Just discovered Trader Joe's in Naples, FL which is my now go-to store for delicious finds. Not only does Trader Joe's have an amazing selection but the prices are affordable. They also have a beautiful selection of fresh flowers. The only downfall I've noticed is the employees that are doing the complimentary tastings are not engaging with customers. There's no excitement with the products they are promoting. Overall, I enjoy my shopping experience. The cashiers are lovely and work very hard. read more

Trader Joe's it's been one of our favorite stores until we moved here ! Zero costumer service from the cashier no eye contact no greetings nothing . Totally different from all the stores we have been around the states . We used to feel welcome and here the energy is totally different. read more

Trader Joe's has always been a favorite store to shop at. The Fearless Flyer makes you want to go and scoop up bargains, while shopping here is easy and fun. Hubs used to go to the original Trader Joe's in Los Angles when he was a student, and the founder wore Hawaiian shirts and did lots of great deals to grow his business. That sure worked, almost everyone would like a TJ's close by to shop at. Luckily we have a store in Naples offering great deals and new products to try. Their fresh produce is often better than the grocery store and prices are better too. For a busy day, they have a good selection of frozen entrees for a quick dinner. Their juice and yogurt selections are delicious and I almost never miss the chance to grab a bag of their assorted coffees. The dogs are long time fans of Trader Joe's peanut butter dog treats and they have some of the best deals on wine that I've found. Both hubs and I use their personal care items, their moisturizers and hand cream are similar to higher priced products and hubs is a fan of their tea tree shampoo. They also have beautiful fresh flowers and plants with amazing prices. If there was a down side to Trader Joe's, it would be parking. On weekends things can get pretty crowded and being next door to a phone store doesn't help. Good location though, a prime shopping area right off Tamiami Trail and it's easy to find. This is a great place to shop, very consumer friendly. read more

Trader Joe's is known for their unique high end foodie products. Some of it is brilliant (Cookie Butter, anyone?) and some of it is just weird (think cheese puffs that taste a little like peanut butter with dark chocolate coated on one side - hmm-NO!). Despite the random items, it's always fun to shop here to see what cool combinations they will put together. It's also great for singles or couples who want to buy a few items for meals. It definitely doesn't cater to the family crowd with kids who are better served by a warehouse store where they can buy everything in bulk. Trader Joe's is more expensive than your local grocery store. I can't believe i paid $7 for milk. Those are Hawaii grocery store prices. Your local Publix will be cheaper. Trader joe's does offer organic for pretty much everything and you can feel pretty confident that the produce and farms they use are high quality. I rarely come to Trader Joe's because of the limited selection and price, but I do fancy shopping here for specialty items or to get out of a cooking rut. This particular store is crowded with retirees during the day, so you might be better off shopping here in the evening to avoid the crowds. read more

I love my Trader Joe's so while visiting the area we stopped here once for a pick me up shopping trip. The parking lot is small, so is the store, I suggest to come here later in the day, it is less crowded! Decent selection- I enjoy their dips, I even found a couple that they don't carry at my store (too bad), ice-creams, frozen food, wine selection, chips, desserts. I love my ethnic food and theirs is easy to prepare. Produce needs to be checked, not always fresh. Good service, nice visit, always a fun place to shop at! read more

This is one of my favorite Trader Joe's! They are all for the most part pretty much consistent but I like that this Trader Joe's doesn't have a ton of traffic coming in or out, at least when I go. The staff is really nice and I find that they always have some of my favorite items in stock. When my daughter was little we used to look for the Montee the manatee and when she did find it the staff would make a nice deal about it and give her tons of stickers. Always a great experience of grossing! I love Trader Joe's supermarkets from the first visit in California. And I was glad that there are stores in Naples as well! Always clean, well organised with amazing corporate culture and customer service. All staff members are very caring and energetic. But also the products are unique and fresh! I love buying fresh vegetables and fruits here, cheese, meat products and sometimes wine. There is also fresh flowers in Trader Joes all the time. Return policy works perfectly , if something happens or don't like the taste. And prices for most of the products are way lower than in other supermarkets. The only thing: be sure to have something warming on top (hoodie or a jacket) as it is always extremely cold in the store. If I recommend it - no doubt about it! read more

