Ashley and the whole team from Flower Firm is wonderful!! They truly helped us bring our vision to life and all of the details were strung together amazingly throughout our entire wedding space! We've gotten so many compliments from friends and family, but also the staff at our venue. In particular, Ashley brought such great creativity to elements of our wedding from design to how to flow our guests from space to space to give some great 'wow' moments! We would absolutely recommend Flower Firm to our friends and family. read more

Working with Ashley was easy and helpful - their team made our black tie fundraiser both beautiful and elegant - in the past we've gone the DIY route to save money and I think having Flower Firm install everything was close to the same cost at the end of the day and their setup was spectacular. A few of the installers stayed later and helped us with items they didn't even bring - amazing company and we will be back next year!! read more

We decided to hire Flower Firm for our May 2019 wedding at Theater on the Lake. We were extremely pleased with their services. From the initial meeting, where they carefully reviewed all my dream Pinterest boards, to the midnight pick ups after the wedding, they were extremely professional. We worked with Ashley Scaparine, who was delightful to work with. She helped us solve some lighting problems at the venue, and was conscious about keeping us within our strict budget. I had dreamt of having a flower wall with "floating" flowers and Flower Firm delivered. I also got so many compliments on our bouquets throughout the day. Ashley and her team really helped my vision come to life! I would definitely recommend them to any new brides! read more

Disclaimer: I used The Flower Firm for my wedding in 2005. So this review is certainly out-of-date, but I have to assume they still sell, y'know, flowers. So here's the scene. My husband and I went into The Flower Firm for a consultation. Now you have to understand that he's actually a big flower-guy - he knows way more about them than I do. When the meeting began, it was obvious that the woman was talking to me only. After her initial thinly veiled shock when I announced that he would be taking the reins on the flowers, she immediately took him in and they talked shop. She was incredibly helpful, made great suggestions and stayed completely within our budget (even suggesting that we go without flowers on the chair-backs to save us money). She also saved us a bundle by suggesting that we use our centerpieces for the dining tables on pillars to line the aisle during the ceremony. After, they just picked 'em up and transferred them to the table. What a great idea! I wish I remembered her name! Day-of was perfect, the flowers were exactly what we expected and we had no communication problems whatsoever. Our wedding photographer even used a picture he took of our flowers in his website portfolio. I'd call that a success! **Here's a link to the photographer's website if you want to see the cake with the flowers they did on it - click portfolio-after and then click on picture #10 in the list** www.andrevospette.com ETA: The Flower Firm contacted me to thank me for my review (how sweet!) and reminded me that the person I worked with was Nancy - what a wonderful woman! Just wanted to include that, since she really did an amazing job on our wedding. read more

I'm glad I didn't pay attention to the Yelp reviews when I decided to hire The Flower Firm for my October 2011 wedding. I would never have had the most beautiful flowers ever. Not only did the flowers miraculously appear at the perfect time and to the right people, Colette personally delivered my bouquet which was such a thoughtful gesture. The flowers were simple, elegant, and timeless. I only wish I was able to get married over and over again so I could pick out different arrangements. Colette and her staff are fabulous at what they do. Leading up to the wedding, I never worried once about the flowers. Now the band on the other hand, that was a different story. Thank you Flower Firm! read more

My wedding florals were ordered from the Flower Firm through Tanta and WOW!-- they were absolutely stunning. I simply sent the FF an inspiration photo and they beautifully executed on the same aesthetic within my budget. The flowers were simple, elegant, and slightly tropical, in a lovely white and green color scheme. They were delivered to the venue on-time and looked perfect, with no damage or wilting. The FF also offered great value for money, as I was able to fill my ceremony and reception space with far more arrangements and floating candles than I would have expected, given my budget!! They even snuck a white king protea into my bridal bouquet, which put me over the moon before I walked down the aisle! Thank you thank you, Flower Firm team. You made my wedding decor remarkable. read more

I am so happy I chose to work with Jacklyn at The Flower Firm for my wedding on 6/13/15. She started with a very indecisive bride and painted the full picture for me with past event photos and cropping in special vases for true examples of what my pieces could look like. We went into the studio for two sample viewings, both of which exceeded our expectations. The pieces were installed impeccably, and we are so happy Jacklyn could create such an amazing, picture perfect look. I can't say enough about her responsiveness and willingness to go above and beyond. read more

We got married beginning of June this year & Flower Firm did all our flowers for the big day. They were absolutely gorgeous! We received many compliments on them. My family & I are big gardeners so we had high expectations for flowers at the wedding & they did not disappoint! They were very easy to work with! Even when the person we began to work with ending up leaving it was an easy transition to the new point of contact. I had shopped around numerous flower companies & they were definitely the most reasonably priced plus they gave me a quote right away. They're a big company that can handle any kind of event & numerous ones at a time. We would highly recommend them for your wedding! Thank you again for the beautiful arrangements & bouquets!! read more

