You can improve everything missing half the items that you should have the peanut butter machine was filthy and there was absolutely no cups to make peanut butter in. The produce market was tired many items missing. The hot foods were very sad. Many things missing. The coffee bar no samples. No sample cups. Machine not working. Prices have gone up. I don't have a problem with that with the appearance of the store and everything in it has gone way down and I am a free shopper. Whenever I visit this fresh market, I can honestly say they never fail to disappoint. I entered the store on Wednesday at 1 PM and there were about eight shoppers in the store. As I entered and looked for a shopping cart there was only one cart available for use in the pick up area. I went to the prepared foods counter and asked for 1 pound of orange chicken.The counterman showed me a medium sized container and said he can use this, but it might be less than a pound of the orange chicken. He managed to see that I bought less of the product than I desired. I then proceeded to their shelves with prepackaged soups available in many varieties. The bottom row of soups had the pricing for the products below each item not facing upward and about 4 inches above the floor. Unless I got down on one knee, I was not capable of reading any of the prices for the lowest shelf of these soups unfortunately at 81 years of age that is no longer an option for me. Even with very few people in the store, they managed to have too few checkout cashiers. Not a single employee ever makes voluntary eye contact with any customers. I could go on, but I am really not telling anybody information that they are not already aware of. read more

In general, the quality of the produce is superior to other stores in the area. The only thing that turns us off from shopping there weekly is the cost. When coming here, the meat and fish department is well stocked with fresh items. the deli staff is always friendly -however, when you look at the ingredients, of the items a lot of them are made with canola oil and unsuspecting low-grade ingredients which one would not suspect from a place with The name fresh market"- it's definitely misleading. However, there's a great global selection of healthy food options that you can't find elsewhere when it comes to the prepackaged third party food brands. Brands that focus on using cleaner ingredients and more bespoke allergen friendly brands that are less common in other places. There's also an incredible ice cream selection with a lot of clean ingredient brands, which are always exciting. So excited, the store is pretty empty compared to other places, so most days the checkout lines are pretty short and quick to get through. read more

I I will begin where I will end this comment. I truly hope the Delray fresh market appreciates their customer service manager, the first manager at that store to be smart and kind. I have been to the fresh market at Linton and federal in Delray Beach many times and the experience is not always terrific. I have had to complain in the past about lack of help at the deli counter and various sections being a mess making it harder to find what you need, BUT I had the best experience last night AND WANTED TO SHARE IT- I needed soup for my brother who is not feeling well and they were completely out of the hot soup - the guy behind the deli counter, didn't seem to really care just pointed to 2 hot, empty pots and didn't wanna come up with a solution... so I hunted down a manager-- the manager of customer service Jerome, I'm so glad I did. He restored my thinking that fresh market has hired people who actually care. Jerome was the most customer service oriented person I have met EVER at this particular store. Customer service is a combination of kindness and being smart and efficient for the customerscsake and Jerome was not just five stars but 10 stars. I love Fresh Market for special occasion cakes that are out of the ordinary from your standard buttercream and cake of other stores. This Chocolate cake certainly didn't disappoint! They also have excellent smaller desserts for two perfect for pairing for a date night in! Also amazing is are their Fig and Olive crisps. I'm in Delray Beach and a huge fan of TFM. I've been to many of their stores and when this one opened it was great. However over the last few years this location has gone downhill. I was in there last night and it's shocking to see shelves bare and so many products out of stock. Secondly, it smelled like dirty mop water. This store is extremely clean, well stocked and organized. Their are a lot of things I like about this place. The fresh sushi meals, the lunch specials and their speciality items including teas. A couple of cons I discovered here that strongly contributed to my lack of 5 stars. I have purchased some items that were not fresh. I simply took the back with my receipt and it was corrected. The over priced produce. And lack of customer service. I can not say all but the majority of the employees here are quite uninterested in helping you and make you wait a long time. For example, I needed something from the bakery and the girl made me wait while she finished decorating pies instead of getting the few pastries I needed from there. I shop here every Sunday morning early to skip the crowd. The coffee is hot & strong and the braided apple pastry warm & crispy. Best fresh apples in the city. Best grocery store in Delray Beach. Hands down. I've lived here for going on 10 years. I shop at all of them; Trader Joe's, Publix, Whole Foods, target... depending on what I need. But Fresh Market is always the most consistent - clean, organized, well stocked and great team members. A young man works there named Vickens and he is the nicest guy. I asked him if they carried horseradish sauce, and he proceeded to walk across the entire store to grab several different types. Walk them back to show me. We are big fans of the prepared food section - I recommend the lemon orzo and the tuna salad. The butcher shop is extremely accommodating. One of the specialists who is always there went back and hand carved a 6 pound standing rib, roast on my request and did a perfect job. Thank you Fresh Market Delray Team! read more

