For MY 1000th Yelp review (haha)…read more... I was in the area for something (a Yelp event maybe?), I needed dinner before driving back home, and I happened to walk by The Feve so I decided to stop in. I visited in June 2025 on a weekday evening, with fellow Yelper, Olga N. We were told that this restaurant in Oberlin has been open for 30 years which is amazing. It must be a staple in the community. FOOD - I ordered the Avocado Bacon Burger with a side salad ($15.50) and I think my friend ordered the same burger. The burger tasted delicious. The burger was juicy and it was a very thick-cut of meat. The avocado wasn't too fresh and it looked like a paste. The bacon was crispy. The small side salad was good and typical of a regular salad, consisting of mixed greens, shaved carrots, and cucumbers. Tomatoes would have been a nice addition. I forgot what dressing the salad came with. PARKING - Street parking only. SERVICE -- friendly and efficient. I asked for warm lemon water and it was brought right up. It wasn't a busy night especially since my friend and I arrived a bit later (around 7:45pm ish). FYI -- There are 2 sections of the establishment - Downstairs closes at 10pm - Upstairs closes at midnight but food ordering ends at 11pm The Feve is a popular restaurant amongst the Oberlin community, including students from nearby Oberlin college. While those living in Cleveland may not know about this restaurant, I'm glad that I ventured in. Stop on in and support this local business. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 159/250 total reviews in 2026 - 1000 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 12 July 2026

I got the smokehouse chicken salad which was also very good especially if you get a side of their Carolina mustard bbq sauce. We also worded a side of Brussel sprouts, yummy. We pair dinner with the redhead ciderhouse blackberry shandy, it was a fabulous cider, one of our favorites now. Servers were very nice. This restaurant has live music and even special meal events that look like a lot of fun.

The Three Cheese Grilled Cheese had an insane cheese pull and was loaded with melty, delicious cheese. The tater tots were surprisingly flavorful, seasoned with a unique blend that definitely had onion and a hint of garlic, along with other spices I couldn't quite identify--but they were fantastic! The Mouthful definitely lives up to its name. It's huge, incredibly filling, and absolutely worth ordering if you're hungry. To top it all off, we tried the crème brûlée for the first time ever, and it was the perfect way to end the meal. It was delicious and made for an awesome first experience with the dessert. Overall, South Street Grill exceeded all expectations. It does get busy, which isn't surprising considering how good the food is, but it's easy to get to and well worth the wait. A MUST-TRY if you're in the area! We'll definitely be back!

Gyros are a family favorite and my daughter always gets the grilled chicken sandwich on croissant. The 4 stars is due to poor servers (not attentive or professional) and the restaurant seeming not as clean as it should be for a place they cook/serve food.

We parked around the corner on the street and upon arrival, we were told to seat ourselves. This place gives off diner vibes with friendly waitresses and older clientel. About 10 minutes later, our food was delivered. It was hot and looked tasty. My potato pancake was delicious and I dipped it in the yummy sour cream. My cod was delicious! So were the french fries! My wife liked her chicken sandwich and gave me what she couldn't eat. She also gave me some of her hash browns. Her dinner was also very tasty. This is a solid diner and we'll stop in again if we're ever in this area. Very good food, very good service.

The guy at the register was very helpful with the menu and suggestions. They were quick to make our food and we enjoyed it there. They make smashburger style meat for their burgers and it was nicely seasoned. The texture was on the dry side though. The buns and toppings were great. There fries were also very nice, crunchy, and spiced well. This is mostly a carry-out joint, but they have a couple of tables inside to eat at. Overall, nice place for lunch.

But whoever is grilling the burgers at the other location is who is keeping me coming back. Other than that, other location is farther from me, it's worth a drive. What I really like about this place is the fresh meat and the disclaimer about the meats and how it's prepare. Well, I didn't like this time around is at the meat lacked seasoning, and the meat did not have that crispy edge or the juiciness in comparison to the other location. Unfortunately, I will not be back to this location unless I'm really thirsty for a good burger. If this is your first time at this location, then yes it's delicious. It's one of the best burgers in Cleveland. If you visit the other location first you're definitely gonna be disappointed when you go to this one.
