The Fillmore is one venue that will vary wildly depending on the night, but when the artist is good it is great. Located just steps away from the light rail in North Loop, The Fillmore is one of the newer Livenation venues that has 2 floors, a box office just outside, and expensive drinks. Note that if there's a show you want to go to, buying at the box office is cheaper than online with Ticketmaster. Saved $10 with a Troyboi ticket that way. Also as I said, the Filmore has some of the most expensive drinks in Minneapolis for no damn reason. $23+ for a mixed drink is a robbery. The sound is okay but not amazing, I think other venues actually have better sound especially since the layout of the building doesn't let the bass reverberate well. Overall it's an okay venue but I feel like it's potential was kneecapped by these issues. read more

Centrally located to downtown & pretty much has its own stop on the metro. It's right next to the MLB Twins stadium. I never felt unsafe. Security was cool & moved the line quickly. The floor GA area is 100% flat, so if you are short like me & want to see anything - you'll need to get there early & be aggressive to not let people push past you. The only higher seats are up in the small balcony & I think you have to pay extra to get up there. The tix prices were reasonable. They offered hard alcohol & even a nice selection of THC drinks, if you are into that sort of thing. The opener: Speed of Light - was really great. The Warning brought down the house, nice to see young ladies that know how to rock. Sound was good. read more

Went to the Fillmore last night for a private event. What a great venue! It has an upper level that wraps all the way around, a nice sized stage, and flexible space. The staff was all very friendly and the decor had some nice touches like the huge chandelier. The acoustics were good too. Nice spot to host or attend an event. read more

This is a great venue for music. I went to a show with friends, day of, and were able to buy our tix at the box office which I appreciate. Online fees are ridiculous and if a venue offers a way for you to get tix where you don't have to pay ($12+ in this instance), I'm in. The venue itself is beautiful. The chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, Great sightlines from the floor, sides and even a small seating area, looking across the floor and right at the stage. All of this combined, really makes this a fantastic venue. But the price gouging for drinks and ticket fees knock this back a star. Tip: The box office is easy! You can even quickly run in if you park with the hotel check-in roundabout drop off (leave someone in the car just in case), while you won't get a paper ticket like you do when you do this with First Avenue venue events - please offer this), you do get a text or it goes to the app and boom, there is your ticket. You just need to make sure the office is open. When it is, you can even buy tix for future shows. Extra cost? $2.50. I'll take that every day and plus it gets my butt down to the North Loop to do something else. Win. Win. read more

Minneapolis often doesn't appreciate what it's got. Even as old people, we found the Fillmore a great venue for a concert. Admittedly, a Buena Vista Orchestra performance may not attract a challenging audience. The lounge upstairs was comfortable for pre-concert cocktails, and the staff hustled their rear ends off. I did find our seats slightly too close to the stage due to its height, but I'm short. Besides that, the acoustics were great and the seats were comfortable. I've been to the Fillmore for a handful of shows and it's always been a great experience. I appreciate the extra security measures they have in place along with the opportunity to bring in a non clear bag. The drinks are a bit on the expensive side but what concert venue isn't? There are plenty of places nearby to pregame anyway. There are lots of parking ramps and paid off street parking within walking distance. The sound quality is great. There is usually standing room generadmission on the floor and premium seating upstairs on the balcony. read more

I hadn't been to the Fillmore but last night was my first show at the venue. And I was seriously impressed! The venue is really gorgeous on the inside. Clean, easy to navigate, great space. Anywhere you stand you'll feel close to the stage. And the sound is AWESOME, unlike some other venues (venue) in the Twin Cities...(cough cough iykyk). Inside the main area, there are these really cool and large chandeliers that hang from the ceiling and that look so cool with all the lights going. The staff here is also awesome. There were a few seemingly medical issues during the show and they were extremely quick with getting to the person and providing them aid. ALSO: huge perk, they give out FREE WATER. I truly believe all concert venues should do this, so I'm glad the Fillmore took it upon themselves to do so. They had water jugs and cups at the bar that you could self-pour. Things to know about me: I am a music fan, I am a live music fan, I don't like sitting down when listening to music. That being said I am learning to appriciate that at some point in the not too distant future I might want to sit down at a show. The Filmore has both options. Seating for those that need it and can $ foot the bill and standing room for everyone else. the bar was close and the bar tenders attentive. the drinks were a little spendy but I did get a comemorative shaker out of the deal. So close to the Target field, it's easy to use my typical Twins Game Routine to get to the Fillmore. Ramps are easily accessible within walking distance. I wouldn't suggest side street parking unless you're a seasoned pro. It's a great neighborhood to find a bite or drinks beforehand. There is an easy and fast bag search as you enter. The staff were very friendly and were on top of their game. The venue itself is beautiful with chandeliers in a modern and fun space. There's really not a bad seat in the house because of its small setting. It's standing room only so you can mosey how you wish. You can call ahead if you require seats. They have many photo opportunities. The lighting is on point. I hope to return and see some more live shows. read more

