I came here on a weekday 9pm to order take out. I find it interesting that the menu is so vast -…read morefrom greek food to spaghetti and pizzas, and then to an Indian section on the menu, and then goes on to a steak menu. Usually, when I see this, it means they are probably trying a bit of everything and nothing is really great. I ordered the chicken pita wrap, which came with rice, Greek salad, and tzatziki. The pita itself was very good, but it could have used some greens, as it was only chicken and some peppers. There was a sufficient amount of rice, but it was not good and lacked flavour. The Greek salad was OK and mediocre, definitely not the best I've tasted. (Keep in mind that this is a small town and I'm relatively spoiled by living in Vancouver with a bigger food scene). The price was also pretty steep - $23 for the pita wrap. Take out service was good, nice and friendly. Overall, experience leans towards underwhelming, though I would come back here to try something else on the menu.

Having adventured in a few new places in Campbell River we wanted something that we were familiar…read morewith, so we walked to Moxie's from our hotel 800 meters away. Yelp maps said it was more than 2 kilometres away, so not sure what happened there. Moxies did not disappoint, and our server Shaye was absolutely excellent. Outgoing, friendly and very good at what she did. Even took the time to make sure K's veggies were cooked on the more well done side that she prefers. Kudos to the kitchen also, for making it happen, small details matter. Her steak was cooked perfectly, and the mashed potatoes very nice. My Beet salad was very well made although I prefer my beets to be a little more al dente. The blackened chicken was good, if perhaps a little over. I believe they use a seasoned breast, which is not my favourite. Our beverages were nicely made, that said wine is difficult to mess up, but a good martini is not easy. The decor is typical Moxies, they are all pretty much the same. That said familiarity is often comforting, and we certainly felt that way. We will be back for sure.

Served with baby zucchini, roasted heirloom carrots. The Cobb salad was very different than any Cobb I have had before. It was an iceberg head halved wedge style topped with whole slices of bacon, croutons, heirloom tomatoes, feta, avocados, capers, hard boiled egg halves with an interesting yolk filling, a tasty white sauce with a slab of grilled salmon on top. It was a very nice change. Dined in a spacious lounge off set from the crowded main room suggested by the host. Service was 5 star and it was excellent way to spend lunch.

Not only did we seat ourselves but then we had to hunt a server down for menus after waiting for about 10 minutes. Seriously understaffed with only 3 people covering a packed place. Ordered the Saturday special NY steak which was fine and a few happy hour items: old bay kettle chips, loaded fries, and Nashville chicken which was a touch over fried as the skin was black but cooked inside (usually meaning it was previously frozen). Finished it off with an apple pie pastry dessert which was the highlight of the meal. Flagging someone down for payment also proved to be a challenge. Not my best impression of Match when compared to my local Langley location.