Founder Joe Coulombe opened the first Trader Joe's in 1967 in Pasadena, California. He is the Joe the chain is named for. He based his tropical theme off of the Tiki culture that was popular in the 50's and 60's. Since 1979 Trader Joe's has been owned by the German Albrecht family who also own Aldi's. I try to go to Trader Joe's every couple of weeks. I could never do all of my shopping there but there are a few products I always have to keep on hand like their 21 Seasoning Salute. I put it on all of my meat and vegetables. I am also a fan of their honey shrimp, pineapple juice, chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwiches, inexpensive flowers, chocolate croissants, seasonal candles, and prosciutto flatbread. A current obsession is the elote corn chips. I especially love to visit Trader Joe's for their seasonal products. Right now their Easter products are in and include cute house plants, gourmet jellybeans, and chocolate mousse eggs. They had a Danish Kringle made in Wisconsin that sounded amazing. Check their fun Fearless Flyer for all of the new products. A really cool thing about Trader Joes is that every store is themed to it's location. While they all basically look the same, the decorations and murals are unique to every store. This store is themed to Naples with a really nice Everglades scene with a panther, deer, and alligator. Count me in as TJ's fan. There aren't too many of them so when I run into one I have to stop and check out what is new. Today I got 1 product on the house because I was curious about the toasted sesame dressing. It took me by surprise. I always ask about how certain products sell and this time I got it on the house. 3 stars, bc I do love their food selections, as do my 2 teen sons. However, more than once, going in w my service dog- vest on, very well trained, so calm and immaculately behaved? Have had in the smaller, crowded store, pet dogs with their owners lunging, barking and growling at my SD. One who jumped on his rear and nipped at him as we passed by. Who has no idea he's big, and he's not sure what to do- just as if you, as a human? A dog does the same and bites at you? Went to the CS counter after checking out when that has happened. The response to my "those others here now are not service dogs"? How do you know they're not? Uh, can look at them- their demeanor and behavior. It's really easy to tell if a just a pet being brought along. *We have a sign; we aren't going to accuse our customers they aren't following it.*‍ Store employees after seeing incidents and apologizing, told me they aren't allowed by management to even ask, after seeing bad behavior "is that a service dog" They still have great products- my sons can drive so they go on their own now to get what we do from there. The laxity on ill-mannered pets being allowed? (I'm even fine w well-behaved, well-trained and socialized, mentally stable pets being places- even though is against the 'rules'- doesn't cause an issue w my SD, ever) Know this isn't a review that pertains to many, at all. And their customer base that is allowed to go in w pets is a much higher revenue stream, I'm sure... so they prefer that, to ones w true SDs. Today we decided to stop at Trader Joe's because we were out of doggie treats for Daisy and Cheyenne. When we arrived at the parking lot, the store looked very crowded. I wasn't going to enter, but then I saw that the staff was doing it in a very safe manner. Some were cleaning the carts, while another was letting people in as other customers were leaving. Everyone was masked. So you know that we were going to buy just a few things, but walked out $164.00 dollars later lol! The store wasn't crowded and we were able to do social distancing. Trader Joes's has such a great choice of organic fruit and vegetables, meats and cheeses and much, much more. Of course we bought all the doggie treats that were in the shelf! If you are overwhelmed by their new arrivals and unique items that were collected from all over the world, look out for their "Fearless Flyer". It gives great info on their new products with fun behind-the-scenes details. Some of our regular shopping list items are Peruvian corns, Japanese potatoes, cheese, and wine. Recently my wife and I shopped at Trader Joe's. We wanted to prepare for friends that evening and wanted to do something different. Since this was the first time shopping there we were not sure where some products were located. We asked an employee who was stocking shelves how to find the items we needed. That employee not only told us where the products were located but gave us additional information about products we might want to consider. We found the store well stocked, a great variety of products and all the staff we encountered helpful. We are looking forward to returning the next time we are in Naples. read more

