The bartender , Colin, was super nice and made us feel super comfortable. We had fast service and…read moreit felt super welcoming. The place has pool tables , duck claw machine, pull tabs and a stage . The one thing I didn't like was how dark it is but I think it adds to the atmosphere they have at outtakes . I love rubber ducks. The machine was super easy. $1 each turn and after $5 I got 2 ducks total. The bartender was nice and donated me $2 to win my second duck. Super nice of him. We weren't super hungry so opted for just apps. The prices on this menu is incredibly affordable. You can get a burger with the fries for $13, that is not the same price you get at any other sports bar I've been to. The apps we got were the jalapeño popper and the sloppy tots. Both came out quickly and were super yummy. We finished everything and they were generous portions . Just also wanted to share that there a Pokestop right there so if you were looking to play Pokémon go its a good spot.

Don't sleep on Outtakes' food!! I can vouch for the cheese curds, burgers, salads and dry rub…read moreboneless wings... All 10x better than most bars! They also have my favorite ranch in the twin cities hahaha. And the prices are VERY reasonable. My partner and I split 6 few beers and a few apps and it was under $50! The staff are sooo friendly too. The vibe can be a little weird at times, and I hate that they charge a cover on Saturdays (due to live music), but otherwise it's a solid place to eat or watch sports!

I went to a show here with some trepidation after reading the reviews. I was particularly worried…read moreabout the sound quality, especially after reading complaint after complaint. I dunno, maybe I'm deaf (highly possible) but sound wasn't an issue for me. I wondered too if the band we were seeing maybe brought some gear because I really didn't have issues with the sound quality. Moving on... we had a good time really.. Mill City Nights isn't going to be the fanciest, nicest venue you've ever been to for a show. It also isn't going to be all historic like First Avenue. But it is a totally fine place to hang out in the dark and listen to some music. I did really dig the hard wood floor, which was worn in the best possible way. Fun for stomping around as you were dancing. We found the security procedure at the front door to be fine -- Carded us, patted us down not very thoroughly, took a peek into my purse and that was about it. The ticket buying procedure could have been better. Seemed to take a long time. But once we were in the door, no issues. I found the bar staff to be friendly and competent. Security seemed a little intense at times (like, who's going to jump the stage during the set break really?) But whatever. I didn't have to go to the restroom, so can't comment there. Since we were downstairs, I also can't comment on the balcony situation, except to say that whoever spilled a beer on my head sucks. Is it my favorite venue in the Twin Cities? No way. Would I go back if the right band was playing? Sure.

This was not the best venue for a concert…read more 1. It was extremely hot with all the bodies crammed in there. 2. It was difficult to see with the odd long retangular shape of the room, even with the stage being raised. 3. The sound and acoustics are bad. Not sure why but the sound needs improvement. 4. There are large pilars throughout the main floor, so if you are far back towards the bar, good luck trying to see any part of the show. The one good thing was there were multiple, easily accessible bars and clean bathrooms downstairs.

Attended a birthday brunch celebration at this venue that was catered by Brunch Vibez. The group…read morewas scheduled for 25 people at 12pm and the seating was not set up upon arrival. They had the wrong time down but were able to fix the seating situation fairly quickly. Service seemed a little slow, but they were quite busy and still in the process of decorating/setting up for Halloween. The playlist was a hit, but the music would cut in and out or stop entirely which messed up the vibe. They usually take orders ahead online or you can order when you arrive. A few people from our group ordered with the server and I got my food first. Not only was my food kind of cold, other folks didn't get their meal for over 20 mins. I also found it odd that all the people who were seated and ready received their food last and the other folks who ordered ahead of time but weren't present for their food brought out. The food basically sat on the table for an hour with napkins over it. I'd rate the food about a 4/10. The steaks were made to order and the fish, but I'd recommend working more on their timing so the food comes out hot and fresh. They gave my dad a good waffle from someone else's order that had been sitting on the table for an hour. It was rock solid and cold. The drinks are expensive and not worth the price to me. I think this is a good place to check out if you want to hear some good music and maybe have a mimosa. If you order food, I'd recommend ordering in person and ordering things that need to be prepared fresh.

Plenty to like about this place. It's a cute spot inside a neat old building right next to Target…read moreField. We came here to see a jazz band performing on their little stage by the window, and that was a very cool experience. They had open-mic comedy on that stage afterward which I wasn't there for, but if you like that scene this is a nice place for it. They have a modest food menu with good prices. I ordered & paid for a jalapeno cheese dog, but was later informed that they were out of those. They offered me one of their one-dollar-cheaper dogs, which was fine, except that they didn't even reimburse me for the extra dollar I paid. I reckon I should have said something, but that's not the point. Little mistake but the guys behind the bar were still very friendly and I like this place. I'll return for sure.

This bar has a very neighborhood feel; I got the impression many of the patrons knew each other,…read moreand all ages (over 21) were represented. I was probably lucky to get a spot in the parking lot on a busy Saturday. It is a bit divey, but the bathrooms were clean. I was there for one of the post-spelling bee bands, so it was too late to try the pizza, and I was driving so I limited myself to ginger ale. One free refill for designated drivers is nice. For future reference, I noticed they had some unique cocktails and lots of THC gummy brands to choose from. I don't smoke and November isn't the greatest time to be on the patio, but I did make a trip to get off my feet for a bit and they had a firepit going. It's true there is no cover, but the night I was there, they had a Band Tip pitcher. I wish I'd had more cash with me. Sound was decent considering the small narrow room; I was still able to get video that I felt OK posting on YouTube. I was there for the last band, FenixDion, and though I at times felt people were more into drinking than listening, it stayed pretty full until the end, and we even got an encore!
