I know its tourist season, but with all the coughing, hacking, sneezing going on, you would think someone would oversee that people are not putting their filthy paws inside packages. I passed a guy standing in produce pucking thru the grapes and eating them like a meal! I told the manager on the way out the door - not wanting to buy anything.. His response was.." happens everywhere you go". Really?? I dont see people makjng a meal out of hhe fruit at Publix! You know why? " Fresh " - don't think so. You have to really check the produce, last time, my husband did a quick stop, bought a few vegetables and the celery was literally rotting on the ends of the stalks. Had him return it all! Didn't really want to leave a review until tonight when he brought home the dessert special 3 for $12. I found Fresh Market on the advice of a friend who had lived in Marco for years. We moved to Naples 9 years ago and along with Trader Joe's have found this to be a favorite! The staff are always helpful. The store is jam packed with goodies from the U.S. and around the world. There is a beautiful Deli, fresh cooked and refrigerated items. An excellent Butcher Shop. If you don't see exactly what you want displayed in their huge cases of every meat and seafood, they will prep for you on the spot. I needed ground pork and took home 2 pounds freshly ground, just for me! What I don't hear in this store is customers voicing complaints. We are all telling each other how great the store is from its huge flower selection to olive bins, fresh fruits and veggies in colorful display! DON'T EVER....PURCHASE A GIFT CARD FOR FRESH MARKET......Their registers don't read the card and a manager has to come to key in the card number. Takes FOREVER!! Customers behind us get upset and OFTEN leave. I can't blame them.... This is our 5th card and the same problem. I live in the area and Just stopped in to pick up a few items. I usually shop at Whole Foods, but wanted to give this place a try. The food selection was amazing and they carry most of the brands that I like. Unfortunately, the staff was very rude and didn't even make eye contact or ask if you need help. Great Place for Years! Quality items. Friendly and knowledgeable staff! Cooked meals were great when time was short. Then DEI was implemented. The bread that was baked wasn't finished and the bottom had a quarter inch of flour still on it I had to scrape off. I could have made a 2nd loaf with what I salvaged haha. The girl behind the counter could only understand "pointing" and head nods... I had to give up trying to order... The guy next to her had little interest in helping till I walked away and she ran to him confused. I could call the company, but if they do actually remove the non-English speaking person in a position that requires you to speak English 8 hours a day, but they would only be replaced with another "same" person. I just returned from The Fresh Market that is located at 12628 Tamiami Trail in Naples. The cashier was Laura. I'm a member of the ultimate loyalty experience, and I purchased two Italian meat loaves that were listed on sale for $5.99 Upon looking at the receipt when I got home, the price I was charged was $7.99 I tried to call the store, but no one would answer the general number. This is not the first time this is happened where a customer from this store has been overcharged. It truly is caveat emptor with regard to this store. Whoever is the manager should be reprimanded for overcharging on sale items that are not entered into their register. I will go back tomorrow and see if anyone is available to correct their errors. read more

I just picked up the Prime Rib dinner for 2 for Thanksgiving. The meat portion was to weight 1.5 lbs. It even says it on the box the meal came in. When I opened it , I almost fell over. There is one, not even 1/2 inch slice, and 3 skinny narrow slices as if they got to the end of the beef they were carving and ran out, almost like a deli slice. I weighed the meat with my kitchen scale, it weights 3/4 of a pound. (Also weighed a pound of butter to make sure the scale is accurate, it is.) If they ran out of beef, they shouldn't have tried to pass this off as what the advertised. They should have canceled the order. Now, I have to scramble to find more protein before Thursday. I am not going back to the store and fight the mob again. I should have known. This is the second time they have ruined Thanksgiving for me. A few years ago, I purchased the turkey breast with Yukon potatoes and stuffing etc. When I opened it, the breast was what the use in the deli for slicing, tied in that tight netting, it took me for ever to get it off, the potatoes were regular white potatoes and the stuffing was the consistency of wet packed sand. I had to throw the whole thing out. My guests went home hungry. What an embarrassment. The manager gave me a gift certificate and tried to make it good but, it did not make my up for my lousy Thanksgiving. This year I thought I'd give them a second chance. Now my dinner is ruined again. Shame on me, burn me once, shame on you burn me twice, shame on me. By the way, I tried to fill out their on-line complaint form and it keeps blanking out. I will try again. If you should purchase a meal or dinner there, I suggest you open it in the store and check it out before you leave. read more