Trader Joe's is one of my favorite market for grocery shopping. I remembered that we were here on their opening week few years back, there were two patrol cars with several sheriffs to direct traffic at the parking lot for weeks. One car in. One car out or direct you to park on the next overflowing parking lot! You frequently find some hard to find items here, awesome snacks and fresh flowers at reasonable price! Tonight, we are in the neighborhood. I have to pick up two red wine for next night's Italian dinner. I was told no "Two Buck Chuck." After staying away from Trader Joe's so long- due to their policy of trying to force non-mask wearers to shop with a cart with a RED FLAG on it....now they aren't doing this...I returned to shop and enjoyed my experience there. As long as they don't try to enforce that insane rule again I'll continue shopping there, but I will refuse to walk around shopping there feeling like I have a Scarlett Letter on my body! I like the quality of the food and it is at a great price. It really helps that they sample their food and always have coffee to try. They have an incredible return policy, if you don't like something they take it back no questions asked. The staff is always friendly and helpful and will call you when an item you are looking for comes in. Try the cauliflower rice and cauliflower pizza crust. Since I found the cauliflower rice is don't use rice anymore. Yummmm My only complaint is that they need one in Estero!! read more

I have been shopping regularly at Trader Joe's since they opened a store three blocks from my house on Queen Anne in Seattle. I am back in my hometown and it's clear this Naples store understands the Trader Joe's brand. We like many other have been financially devastated by all that has happened since 2009. So today as we were checking out and our card was NSF, we were horrified. We had just enough for groceries and a company had taken money out they weren't owed, so we had to put half our groceries back. After losing our 401ks and retirement, multiple layoffs over the last 14 years, being humiliated at the grocery store was more than we could bare. But that didn't happen. We had the good fortune to be in Kimberly's line. And to say she was an angel is an understatement. I broke down in tears and she was so generous and kind. She gave me a hug and let me know we aren't alone in this. Her manager was just as kind and discreet as they put back the groceries. She gave me a beautiful bouquet of flowers. I can't thank both of them enough. Times are weird and hard and we got a huge gift of love and kindness today from these women. Something money can't buy. Thank you to you both. To preface this review, I am pregnant and a coworker got me hooked on your almond butter covered almonds. I really wanted some before we left for our babymoon to FL and didn't get it. We're finally here, and as soon as I saw you had a location in Naples we drove a little out of the way to get some. Two helpful employees were very willing to help me find these. Ashley was working the register beside the express lane yesterday and she was so sweet and thoughtful about my pregnancy. It has been quite the experience and she made my day with these flowers! There is a reason people drove from Orlando and stood outside in line 530am for an 8am grand opening. You cannot beat these prices for healthy and fun foods. No middle man make this sticker shocker proof. Small grocery store but has everything I need from fresh fruit, sushi to Gluten free breads and cookies, frozen fast healthy meals, etc. (Yes, cookies is a need.) Known for their cheap but good wine at $2.99, people walk out with cases. Makes me wish I drank. But we make up for it by buying tons of Mochi, again cheapest prices anywhere, half what I paid at my local Asian market. Love the friendly staff and want to buy their T shirt uniforms! "Not for sale", I was told. Come, one and all, you will not be disappointed. My life is now complete! read more

