Very upsetting. I gave my daughter a gift certificate for her birthday and she had an awful experience. The staff were extremely rude to her and did not give her the full amount that she should have. I received a wonderful opportunity to experience the Ramsey location last weekend. I was greeted by a great group of people and checked in seamlessly. Then the staff showed me the women's locker room, sauna, spa, and beverages. I had the best massage with a CBD add on. I felt relaxed and was able to feel my stress leave my body. Staff at check out desk very rude and had a hard time with my gift card, saying it had no balance and asking who bought it for ne.Facial aesthetician failed to inform me that the collogen mask she recommended was a $55 add on to my existing facial of $195. Amazing. Thankfully we were able to book 10am massages for 2 people the day before. There are plenty of other options such as facials, nails, pedi, different kinds of massages. We weren't able to enjoy other amenities though since they were all booked for a Saturday. The staff were friendly and guided us every step of the way. The whole place is a confusing maze; we'd have been lost without them. We were led to the lockers first. Shoes, robes, and towels, and a locker were given. The lounge has a free snack bar. We were led to the massage rooms and it was heavenly for 50 min. We're led back to the lounge until we were ready to head back. The bathrooms have showers and vanities full of amenities. 2 people for 2 massages estimated a little under $400 - pricey but a nice experience overall. Would recommend and come back. read more

Had a very nice experience here today with both the staff and clients. My Sis treated me to the 90 minute spa pedicure. This starts with choice of fabulous nail colors. You can upgrade to the fast drying enamels if you want for a fee. Followed bya relaxing soak, scrub , callus removal, 25 minutes of reflexology, and with a delightful Paraffin treatment finished under warm towels. I feel like I have the best painted toe nails ever! My pedicure was done by lovely Kelly. I will definitely return here again it was clean, sanitized and peaceful. The pedicures are done in a separate room from the nail salon. You are given a bottle of water and a couple of mints. A very comfortable massage chair and Zenful music. I totally recommend them! read more

My sister and I were never given notification of the increase of prices until the day of our services the guest service rep whispered quietly there has been a slight increase we looked okay our voucher it was a $40.00 increase each I was very disappointed that the price was not crossed honored for the price the service was booked for (several weeks in advance it was booked) from my understanding the team just found out themselves and were instructed to inform the clients when they arrived. I am not blaming the messenger however, this is something the management team should have reached out to the clients to inform them. On Monday I reached out twice to speak to a manager. I never heard back my name and number was taken down and I also left a voice mail. Lack of communication between management and clients is very disappointing a phone call back from the management team would have been nice and appreciated . read more

A great, clean spa in Bergen County that has plenty of spa and salon services! So far I have only gone for a facial and absolutely loved it. I told the woman I worked with that my skin is super sensitive and she made sure to be very gentle on my skin. I saw great results after I went! I was a little jealous of the people getting multiple treatments so I treated myself to a spa package with facial, massage and pedicure included a few weeks from now. My deep tissue massage was nothing but oil rubbed on me probably less than 15 minutes. The masseuse was nice but she did not do her job and I am extremely disappointed for $175. This is outrageous. The front staff is rude young and could not be bothered honestly The place needs to be updated and they are way overpriced for what they offer better off going to one of the Korean spas that really do real deep tissue. I have been trying to contact the manager for three days to get a refund or some type of credit because I am absolutely so disgusted and disappointed about being ripped off. read more

What an awesome pedicure! From the time I walked in to the time I left everyone was very friendly, even other customers. Not sure why others state that the front staff is rude, they weren't today! I had a gift certificate and decided to split it with my sister for her birthday. We did the 90 minute pedicure that was absolutely delightful. Your in this separate room that only has 4 chairs in it. Relaxing zen music playing. Valerie was my pedicurist. There was a wide selection of nail polishes to choose from. Valerie began the pedicure just like any other ones I have had, with cleaning the nails, trimming them, etc. I have a fungus big toe from trauma and she did a wonderful job on it! After the cleaning and trimming of the nails along with callous removal, she then did the foot scrub that felt so good. Then came the money! The massage! 25 minutes of reflexology. GLORIOUS!!! Then paraffin was put on under hot towels for 10 minutes! This felt so good! Cleaned up the nails a little more and applied the polish. It was such a nice relaxing, beautiful experience! Everything was very clean. They give you the buffer and emery board they used to take home or they toss it. I would definitely return and recommend to others! read more

