Maybe they're not an essential business, but I do get a kick out of watching birds at the feeder outside!

Today we took our dog in because the other place we've been taking him to was on vacation. We go to pick the dog up. His face is disgusting and he's not even trimmed. Then the rude chick claimed that's what we asked for and she can't cut. I explained no we thought he was getting trimmed that's the whole point. She continued to argue with me and tell me how wrong I was, so I ask for a manager. Then she comes at me? Instantly telling me it's our fault and he was clean and she saw him etc I said his face is disgusting and he's not even trimmed. no way did he know the dog wouldn't get trimmed. oh they aren't trained to trim just a bath and kept arguing with me ummm even if just a bath his face is disgusting. oh I saw it he was clean but if you want bring him back and we will charge you more to trim his face and give a new bath look at this photo! does he look clean to you? If you want your dog to be cared for by incompetent rude people that give you back a dirty dog and charging you almost 49 bucks, then go for it. This is my dog we just picked up from them. Does that look clean? Bc the other place that knows how to do their job always had him clean. I can't get over how rude and incompetent that place is.

It's very clean and has all sort of food and treat options for digs and cats. What I really liked was the vast choices and quantities of frozen raw food. A food type I feed my dogs as often as possible. The staff were exceptionally nice and the shop dog made me smile. She was very friendly and super interested in what I was buying. I left with a few new toys and some fish skins my dogs absolutely love. I don't live especially close to this business but if I did, I'd sure stop in to shop the raw foods. The only reason this isn't a five star review is the prices. I felt they were a tad high and designed to cater to affluent "all natural" types and that really is my tribe.

Everyone who works there is so friendly and greets us (well most importantly Calvin!) by name and with enthusiasm! Megan, Julia, Nicolette, Finn and Rowan all make Calvin feel like the most special, best boy in the world. Which he most definitely is so it is very nice of them to recognize!! They are also so knowledgeable and we have made great discoveries there. I trust that anything they carry is of the utmost quality and safety for my fur baby, and that gives me a lot of peace of mind. They are diligent in their research and quality checks. I love that they have so many local and small brands. They have a great education wall and such a great variety of products! Calvin always gets lots of treats in addition to all the love and they partner with other local businesses. So grateful that we discovered Hero's!

Dr. Georgiades and his coworkers are wonderful. We started seeing Dr. G about a year and a half ago. We were planning for a new puppy and our previous vet left a sour taste in our mouth. Our previous vet was a corporate style place with 4-5 vets and 10-12 techs. We always saw a different Dr. and our boy Bodhi was never himself while we were there. He wasn't happy to go to the vet. We looked around, before getting Sophia, trying to find a REAL honest to goodness vet, and someone who cares about animals. We asked friends and neighbors and the recurring theme was, Just for Paws. So we got the puppy and brought her and our older boy in and met Michael and his team. We were impressed. Michael is very intelligent and well educated and doesn't try to push drugs or food on you. His pricing and billing are fair and honest. For the level of service, bedside manner, love of animals and intelligence, I always found myself looking over the bill saying, "Are you sure that's the right amount?" I would have gladly paid more for everything. He runs a great practice and even calls his clients directly when the topic or issue needs direct contact. I would, without hesitation, recommend Dr. Michael Georgiades, and his team. You will be treated with respect, kindness and fairness. Dr. G is the best vet I have had the pleasure of meeting and our dogs told us all we needed to know. If your dogs aren't happy going to your current vet, go meet Michael with your dog/s and see what the dog/s tell you. Why did it take me over a year to write this review? Well, we're moving out of state and I'm saddened to think of trying to find a vet that could compare. We will miss Just for Paws.

I have had the worst experiences with Wardle's and just want to warn others…read more In June 2024, as a brand new chicken owners, I bought 3 Rhode Island Red hens from them. I was not able to go into the coop with the sales associate so he just went in, grabbed whatever three hens he could get and put them in my carrier. When I got home and took them out, I noticed one could barely walk. I tried to give her some rescue 911 electrolytes in her water and access to food thinking maybe getting scooped up and put in a box and then being in a car for 15 minutes was a stress on her nervous system and she just needed some time to acclimate. I called Wardle's to tell them what happened and asked if I could switch her for another hen. The manager told me no because she could be sick... even though that meant they had just sold me a sick chicken. She struggled for weeks. We had to keep her in a separate coop and spent countless dollars on a ton of different supplements trying to figure out what was wrong with her and to keep her alive. Finally we tried Vitamin B12 and after a few days of it in her water, she able to walk normally. Although she was always a pretty sickly chicken and not even a year later we found her dead in the coop one morning (no sign of attack or any injuries). Fast forward to September of 2025. We wanted to get a few chicks to raise and integrate with our flock. Against my better judgement, we went back to Wardle's to get chicks. They only had 4 week olds and again, we weren't allowed in the room where the brooders were to pick the ones we wanted so we just told the associate how many and which breeds. We got 3 gold laced Wyandottes, a Rhode Island Red and a Barred Rock. I looked in the box and noticed one of the hens had a pretty big comb. I asked if that was normal because we definitely didn't want a rooster. They assured me it was a hen. 3 months later, our "hen" has started crowing. We can't have roosters in Lakewood so now we have to find someone to take him or cull him. It breaks my heart. Of note, since then we have ordered chicks from McMurray and Meyer's Hatchery and had really healthy, beautiful, hens. Not a single rooster. I would highly recommend ordering from a hatchery over buying any chickens from Wardle's!