FIGHT CLUB I stopped in after 8:00 in hopes that things would clear out after the grand opening on the 10th, no, not yet. The parking lot is the same as before (borders) but worse due to volume. This could be more efficient flow with diagonal parking. Although I was happy to go to TJ's. No arm baskets at the front entry just big clunky shopping carts. I ditched the cart near an end cap so I could hunt and gather as my prehistoric ancestors did in the jungle. Darting in and out amongst the product blockers. Some of the sloth like old farts used carts defensively some used them as rolling walkers. The store is trending towards larger locations, this was easier to get around inside compared to Milwaukee or Chicago TJ's. I agree about the warning about their machine made sushi don't try it you will only hate yourself and regret it later. I prefer the salsa or hummus. And stockyard oatmeal stout.(not available) funny thing they were not permitted to sell their own brand beer but they were able to sell their own wine and Fl. Micro brews? BTW two buck chuck is under $3.00 here. Plenty of people put a big dent into the wine display tonight. I was happy to find some of the things I was looking for, but I left without a bunch of stuff that means another return visit. Ugh. I still have not found what I was looking for TJ stockyard beer? The stocker said he would check and then said come again. Oh I will.. The store was busy enough to keep all cashiers busy. Supplies were running low at this time and boxes were left out on the floors. So the choices were stock or collect money and keep people moving and many of the displays were bare. I left some what unsatisfied, still happy that we have a TJ in town. It will take some time for the madness to settle down and become a regular TJ. I shopped Trader Joe's store #0762, Naples, Florida, this morning 02-027-21. Checked out at 10:38 on Till #2 - OP No.1222022 Trans.#9904. I used my debit card to pay for my $123.10 worth of groceries. When I returned home I logged into my bank account to check my shopping transactions. Trader Joe's debited my debit card twice. I called the store, explaining the situation and I was told " the only way to correct it is to come back into the store." I am a retailer and I questioned why he could not check the registers credit card terminal for a transaction report. He fed me BS saying all of the registers numbers go into one pile and it was impossible for him to figure it out. Just insane! I spent a half hour driving back to Trader Joe's & spoke with two guys at the customer service counter. One guy went to the register that I was rung up at, and he came back with the register receipt. He did not check the terminals credit card transaction reports. Ridiculousness! I knew that I was not rung up twice. It showed up on my debit card account. Honestly they have the worst customer service! I called my bank and the bank rep said I was charged twice. I have now filed a claim. Trader Joe's poor customer service has caused me extreme aggravation. My suggestion is to use cash when shopping at Trader Joe's. I still do not have my $123.10 back. read more

One of my favorite Trader Joe's location - nice and roomy on the inside, with plenty of checkout lanes, and lots of parking. If you are visiting a TJs to stock up on all your favorite 'name' brands - go elsewhere. Trader Joe's carries one or two of each type of item, and most of the time it is the Trader Joe's brand (wines being the exception -they have many different brands, including Trader Joe's). They even have a Trader Joe's sriracha! Although it has been a problem in the past at this location, this visit they actually had all the odds and ends personal pampering items I like to buy from them: enrich face lotion, soap, honey mango shave cream, hand lotion, coconut body butter, etc. Past visits they have always been out of one or two of those items. Also bought some of my favorite foods while I was there - red licorice, ginger cookies, pistachios, and spicy chai latte mix. I had no cooler with me, so that prevented me from stocking up on the frozen foods they make that I like so much. Final tip - great place to buy fresh flowers and/or plants - their selection is amazing, and the plants always do well. At least until our Tampa one opens, I'll be back. read more

First let me start with, I love Trader Joe's. We are recent transplants from NJ and were very spoiled by having a TJ's within walking distance. This location is 25 minutes by car from our new home and we make the trek at least once a week. The staff is friendly and helpful. Always a spot in the parking lot and the store shelves are fully stocked. What is not to love! If you have ever been to the store you are missing out on one of life's simple pleasures. Each item is more delicious than the next. There are terrific prepared foods, salads of all kinds, fresh veggies and fruit, great wine selection and so much more, don't forget the ice cream too! Trader Joe's is owned by the same company who owns Aldis. Don't expect Aldi pricing though. There is plenty of help here wandering around but not very diverse, as in the five visits here, I only seen one woman of color and one man of color. Naples and Collier County have strict service pets only in stores but Trader Joe's didn't get the memo, as two different times, two customers had dogs and they were picking out items. Getting hired is another sticking point, as they want you to be totally at their mercy for scheduling, even if only part time. Don't mention your religious affiliation either or if you have a disability, you are not getting. Cashiers have troiuble bagging, meaning balance a bag out well. read more