I have been going to The Fountain Spa for years. Recently there has been a management change. My wonderful masseuse remains, but I won't be back. The management team is focused on profit at the expense of customer service. They called me, not to remind me of my appointment, but to tell me that the price had gone up. When I arrived this morning, the first words out of the mouth of the receptionist were asking me if I knew that the price had gone up. There have done away with the brochures that describe the treatments and told me to go to their website. While one is at the spa, it's nice to peruse a brochure. Here's hoping that things improve. read more

I have been getting services for many years. I booked a specific facial for each my daughter and myself...this was indicated on our ticket, along with the fact that I had booked the appointments. The esthetician recommended a completely different service to my daughter, for almost twice the expense, without consulting me! This is a bait and switch!! When I questioned this at checkout they said she was of age and had she had consented. Meanwhile, they never told her price disparity!! I asked to speak to a manager who was unavailable. I asked for a call, which I did not receive. I called the next day and late that day finally received a call back. Jovi offered me a small discount for a future service, which she never actually gave me. I also asked to speak with her boss and never received a follow up call. Very clean establishment. The spa has really thought about the details. This isn't just an in and out spa. Once you arrive for your appt.. you are greeted and provided with a robe and slippers. The changing rooms are clean. They provide towels, lockers, sauna, showers, hair shampoo, conditioners, body soap, and razors. In terms of the actual massage, it was okay. My masseuse was lovely! It just felt more like a good lathering of lotion than an actual massage. Maybe I reserved the wrong type of massage? And maybe I should have communicated more? If I could give this spa 0 stars I would. We went to get facials and had an awful experience with one of the technicians who was beyond rude, disrespectful and overall offensive. When reported to management, they informed us they would look into it. They took over 2 weeks to do so and after it all, did not compensate us in the slightest nor reprimand the employee. read more

My husband got me one of the spa packages for Christmas 2014. I only recently used it as I was pregnant at the time. The gift package included a 2 hour massage, an hour facial, spa lunch, and a manicure and pedicure. Which I upgraded to a gel mani. All of the staff that serviced me were wonderful and made the experience quite relaxing. I was literally there all day from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. I do, however understand how other people felt like they were at a 'massage factory.' Everyone deserves a day at the spa a few times a year. Some of the woman waiting for services seemed stuck up and caddy and I actually heard two of them discussing the fact I used an area in the dressing room to use my breast pump. What can I say. There's a market for a spa inside Riverside Square Mall near all the upscale shops you can want. Only came because I was hired a considerate amount to offer me whatever service I wished. I opted for a manicure times 4 and a pedicure times 2. I'm not big on massages so I cannot comment. I tried the fountain Spa for the first with my husband for our anniversary. The place is nice but not fancy. we had a couple message and used the whirlpool for 30 min, the message was good but not professional, and you pay for 1 hour but they just work on you for 45 or 50 min. At the desk, they asked for gratuity for the masseuse which is normal but what was weird and in my opinion ver unprofessional is asking what for gratuity to the girl who filled the whirlpool!! My husband and I tried so many spas and messages in different countries where some were very luxurious, so I can't consider the fountain as a luxurious spa but their prices are definitely over priced. read more

I received a gift of a massage and facial. My Swedish massage was great. My facial was horrible. Not only was it so fast, but Angelica said I think we will do hydrofacial. I did not think twice since I specified while booking g please book me for the items from my gift certificate. When my facial was done and I went fro t to leave a tip the cashier advised I also had a $50 balance from the facial. How deceiving. The nail tech, esthetician's and massage therapist are all amazing !!!!!!!! You can't go wrong with anyone. I have tried mostly everyone. Although, the customer service IS HORRIBLE . Spa director and her assistant (a nail tech) don't know anything about running a spa. I just tried this location for the first time today. Everyone at the frowas extremely kind and helpful. I saw Justyna for a wax and she was outstanding. She put me totally at ease, was quick, and did a great job. Highly recommend! July 2019: Angelica is must-try for waxing. She's so attentive to detail but somehow causes minimal pain (some kind of magic perhaps?). She's also very personable and sweet.