I was at the Fillmore for Royal Blood. I was happy to discover the extra GA space upstairs. If I don't try for the barrier, my usual strategy it to hang out near the sound desk, but that was ruined by lots of tall guys in front of me. Upstairs I could see better though my phone didn't record sound very well from that angle, it was fine for my ears. I was driving and planned to go out for food later, so I didn't have any food or drink. One of my friends got a $26 margarita! She liked it but thought the price was inflated. Bathrooms were very nice and clean on both levels. I would certainly go back if another favorite band is playing here. read more

Saw Stephen Lynch concert on 12/6/25. The most uncomfortable seating I've ever been in (and I've sat in 19th century London theaters). They had folding chairs with rows so close it should be illegal. A guy's knees were in my kidneys the whole show. Shoulders touching, rivaling the worst airplane seat. You couldn't walk past people in a row without everyone else having to get out. Don't go to a show here. Parking is $25, drinks are expensive, and you will be miserably uncomfortable. read more

I came here for the Taylor Swift party on a Saturday night. Getting to the venue was relatively easy-there's a gas station close by if you need a place to be dropped off/picked up that isn't the venue. Getting into the Fillmore was quick and efficient, which I appreciated. The space is intimate and smaller, but not too crowded. There are some funky chandeliers which makes for a fun atmosphere. There were two bars and the bathrooms outside the main area was easy to get to. I would definitely consider attending another event or show here. read more

Recently went to my first show here and really liked the venue! It's on the smaller size compared to some others in the area, but it works! Fine space, but outrageously expensive drinks and long lines that seem like they could be avoided. I tried to order a Manhattan, but they don't carry vermouth, so they offered just bourbon. I asked for a splash of ginger ale to cut it, which the bartender did. The price list on the wall said "spirits start at $13." My bourbon with splash of soda was $29.78. Not normal pricing for a non-fancy drink in Minneapolis, even at a show. At the end of the show, they closed the upstairs restrooms, so everyone had to use the downstairs bathroom, leading to (unsurprisingly) long lines. Just an annoying experience. read more

If you haven't been to the Fillmore yet for a concert, it's a must do. It's a small venue and really contains the music well and laid out to serve drinks and get to the bathroom easily. I've been here about 10 times and have never been let down. There are many restaurants/bars within walking distance and parking ramp within a block or two. Prices for tickets are affordable for floor and I plan to do balcony at an upcoming show to check that out. Prices for alcohol are still pretty high, but normal for events. read more

This venue manages to maintain its historical roots while feeling new and updated. The sound quality was great. Just for those reasons we would go back, but the service is why im reviewing them. The service was unmatched. We connected with ADA services prior to the event and were more than pleased with the support then we get to the venue and are truly blown away. I believe we interacted with Sophie, her assistance, kindness, and care was beyond anything we could have expected. My entire group is incredibly grateful. read more