UPDATED REVIEW: The past few times I have visited Trader Joe's have been superb. Very friendly and helpful workers!! OLD REVIEW: I have always loved Trader Joe's, however ever since COVID-19 things have gotten ridiculous. Making old people wait out in the heat for 30+ minutes at times, just to enter the building etc. My mother in law and I went shopping together and the staff was all extremely rude to us. I am very unimpressed with their attitudes. It's impersonal enough with everyone wearing masks, you don't have to add to it with snarky comments. One of the workers today said he would help check us out. We shared a cart because we originally didn't have a lot on our list, by the end we had just about filled our cart and the worker said we should have gotten two shopping carts. We agreed, but explained that we didn't mean to get so much initially, he mentioned it two more times, how we should have gotten another cart. The only person bothered by this was him, and if he wanted us to get another cart so badly, he could have went and gotten us one ‍. Another lady barked at me and told me I was in the wrong line (20or less) I didn't realize, you don't have to be a b****! Several other instances like this, maybe teach your employees to be a bit more polite and welcoming? read more

For the small size of the store they basically have Everything that is needed for a complete grocery list. So many options of organic food, breads, dried fruits, frozen fruits. Fantastic prices. We do 90% of our shopping at Trader Joe's in Chicago and when my Dad called me up a few weeks ago to tell me one opened a mile from his FL house we were so excited. We were actually going to pack a bag of Trader Joe's food and now we didn't have to do it. I do not know if Florida gets this place but they will love it once they understand. Trader Joe's has kept me High Fructose free for over two years. Try doing that at Publix or Walmart. It is not going to happen. Trader Joe's is saving our lives with healthy affordable food...You could go to the Hyped Whole Foods down the street and pay 3x's what you would pay here! I also recently asked if there ground beef contained that Pink Slime and was told no. There plastic water bottles are BPA free. No High Fructose Corn Syrup in any Trader Joe's branded product. Plus they have many low sodium options. I only visit Naples once to twice a year but you have a loyal customer for life and if I ever retire down here maybe you will let me be the sample guy!!! read more

I've been waiting for TJ's to head south to Florida since I moved to Miami back in 2007. So, imagine my excitement when shortly after relocating to Fort Myers, I find out Naples is the soon-to-be-home of the very first TJ's in the state. Needless to say, I was there within 24 hours of the Grand Opening. But once inside... I remembered just HOW MUCH I love this store. Perhaps it's because they don't sell the famous two buck chuck in stores back home in Maryland... or maybe it's because I realized how deprived I've been of healthy, easily prepared foods for an affordable price... but somehow in my excitement, I had forgotten WHAT I was actually excited for! For people new to Trader Joe's... the lines will be longer than usual in these opening weeks, but trust me when I say it's worth it. I went during the Grand Opening weekend and found myself in line for about 20 minutes, but walked out of the store with more groceries (and ones I was actually excited about) for cheaper than my weekly trip to my local Publix or Sweet Bay. While I have yet to find a product I'm not fond of... I definitely have a few items I won't leave the store without. In addition to fresh foods and veggies... a few of those things are: refrigerated pasta (Bertolli-esque, but cheaper), an array of hummus/dips, chocolate desserts (can't go wrong with any of them), frozen seafood (better quality and cheaper than other chains), and their microwaveable meals. I've been trying to stay away from taking the easy way out since they're usually not the greatest for you, but Trader Joe's has some really great soups/ Lean Cuisine-esque meals that are satisfying and healthy. I won't lie... my mother has been mailing me the heavenly Pad Thai in a box since I moved to Florida. Now, I can get it myself! So... if your question is... "Is it REALLY as good as people say it is?" My answer is "No." It's much better. People don't line up for hours or travel across the state to get into your average grocery store...clearly this is something special.