I go to this store every week and I went there earlier today and bought 8 items including steaks and shrimp and after the woman at checkout bagged my items I asked if that's everything then I got home 30 min away to find no steaks or shrimp. They didn't even apologize and acted like it was my fault. So I had to waste gas and drive 30 min to and 30 min back. They called me the meat guy and smirked. This market is clean Covid ready and staff exceptional! I love shopping here. The fruits and vegetables are presented beautifully and fresh. I am always helped promptly at the fish and meat counter and the butcher goes out of his way to give me exactly what I am looking for even though I sometimes can't express myself properly. The checkout young ladies are always cheerful and helpful and carry on a short conversation which I appreciate. Wish the bakery had sugar free goods. Love the rice free shushing products. I come here all the time. They have the best quality steaks and fish and the butcher is always very welcoming. The ready made meals are great, I really love the sandwiches. The have a great variety of products that other stores may not have. The prices are definitely higher here, but the produce is always very fresh. I'm not sure why this fresh market is rated mediocre, it may just be because of the high expectations in the area. We don't have a Fresh Market in Key West so I load up a cooler every time I come into town to bring back food. We don't have the best quality and everything is twice as expensive in the island, so I've learned to really appreciate this grocery store. read more

This brand new Fresh Market makes me feel bad for all the horrible things I have said about Fresh Market in the past. If you do not know, or have not read my review for the Boca location, I was never a Fresh Market fan. This new location may have converted me. I will start with a couple of cons: the parking lot was NOT built to accommodate the patrons. It is small and finding parking will be annoying on busy times (especially so for me on first week of opening). Secondly, the cashiers must be new and not transfers. Slow and not all knowledgeable of produce codes and certain store policies. With those little things aside, this store is beautiful! A nice little prepared foods case, a hefty sized meat section, lots of baked goods, fresh cheeses, bulk coffee beans, and a bulk candy/nut/seed area are all stocked with great finds. The produce section was also pretty impressive. The surprise for me is their dairy/beverage section in the back. I grabbed so many awesome yogurts, chia pods (yum!), and beverages that I had no idea existed. I will definitely return for snacks and prepared foods pretty regularly. So, Fresh Market, I apologize for the mean things I said to you. In all honesty, you seem to be the gem of The Fresh Market chain. Pleasant employees, a beautiful store, and products I have not seen anywhere else have made me both intrigued and wanting more. read more

I have mixed feelings about The Fresh Market as there are some pros and cons here. The store is basically like a mini version of Whole Foods but with the rustic set up like Cracker Barrel's country store or like the North's Wegmans grocery store. It is very clean, well set up and easy to navigate. The fresh produce area is well kept, however I had a hard time finding organic produce. Maybe I didn't see them, but mainly I found "conventional" produce with the state or country marked on the chalkboard above or below the shelf. The bakery seems to be an authentic one, not a fake one like Target's. The selection of desserts were very appealing. Like Cracker Barrel's Country Store candy sections and old-time candy shop, they have a very nice and large selection of candies and chocolates. They have the DIY fill a bag aisle of jellybeans and chocolate covered candies and such. As for coffee, I kind of expected a bit more, but they have barrels of whole coffee beans for you to also fill a bag or to have it freshly ground on the spot. The fresh meat and deli area is very clean and well presented. Beauty and care products are small in selection but mainly consisted of natural body care products. They have but one L shaped aisle of frozen foods which consisted of ice cream, gelato, some organic frozen dinners and pizza. Beverages were plenty with juice varieties, water, spritzers and very few of soda products. Beer and wine selections were common and well advertised with what would go with what. As for checking out, it was a bit odd as there is a wall of arches that dont really line up with the check out booths. And it really bothered me that the screen tallying up your purchases was on that wall on the far left while you use the credit card machine on the far right. I can imagine itd be hard to read the screen for most people that have vision problems and would have to ask the customer waiting in line behind them to move out of the way to read it up close. I personally don't like this set up as it basically shows the people behind you your purchases and total price. No. Overall, prices for everything is either a dollar or two more than what you'd normally find at Target, Publix, or the Boys Farmer Market. It definitely is Whole Foods kind of pricey. But the prices of alcohol is pretty much the same. Would I come back? Likely not, but if I ever need an unique product that is found at Whole Foods, I probably will come here instead. read more

I have been eagerly awaiting the opening of this store in Delray Beach. I went the day after the grand opening, which was yesterday, and it did not disappoint. What was once a dying strip mall has suddenly been revived....and it's twice as large as any Fresh Market I've ever been to, including both stores in Boca Raton and the Wellington location as well. Sure, it's pricey, but it's just oh so much fun to visit. Right now there are a lot of sales and buy one, get one free specials; I got two jars of gourmet tomato sauce, Stonewall kitchen jam, and frozen samosas with chutney all on sale. I also got a pint of my husband's favorite ice cream in the world, Jeni's. He loves the dark chocolate but I think the salty caramel and brambleberry crisp flavors are the best. Also picked up a bag of maple bacon Kettle chips, Virgil's rootbeer, a hunk of parmigiano reggiano, uncured bacon, pomegranate seltzer and a few other goodies. The bakery is seriously great; I picked up a freshly baked loaf of ciabatta. There are tons of cakes, cookies and various other sweets available as well. There are also lots of free samples being offered throughout the store right now; not sure if that will continue. Parking looks like it will be tight, and I must say it was so crowded inside I got a little aggravated. But they're open until 9 pm, so I think the crowd will be considerably thinner the later you go. And you should definitely go!! read more