BEAUTIFUL VENUE! We are so excited that it has opened up in the North Loop Neighborhood. We went to a concert on a week night and were stunned by the decor and acoustics in the inside of the Fillmore. The upstairs bar is a great idea/addition/bonus if you want to get away from your seat or hang out for a bit. The general admission area downstairs is set up so well - 2-3 bars, open enough area so you aren't crammed, and TVs all around for viewing purposes if your view is blocked. Bathrooms are easy to navigate and getting in and out of the venue is easy. The security at the beginning is a little slowish but they do their best to move people through. General admission line does run outside pending when you get there and we noticed there were so many cigarette butts outside by where the line was - I hope they find a way to help people dispose of them properly or at least get in the habit of picking them up after shows - it was pretty bad for the North Loop. Prices are pretty steep but for a nice venue they can get away with it. I.e. $10 for a Fulton when you can walk down the street and get it for $5. Tall boy truly and beers available and a wide variety of brands. Acoustics are amazing and we can't wait to get to another concert here! read more

Preposterously priced drinks, rude staff, weak sound system. This venue oversells concerts to the point that you can't even move. Rail cocktails cost over $20. Security is so slow we arrived early and still waited over 40 minutes with 5 degree temperature outside. I could go on. Avoid this place!! read more

I think the Fillmore is a great venue. It's just the right size for you to enjoy from all angles and not get overwhelmed. I love that there's free cups of water and there's still space to move around a little. The ventilation in this place is great as well. I've come here twice now and this place is definitely underrated. The stage is big enough for detailed set designs and small enough to feel intimate. The service is also really good. read more

Last night was my first night at The Fillmore, and this is the worst venue I've ever been to. It literally has the worst aspects I've ever encountered at a venue, all at once and all in one place, and then turned up to the max, and the worst part is these are all active decisions made by the venue ownership. I can only wish I never have to be a "guest" in this utterly terrible venue again. Here's a list of gripes, off the top of my head: 1) 70-80% of the upper level is premium seating that is not open to the public, including essentially the inner ring of the upper level, meaning you have to pay even more on already overpriced Ticketmaster tickets to sit there. Tonight at this sold out show the inner ring is about 80% empty. Further, with somebody on staff policing every one of these "premium" zones (3-4 of them?) the venue is clearly investing more effort and staff into milking another dollar from the guests than they are in providing a reasonable experience for their guests. 2) A soda water is $6, I can't imagine how much folks are paying for booze here. 3) The shakedown by security upon entry is worse than the worst TSA experience I've ever had. The dude frisked my crotch and put his fucking fingers under my bracelet and watch band. 4) There are MPD officers hired to stand out in front of the venue, and of course they can't do that without parking their MPD cruisers on the sidewalk. The MPD are not somebody I would willingly trust to be around a group of people without presenting a threat to the safety of that group of people. 5) The sound is terrible. It's gotten slightly better since I've been here, now 30 minutes into the opener's set, but it still sounds like trash, which is very surprising given that this is a brand new venue specifically designed and built to be a venue. 6) There's no smoking patio and there's re-entry, once you're in here you're stuck. 7) They don't take cash at the bar. 8) They won't let you bring a backpack into the venue, like I can't even bring one and have it coat-checked. If I were to come here with any frequency I'd generally be trying to arrive by bike, which means I'd have a backpack with. read more

My significant other and I recently attended the Russell Dickerson concert at the Fillmore and had a wonderful time. It is quaint enough that there's not a "bad seat in the house," while being spacious enough that everyone can move about without feeling restricted. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had a main concern that bugged us, the venue was 100% cashless (unless you were tipping or buying from a merch table). We love using cash, even if it's to buy an $18 (lightly poured, bottom shelf) rum and coke. Just annoying. read more

I received an extremely unfair treatment at Lil Yatchy's concert on Nov 2nd, 2023. So, I was upgraded to the balcony for lil yachty's concert. And I found out that the person who's sitting next to me is a celebrity during the concert. So, I tried to ASK him for a picture however the security stopped me and told me I can't do that, which I'm fine with it. What happens next is what bothers me. I went to verify with another staff about if what the security told me is actually true because the music was extremely loud( you know it) also I was in a public area. I can state responsibly and unequivocally that my actions at the time were simply to confirm with another staff member the truth of security's words, nothing more. But the security who stopped me at first time kicked me out just because he saw me do that. And he was very rude when he PULLED ME OUT and pulled off my wristband（Even though I told him to go easy because my wrist was injured, he still pulled as hard as he could like he didn't hear anything .)WITHOUT ANY ASKING OR EXPLAINING. I promise I'm not exaggerating in any way. So I wrote them emails want to know that what's wrong with making sure what he said was the truth but they never replied. It's very spacious and fancy. I came here tonight with boyfriend for a VIP Preview Party. It's 22,000 sq ft. It is the newest and the best concert venue in North Loop next to Target Field and only 1.5 miles from the convention center. It has VIP lounge and state-of-the-art lighting and sound. It is very spacious and can hold 1,850 guests.It was a very fun event tonight! Can't wait to go back! read more

