Sadly... the tornado won. The acrylic removal began normally enough, until the technician started drilling my pinky nail with the enthusiasm of someone trying to dig for buried treasure. The drill got so hot I'm pretty sure I saw my ancestors. I very politely said, "Ow, that hurt." She very politely said, "I'll be gentler." And then she proceeded to drill like she was trying to start a campfire. Next came the shaping. I showed her a picture of what I wanted--simple, (trust see pics) cute, achievable. Twice she filed my nails, twice she asked, "Is this it?" and twice the answer was a solid, heartfelt, absolutely not. I explained it. I even used hand gestures. She looked at me with the calm serenity of someone who had chosen violence and ignoring instructions. But nothing prepared me for the manicure. Or should I say... "manicure." There was no warm bowl of sudsy water. No gentle soak. No heavenly lotion. No cuticle oil. Not even the traditional "let me pretend to massage your hands for five seconds." Instead, she did a quick file, a quick snip, and then asked--completely sincerely-- "Do you want a neck massage?" A neck massage. During a manicure. Ma'am, my hands were going through a crisis. The entire experience cost me $35, which feels appropriate only if the service included a surprise psychological plot twist--and in that case, wow, they delivered. In conclusion, the staff was friendly, but the service was like a comedy sketch no one warned me about. I left with confused nails, confused feelings, and a confused neck that did not, in fact, get a massage. I hope this review helps someone. And I hope someday my pinky nail forgives me.

So I was just standing there feeling awkward waiting for her to come in. When she did came into the room she looked at me and then the bed as said " aren't you here for a brazlilian" I said yes and she then told me to take my pants off and walked out. When she came back she quicked waxed me and by quicked I mean maybe 5 very large strips with a soft wax. When she was done she left a couple napkins on my kitty and said "these are for any spots that are stickey" and said I would have stubble because I had short hair. I did not have stubble I had hair where she simply did not wax. I had once before gone in for a wax and the lady was kinda enough to inform me as soon as she saw the lenghth of my hair that she could wax me if that was what I wanted but adviced me to come back in a week when my hair was longer to ensure better results. That was professional and curdiouse and I returned to her multiple times because of her kindness and honesty. This is why I know the lenght was not the problem. However if it was she should have said somthing before waxing. There was no twizing after and no after care just a small amount of oil. This was the worst brazlilian I have ever had. I will never come back and I would never suggest this place to anyone else. I paid and was booked for a full hr and although I have never had a brazilian last a full hour I am used to the full session taking about 45 mins. I was in and out of the building in less than 15 mins and that includes waiting in the sitting area for her to be ready for my session.

But I took a chance and booked an appointment with Sheena. I came half hour before my appointment and she took me in quick. She is very chill and laid back stylist. Her loft is nice and had country-vibes to it. She would tell me what she was going to do and I would ask an array of questions to understand the whole process. I had two balayage processes done before, so I was just curious why her methods were different. The bleaching process took 2.5 hours long and cutting and styling was roughly 30 minutes. She took her time, and did not rush. I highly recommend her! :)
