specials and we decided on the fish and chips and mango salsa fish tacos. The food came out quickly and was large portions. The fish was light and crispy and very delicious! The mango tacos were equally tantalizing, with a local chipotle sauce that was amazing. We finished it off with sharing a brownie sundae and after sitting for a bit strolled our to enjoy the perfectly timed sunset. I hear they have great breakfast so we will likely be back in the morning as we are confident that it will be as good as what we had there tonight.

Rockfish stuffed with crab and shrimp

This was our first time at Lopez Island so didn't know the area very well and to be honest, didn't seem like there were a lot of places to choose from. We came here since our kayak tour guide recommended it to us. We ordered the crab wontons as an appetizer and shared the rockfish stuffed with crab and shrimp accompanied with rice and grilled vegetables. Everything was tasty. We sat outside and it was a great view. The waitress was very friendly and helpful.

A wonderful restaurant with no pretense, a homey feel, and delicious food. Three generations found everything they could possibly desire on the diverse and inspiring menu. Every dish was executed to perfection, and the staff was gracious, efficient, and exceedingly friendly. Worth the short walk or dinghy ride for any boater in Fisherman Bay, Lopez Island.

The place to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner on Lopez Island. The waitresses are friendly, the atmosphere is chill. I had the fresh shrimp fettuccine that was tasty and plentiful. I boxed up the leftovers and had it for lunch the following day. The bloody Mary's and margaritas are an excellent addition to an afternoon lunch or dinner. I am on Lopez a lot and what makes it great is that the galley is open year round.

Super delicious! I personally had the fish and chips which were really really good! Perfectly crispy and the fish was tasty and flaky. I also tasted the mango salsa tacos which were super delicious. Highly recommended. A great island feel with a great veie!

Best eggs Benedict I've had! Super friendly service. Always come here when visiting the island.

Fish and chips 4 piece

We came here for an early dinner as there aren't many options for a Tuesday dinner on the island. We chose this restaurant based off a good review for the clam chowder. We ended up ordering calamari, clam chowder, and 2 orders of fish. The calamari was so yummy, large pieces instead of the smaller rings I'm used to. The clam chowder was amazing, everything I wanted it to be. The fish was very light in flavor, the Mac N Jack breading was delicious, but the tartar sauce it was so great! The lady boxed our leftovers and I was so sad to see just fish no tartar sauce, but that's ok. The fish portions are huge btw, they come in a 4 piece and 6 piece. Overall we had a really yummy dinner, would go back again.

Don't get me wrong, downtown…read moreArlington has a healthy amount of nightlife spots for a grand ole time, but The Lounge offers a trendy, almost speakeasy vibe. Our party of two was greeted shortly after walking in, abiding by the 'Please wait to be seated' signage. We were given the option to choose our preferred 2 top table which we selected on next to the cool cork wall. A Johnny Cash/rockabilly-esque gent was on stage for their live music entertainment (shout out to Yotesmusic from Olympia). There was a group of 8-10, two sets of couples dining, and 4 at the bartop, with 3 tables enjoying their outdoor dining - so it was comfortably crackin! Initial service took awhile and 2 parties seated after us were served before us, so I went to the bar to put our order in. As soon as I approached the bar, I was told the bartender would be over shortly. (Not sure how sections worked, as it seemed the server had most of the dining area where we were seated, including the table right next to us.) Anywho, service was friendly thereafter, and we were thanked for our patience. Once orders were in, drinks and food came out quickly. The caprese skewers were great - the mozzarella balls were soft and the ingredients on everything was fresh and flavor forward. The Primavera pizza is incredible - so light but crazy robust at the same time. They also weren't messin around with the fresh arugula and parmesean shavings. We also ordered a bread and olive oil balsamic appetizer, the bread is sourced from a local woman owned small business (The Hammond Bread Co.) which gave me the warm and fuzzies seeing local small businesses supporting each other in this way. Plus, the bread is perfection! Craft cocktails aplenty that I look forward to trying, I opted for an Italian pinot grigio this time around which was light and refreshing. So many reasons to check The Lounge out, and I'm so elated to have an option like this in town!