Came here hoping to find some selections of food choices. Options here are smaller compared to Whole Foods because this place is much smaller in size. Husband got two small containers for the olives bar which were about $10 for both. Had to wait over 10 minutes at the deli counter because the worker was more concerned about the receipt paper than assisting customers. The other worker was also overheard complaining about how nothing was going right today. Not professional in front of customers who are waiting to be served. Mind you this was on a Sunday around 4pm when it was not busy. Left with olives, turkey panini, sushi and vegetable rolls for about $35. We should have just got out to dinner instead, but lesson learned on this overpriced food. If you want to spend this much on a few items, you're better off making the trip to Whole Foods even though it's farther away. read more

We had the prime rib dinner for Thanksgiving. Went to the Tamiami Trail location off Park Shore. Food was wonderful. Prime rib is like butter. Flavorful mashed potatoes. One serving was enough for 2. But we get leftovers tonight & steak & eggs tomorrow morning. Easy to prepare, just heat & serve. Went to pick up Weds. No line. I was 30 minutes early. No problem. Took about 2 minutes. I have been shopping here every season for 5 years. Produce is fresh and plentiful but very expensive. Meat and cheese and wine excellent. Do NOT try their take out. It's actually inedible, obviously not made in store. Had the meatloaf, loaded cauliflower and Greek artichoke salad. The meatloaf must have been frozen a few times as it was waterlogged!!! Disgusting, I threw it in the garbage. Greek salad just ok as was the cauliflower. I do love the rotisserie chicken salad but they were out. The name of the is business is Fresh Market, so one would assume the food is fresh. I picked up a muffin this morning and once I opened it in my car I realized it was freezing cold! I went back into Fresh Market & handed it to the cashier. I told her it was clear it was frozen and then put out for purchase. I went back to the bakery where an employee told me the muffins come in frozen. Then she pointed to the croissants and turnovers and said they bake those fresh daily. I can not tell you how disappointing this store is. I also picked up a salad & a piece of what looked like grilled chicken breast. The salad was great but the chicken was rubbery , which tells me it too was cooked, frozen, defrosted & put out for sale. Ugghhh absolutely disgusting! read more

Awesome grocery store! So glad something like this finally opened in East Naples!! Throughout the store there's gentle classical music playing. Everything has a warm and inviting feel to it. Wicker baskets and plaid table cloths kinda stuff. Fruits and veggies are super fresh and HUGE! There's a decent deli section with tons of different pasta and potato salads. Fried chicken, whole roasted chicken, and almost 4 different kinds of chicken wings to choose from. You can order sandwiches or sushi. A dangerously large section of bakery goods. (ugh! not good for my diet...) Meat and fish counter people are extremely friendly. There's a candy bar just like in an old fashion candy store. Tons of interesting, different types of foods. The prices aren't the cheapest, but you kind of have to expect that with these types of grocery stores. They just opened around two weeks ago. The staff is still trying to figure things out, so expect it to be a little slow. They are extremely friendly though and are trying their best. This was our second time there now with the covid going on . So we waited our time in line for meat the woman that waited on us mellisa was very rude when we spoke to her she acted like we were not there . We were getting some chicken cutlets that really were just chicken breast cut in half they were so thick . so she started throwing them in a bag and who wants to freeze a lump of chicken ? so we kindly asked her to put them on a tray like other stores do , she still ignored us and did it not to happy at all . So they had really nice what looked like sirloin on a big tray behind the counter but loose the same thing looked fatty , so my mom was just like lets get out of here and said she would take four lbs of it , and she started putting it in a bag again .. i said wait stop we want the meet on the tray that looks good on the tray ??hello .. she said you cant have that it has no price on it .. I said i will wait , i waited this long , she said you cant have it . so i asked this nice brown girl can i have 4 packages of that i dont know what her problem is .. she said sure give me a min.. printed up 4 tickets and we were done ... Then we were walking around the way out of the meet section and with in 3 or 4 min they brought that tray out i said what .. So some of them were bigger more then a pound so some man was on the other side of this tall tray with chop meet and i leaned in and put mine back and got a larger package get this . He said to me get in line i said i was in line at the counter i want a larger package i put mine back for this one , and he did not believe me i guess and went to grab the meet , i told him get away from me . He would have been in a world of trouble if he touched me . so i headed up front and asked the girl to call the manager and after waiting about 10 min he finally shows up acting like i was not there i said to him are you the manager , so guy not shaven brown hair looked like he was 50ish told him what happened he never said he was sorry for what happened he was stupid he was not grasping the whole story because i dont think he was listening to me and my mom told him we would not be back and he said to her Thank You .... can you believe that telling you customer your happy they will not come back .. they need to fire that guy and get some better happy people in that store . We are all trying to deal with all this stuff right now and dont need people like that . They make the world a worse place . read more