I cannot say enough good things about Colette and The Flower Firm. When I first met with Colette to talk about our wedding and what I had in mind, she listened and offered some really great suggestions, as well. When my parents and I went back to see the mock up of what her and I had talked about, it was stunning! She did exactly what I had wanted (although I had never actually seen it, I knew what I wanted and she brought it to life). At our wedding, my bouquet, as well as my bridesmaids' bouquets and the boutonnieres were just perfect, the ceremony was so magical, and the reception tables were exactly as I knew they would be, but better. Everything that The Flower Firm did so far exceeded our expectations, and I could not have imagined anything better. I would recommend them to anyone! read more

I was an out-of-town bride and every second I was back in Chicago the time was precious. I worked with MacKenna and she was absolutely amazing. She listened to our needs and every meeting we were completely satisfied. Coming to the last week before our wedding she made adjustments to our needs and delivered on it all. Literally, she delivered to my suite our personal flowers. They were all so beautiful, the colors were outstanding and it was everything I wanted and more. I would recommend every bride to The Flower Firm, you won't be disappointed! read more

I worked mainly with Nancy for my wedding. She was great & easy to work with. I changed my mind a lot about the flowers after our initial consultation & flower mock-up, so I wasn't sure exactly how everything would look on the day. Everything was beatiful, but not totally how I understood it would be. The bouquets for the mothers were smaller than the one for the flower girl, which made no sense. My bouquet was super tightly wrapped, and smaller than I thought it would be. The uplighting on the columns at my venue (River East Art Center) was supposed to be a rosey pink color, but they were just white light instead. I would recommend. They do very, very beautiful work, we just had some communication issues, and that could have been partly my fault. The column lighting was a total mistake though, as it clearly said "rose colored uplighting" in my proposal. read more

I would use Flower Firm for any event not just weddings. I was so happy with the pricing and floral arrangements for my bridal shower and wedding. Everyone was lovely to work with and prompt in getting back to me.I myself wasn't very knowledgeable when it came to flowers but I was educated during my consultation. I am now addicted to succulents. It was great to incorporate color in my bouquet. Being that our wedding was in October I wanted color to make things pop. I was very happy with both floral arrangements at my shower and wedding. I would highly recommend Flower Firm. read more

I used the Flower Firm for my November 2009 wedding. The staff was professional and attentive throughout the whole planning process. Best of all, the arrangements the day of the wedding were gorgeous! I knew I wanted very unique arrangements incorporating pheasant feathers for all of my tables. We used the Flower Firm for our 9/28 wedding and could not have been more pleased! To start, Kelly Wood is amazing to work with. She has great energy, a high level of professionalism, and a wonderful knack for bringing a bride's vision to life! I didn't know exactly what I wanted - but she DID! Another great thing about the Flower Firm is that they will actually make a preview of your centerpieces before the big day (at no charge) so you can see them in real life. This was super helpful to get an exact idea of size and true colors and make any changes. On the day of, Kelly delivered the flowers personally. They were breathtaking. They were also incredibly fresh and went the entire day without browning or wilting; I even forgot to put my bouquet in water over night and it still looked great the next day when we dropped it off to have it preserved! They are reasonably priced and Kelly will work with you to scale to your needs! I would highly recommend. read more

I proudly stand by my one star review! Obviously Christine and the flower firm are clearly in the midst of a heavy PR push to try to sweep or discount the negative ratings they have about them under the rug. Christine says that I clearly don't sugar coat my reviews, and she's absolutely right. Yelp is not a place where you go to read sugar coated reviews - you want the honest truth and experience from people that have dealt with the business or establishment. I was simply stating my experience with the flower firm and not to mention, my review was complimentary of their talent! I'm glad others have had more positive experiences and it is up to the yelp community to decide for themselves and weigh the positive reviews along with the negative ones! That is what yelp is all about and what makes it so great. read more

They tried to contact me only AFTER a poor yelp review... That speaks for itself. I got married in 2009, so the 2010 comment on the owner's part is telling. Don't take your potential customers for granted. So let's hope some 2011 reviews will show that they have improved since my review two years ago. A business can always try harder, and thereby get higher reviews. So good luck to you as well Flower Firm. And no, that's not sarcastic. I sincerely hope they have learned how to be better and do better; however I worry that instead of listening and learning from their mistakes they are instead being defensive. .... Just see these reviews as constructive criticism. We actually want you to succeed! More competition is better for the consumer! read more

Sorry to hear the other reviewers had negative experiences with The Flower Firm. I used them last year for my wedding and actually had wonderful experience. The only thing that annoyed me in the beginning was their initial proposal went over my budget ($3K) by quite a bit. However, in my follow-up meeting with Nancy, we were able to make some tweaks to the plan and hit our budget almost exactly... while still having beautiful, stunning flowers for the wedding. Everything was delivered and set up on time. I loved loved loved my bouquet! read more

The Flower Firm takes such good care of Temple Sholom and always makes our sanctuary look so beautiful. We are so grateful.