1.00 a lemon is a bit pricey for organic. I have been to this Fresh Market a few times now. I figured that they would be a better alternative to the other place. I don't think I am going to go back. I wasn't really impressed the last time I was here. As I said I came here to purchase lemons for my drinking water. Publix lemons are green and yellow so I would like to think that the lemons at Fresh Market would be yellow and full of juice. Well, the regular price lemons were .89 EACH and the organic lemons were .99 EACH. Not much of a difference first of all. This place is where dreams come true. It's as if Wegmans had a baby, and its name was Fresh Market. Biggest organic selection I've seen, locally sourced goods throughout the store. Did I mention the a-mazing hummus, sourced from a local woman in Miami? Or have I touched on the poultry section with filet mignon skewers, fresh cut bacon and lamb? What about the aisle long candy section? Or the expansive craft beer and wine section? If you're on the hunt for a high-class bouquet, you can find it here, too. When it comes to the rare organic ingredients, this is where you can find them. As far as local grocery stores go, this is without a doubt the best I've seen in Delray Beach. The icing on the cake? Just returned from what will be my LAST shopping trip to this location. So tired of getting home with expired goods, produce that molds the day after purchased, and poor stock selection. I would think that a place that call itself th " FRESH " Market would do better than this. NOPE! I used to frequent the bakery several times a week mainly for the fresh baked cinnamon scones and the cheddar muffins. Now I struggle to find them. I've gone in the the morning, day, and evening and nothing. I've gone early week , mid week, weekends..nothing. What gives? When I inquire to the woman working in the bakery she has no words for me as to when they will be available. Really? When your out of something, GET IT! Should be first priority. Instead she then busys herself putting out more boxes of cookies when there are piles already out. Wtf? One day I went in got so excited, there were 4 cinnamon scones in the case for sale individually for 1.49 each. Ok, I'll ask her to box them into a box of four that sells for 4.99. Reasonable yes, since they had no more preboxed one available? Well no, I was told "oh we arent supposed to do that" Really? You aren't supposed to serve your customers? Ok then Bye ! I had a lot of family in town for my brothers wedding, and on this particular night I wanted to cook for everyone. I decided to go with fresh market for their added value of produce they sell. Being located at Linton and Federal HWY you have great options; Publix and Trader Joe's is across the street and both are also amazing, zero complaints. I also have zero complaints about what Fresh Market sells, I love what I get there and I will be back at a Fresh Market again soon. That day they were even out of a particular sandwich that and I like I told my dad I was going to get it for us for lunch. I asked a staff member and they offered to make me two new ones, no problem. I even checked in on yelp complimenting the situation because it was really cool of the two people to help out. I didn't know they would do that. I like taking photos, I take a lot of photos and I even post photos on a variety of platforms we all use as on a daily basis. While I was waiting for the sandwiches, I thought to myself to take two photos of Fresh Market to post to Google. I was by the dessert area so I took a photo of the display, turned around snapped a shot of the deli area. Immediately two men approach me who at first glance looked like the joke cast of the Movie "Twins" for short bus productions reprimanded me for taking the photos. "Who are you?, Who do you work for? You are not allowed to take photos in here. You have to delete those now." I was really taken back and I responded in disbelief "ummmm, ok guys is there a sign that says I can't take pics? Um, I'll delete these photos today fine but what's the problem?" The taller of the prik managers responded with a "Corporate." Me "Ok guy, whatever don't need to be assholes about the situatuon." Then they precede to tell me "Well if you don't like it, you could just leave then." Oh really, you want me to leave. "I have a cart full of food spending well over $100 & I'm waiting for 7a gentleman to finish making me two sandwiches." I just looked at them after saying that and literally walked away. I can not believe that managers of the corprate Fresh Market were trained to be such jerk offs. Those two guys are jokes, plenty of photos of Fresh Market are posted on Google and I haven't bothered to look on the yelp pics. Management is horrible to make customers feel as if they're criminals taking photos in 2017 in a public place with NO SIGNS that SAYS I CANT take pictures. We all take pictures everywhere bad day for that guy who knows, I wrote w anger here as well. Looking back they still suck in my opinion and it was uncalled for, moving on Fresh Market still says good products. I still paid for all my products and left. Loved this store at first. Now, always seem to get something that's off. Like the fresh guacamole was not marked extra spicy. I can't eat it. A hangar steak, not butchered properly.