I finally got to visit the Fillmore on Saturday to see Franz Ferdinand. I contacted the venue beforehand for ADA seating, and they replied immediately and said they'd set aside chairs for me and my +1. When we arrived, the ID-checking and security process was quick and easy, and staff escorted me to the ADA section. The view was fantastic and it was so wonderful to enjoy the show without having to worry about my pain levels from standing for a long time. The venue is clean and classy, staff is so friendly and welcoming, the sound is fantastic, the location is great...it was just a wonderful experience all-around. I've attended many concerts and by far this is the worst venue I have ever been too. I don't mean when it comes to the looks, but how rude the staff is. Not only this, but the lack of detail of event schedule changes and had a ticket that apparently "could not scan" so we were sent to the box office. We were supposed to be able to be in the front row area and claim seats before general admission, but going to the box office and trying to figure this out gave us an average view, when we paid $200 more than those around us. I never want to attend here again. Not only this, but the staff told us we couldn't attend the meet and greet when it said early arrival was by 4. We had to go through the regular line again and security even though we had VIP admission because apparently "it was closed" but we were there before it closed we just were sent to the box office. When I went to get a wristband, they made me go through the line again even though I was told I could get one inside after that whole process. Once I asked for one the employee, the same one that said VIP entrance was over with and made us go through a regular line, said "why didn't you get one at the first time?" In a hostile manner. If you want to be harassed by staff, go here. They also aren't very clear on their policies and do not send updates within Ticketmaster if a schedule change occurs, so you will end up wasting money. Lastly, the bathrooms are very uncleanly, I have never seen a public bathroom so nasty. read more

I went here for a concert. The doors were scheduled to open at 6:30 but they pushed it back to 7:00. The line to get into the building was about half a mile long and wrapped around a parking garage. Only about 80% of the people got into the building before the show started at 8:00. The floor was overcrowded and difficult for shorter people to see the stage. The bar and merch table had no line management and looked way too chaotic. I was not impressed by the acoustics, especially on the sides. read more

WORST SERVICE/UNETHICAL SALES/NO FAN APPRECIATION: Worst service and team and customer relations I've ever experienced for a concert. EXTREMELY UNETHICAL SALES for Tate McRae concert. We got to the venue 3 hours early and waited in line and people who got their hours after us were given the opportunity to cut in line by paying a $35 fee masked as an upgrade. The team was selling a cut the line opportunity to people in line. Extremely frustrating after we waited all day. Also, the venue service was horrible. and the fan experience and customer relations was significantly lacking. Won't be attending this venue again. Very frustrating that I sat in line all day and ended up with a horrible spot because people got to cut the line. read more

Amazing concert venue! Purchased VIP seats for a recent show and Danielle couldn't have been more helpful. Great experience - from her quick response to my initial inquiry for tickets, to arriving at the venue and getting us to our seats. Acoustics were great, view was great. And was super simple to grab food from the restaurant downstairs and bring up to our seats. Will definitely return! read more

on 10/13/2022 i seen sabaton and epcia as far the sound goes is was really good i had good seats i did not like the gen admis was about 50 and then or why not add 120 to the ticket just to set down and if that was not bad enough then we had to stand in line witch was about 15 blocks long the show was to start at 730 by the time we got in we missed the first band witch i really wanted to see the drinks was way to high price i paid over 350 for the tickets for 2 what a rip off i am sure others feel the same way i will never go to any show there again and think i should a refund but of course not it is all about how much money we can get out of people i think this is sad work hard all week just a concert that i did not see it cost me about 600 and a day off work and for what i will not go again so people be aware that if you go to a show there and dont mind missing the first band then ok you will have fun spending all your money they will sure happy to take it so think again if you want to go read more
