This is the place if you are looking for a little relaxation away from home. I booked the…read moresalt/sauna/steam package for myself and made my first visit the The Spa on a Saturday morning. The girl at the front desk was very welcoming. She gave me a key and showed me to the ladies locker room. The locker room is small. Also, the lockers are right in front of the entrance, so it's not ideal if you're shy. People will come and go as you are getting undressed. They were also assigning the lockers in exact numerical order, so while you are trying to get undressed, there will be another patron just standing there waiting to be able to enter their locker which is right next to yours. It would be helpful if they would at least assign them more broadly, so the other patron might be at the opposite end of the row lockers. I will say though, the locker room was pretty clean. There were hot tea and cereal bars available as well as a selection of various toiletries. It would have been nice to have spa water available in there though. After spending time in the sauna and steam shower, something cold to drink would have been great. I returned to the front desk as instructed. I was given the option of which service I wanted to do first. I opted to start in the salt room, followed by sauna, and end with steam shower. The salt room was very relaxing. It's dimly lit and warm. There is soothing music playing. It was a nice way to start the day. The infrared sauna was also very nice. The sauna is located in a private room so when you book it you have it all to yourself. I didn't know there was a color therapy option on it though until the very end of the session but it was still enjoyable nonetheless. A pitcher of spa water was provided so I could hydrate during that part of the session. My one bit of constructive criticism, the floor of the sauna needs to be cleaned. It was very dusty and hairy. Next it was time for the steam shower. The front desk associate who I had been working with told me "All three knobs have to be on for it to work." Simple enough, or so I thought. I enter the steam shower, expecting just steam. There is a digital on/off switch which I hit. I see three knobs. There is no indicator of which is on or off though. So I turn them all and proceed to be blasted with cold water from every angle. I nearly hit the ceiling! I turned the knobs off as quickly as possible. The chamber began to fill with steam. Once that was figured out, it turned out to be a great experience. For $60, this was a great way to spend 3 hours. I left feeling invigorated. I am sure to return to The Spa at Traditions.

$11 Wash and cut every Wednesday. This isn't a high class salon, but it's great if you need a trim…read more I found the staff to be friendly and accommodating. My hair has stayed healthier with this Wednesday deal, and I've only had good experiences so far.

If I could rate it a zero I would. Very unprofessional. I took my mother there for mothers day…read more It was the first time she'd ever been to a salon, and was really excited/nervous. Her intention was to lighten her hair. After four different girls looking annoyed at the fact that they had to work tried to talk us out of it, we did it anyway. Their concern was the fact that it was damaging to the hair. I would also like to point out that I made an appointment for this three-days in advance. I spoke specifically to a the receptionist and had explained exactly what we would we doing, so my mind is boggled as to why there was shock amongst the people working. After four hours of processing with the bleach on and off my mothers head, the "colorist" was stummped as to why none of the color was lifting. By this time my mothers hair looked like straw, though we kind of expected this. The thing we didn't expect was that after all that, the color lifted in spots. After ten or so minutes of just staring at my mother wondering what to do, she finally asked someone who was sweeping up hair what she should do. The woman promptly advised her to try wrapping the hair in foil and heating it up. The woman never did this. Never even thought to do this. I could very well have done this for my mother myself, but being that there would be so many harsh chemicals I brought her to a "professional." Hell, as soon as the woman had been done slopping the bleach in and didn't foil her hair, I wondered what sort of magical chemical they used that didn't require heat, or foil. Six-hours after we walked in the place, we were walking out with my mother with random chucks of orance strewn about her hair. The woman had refused to wear gloves during the bleaching process, so while she was drying my mothers hair, her hands were on fire... Not only did my mother leave that place with half wet/frizzy/almost leopard-spotted hair, but I was out close to two-hundred dollars as well. I will never forget her face as she left the mall mortified at how she looked. I genuinely feel robbed, and the only thing worse than the fact that that woman had no idea what she was doing, was the fact that the man taking the money from us, who I'm assuming was the owner, actually looked taken aback at my mothers hair for an instant as we were paying... How can you take all that money from me, and look at our faces and not at least acknowledge the fact that all hell had broken loose on my mothers head? If you're looking for a place to get your hair done, go find yourself a professional! These people are the furthest thing from. F.Y.I - I believe the name of the glove-less wonder was Jody.