The worst experience shopping so far. 4 days ago I ordered a pork roast to be ready December 24. Went to pick it up at the meat counter and was told to stand in a long line at the pick up counter. So far I have been standing in this ridiculously long line for almost 20 min. Still waiting!! Why wasn't I able to pick up at the meat counter?? Not a very pleasant experienced for a high end store. Shelves were fully stocked, employees were masked and pleasant and helpful. We came for take out dinners and everything we bought was fresh and delicious. Ok, I LOVE our new Fresh Market in that it gives our 2 local Publix stores some competition. The Collier/41 store and the Rattlesnake store are terrible, so I'm pretty happy FM opened. The Pros: -Fresh produce that doesn't go bad upon arriving home -Fruits are HUGE...what I remember fruit to look like as a kid -prices on par with Publix -meat is fresh and doesn't expire within a day of bringing it home. -LOVE all the nuts and candies. WOW -Bakery is so so. I'm cutting out sweets for a long time, but when I did eat their bakery food it was better than Pub but not awesome -Love the monthly tues. specials in the meat department -Deli is great since it provides nitrate free turkey -cheese assortments are amazing -Their roasted chicken is the same price as PUB and is SO MUCH BETTER! The lemon/rosemary is amazing. -Great for a lunch time stop..salad bar, deli, many different meals to choose from all ready to eat -Friendly staff The Cons: -Staff is very friendly, but tend to move slowly. I'm a city girl (chicago) and even though I've lived in Naples 13 years I just can't understand why people move so slowly down here LOL. -It's difficult to get their attention at the deli and butchers...they're working (putting things away, cutting, cooking) and they forget there may be customers sitting and waiting to be helped. A bell would be helpful??? -NO GRASS FED GROUND BEEF?????????????? In this day and age you'd think they get with the program?? They only have bison. BISON? -It's always SLOW checking out. I prefer putting my stuff on the counter and they ring it and bag it. It just takes too long to check out. But maybe I'm just majorly impatient? BOttom line, I prefer Fresh Market any day over Publix when it comes to meat, deli, butcher, fish...but your every day grocery items are too expensive there. I go to FM way more than PUB now...THANK GOD, but my favorite for produce and meat is Oak's Farm on Davis. I wish it were much closer. They have great produce, grass fed beef...all kinds, and fresh seafood. They get a 5 star as FM gets 4 stars and PUB would get 2 stars. read more

They are very clever at making things like Dinner To Go .. a weekly menu that often grabs the eye packaged at a discount to the full price of the items on the list. There is a menu at the deli .. pick a main course and side dishes to go. I also like the meat counter .. everything looks so much more appealing than its shrink wrapped cousin at the local Supermarket. I find the comment about not cutting a tenderloin to order a little surprising .. I was once asking about a roast, and was offered the half-piece that someone had cut off their roast. If I was inclined to buy a Tenderloin, I would and get the half cut, and the rest filleted for my freezer. When they are on sale, I may do it anyway! No, it's not a place to necessarily go for bargains but I like it fine. read more

Amazing customer service. I placed an on line order for the wrong store and when my husband arrived to pick it up they didn't have the order. The assistant manger Michelle came out to the car and talked to him. She was wonderfully understanding and cancelled the order with the other store and quickly put together what we had ordered. She couldn't have been any nicer. We are so impressed with not only the food but the great customer service. We love all the prepared foods and specials. Highly recommend! read more

check out lanes small, prices are a little high and there is always some bitter old person there scowling at me. But other than that the meat selection is amazing. The prepared food is to good not to eat and the overall feel of the place is warm. Cashiers are friendly helpful and some have a sense of humor and seem to be happy to help.