I could not be more pleased with the flowers The Flower Firm provided for my wedding on 8/31/13. I was amazed the day we walked in for the preview and just as floored when I saw the pavilion decorations. The personal flowers were exactly what we wanted. Whatever you request of The Flower Firm, they are more than happy to deliver! Nancy was very accommodating with corrections and changes we had to the order. Thank you so much for being part of such a special day for us. read more

Colette at the Flower Firm is a true professional. She took my inspirational ideas and more importantly my budget and made my flowers exactly what I wanted. We had a January wedding and I wanted to be careful not to select flowers that would be hard to source and very expensive given the time of year. She assured me that my favorite white calla lilies would be possible and took my ceremony, reception and bridal party vision and streamlined. The in person meeting was great - she even rented my linen from BBJ so I could see the entire look all together. She is a true pro and you can see that she loves floral design. The Flower Firm is the in house floral designer of the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago - clearly their reputation speaks for itself! read more

We were referred to Colette at the Flower Firm and from the moment we met with her, we were amazed and knew that we 100% wanted to work with her and her team for our wedding. I got married in Healdsburg, California two years ago and James and Colette and their great staff orchestrated an amazing day! I was the kind of bride who had a pretty good idea of what she wanted but wasn't interested in the nitty gritty details...which is perfect for working with the Flower Firm since they are SO good at both the vision and the execution of it. In advance of the big day I had sent the FF pictures and examples of the look and feel of the flowers and the vibe I was going for (Barn chic as I called it, nothing matching and lots of variety and color and textures). There really wasn't too much back and forth...I trusted they knew what they were doing and were pros who could actually make whatever vision I had better than I could imagine. Fast forward to the wedding day. Before the ceremony my bridesmaids and I went into the art gallery where the reception was going to be held. Walking into the room, with all of the flowers and amazing vases and it being EXACTLY what I wanted, it was amazing. Seeing the reception room for the first time was one of the highlights of my wedding day. I am dead serious. I was so thankful. I can't begin to describe how happy I was (plus, I was marrying an amazing man, but this review isn't about that!). The flowers that the FF shipped in and arranged were beyond amazing. And FF didn't just do the flowers, they also arranged lighting and acted as psuedo day-of planners, whatever it took to make us happy. We got so many compliments on everything and even now I still think about those beautiful flowers and how much they added to an already wonderful day! read more

Colette is absolutely FABULOUS to work with! She is a creative genius. Upon our first meeting with her, she showed us countless styles and "feels" for how our wedding flowers could be. She talked to us, got to know us and got us to our perfect wedding flowers. The staging of the flowers was perfectly executed with attention to detail and obvious time and thought. The flowers at the wedding received as many compliments as my wedding dress! Everything was gorgeous. She made our winter wedding feel warm and celebratory. Love Flower Firm! read more

Whew, that was one arrangement I was glad to toss. I stayed at the Four Seasons the night before my wedding and according to the hotel's management, The Flower Firm is the on-site florist for the hotel. I'm not sure why, but this company delivered a couple dozen roses to our room the night before our wedding. They shouldn't have taken the time. If that bouquet is any indication of their skills, The Four Seasons Hotel should scrap this co. and go with 1-800-Flowers. read more

The Flower Firm recently provided their services for my friend's banquet. I was there to watch the Flower Firm set up the whole event. My first impression of James and Colette (the owners) was that were extremely friendly and caring towards the needs of their clients. After watching the set up for about an hour, I realized that my first impression about James and Colette was in fact, the complete opposite of the truth. For this event, James and Colette employed about 20 people for the set up. I soon realized that James and Colette talk down to all employees and will even embarrass them. I saw James belittle an employee for asking a question that he deemed "stupid", After seeing their end result, I realized they are capable of doing the equivalent work of any other flower company. After comparing the bid offers, they were extremely competitive with other companiess. But after my brief interactions with them, I found them very disrespectful and fake. They try and dazzle their clients, but treat their workers like they are incompetent morons. There is no doubt that I believe they run a successful business, but I personally do not like to give business to people that have no respect for others. And for the record, a cheap suit shows. James walks around like Ray Liotta with that suit on, but it is noticeably cheap. I am guessing the suits must be from some place like Burlington Coat Factory or Value City. And his ear looks as though it was bitten badly by a rat. read more

The Flower Firm is, in a word, FANTASTIC. There is no need to look any further if you want REMARKABLE flowers for your special event. If you have ever been to the Four Seasons Chicago, you have probably been blown away by the sophisticated and creative floral designs in their lobby areas. The Flower Firm is the official florist of the hotel, and in my view, an important part of what makes the Four Seasons such a magnificent place to visit. In planning my very small wedding reception at the Four Seasons in August 2009, I was both surprised and honored that the Flower Firm would want to work with me because they do huge events all over the country. But, not only did they stay within my budget, they proposed several ways in which I could get more for my money. My interaction with the Flower Firm began with a consultation at their West Loop location. I had an idea of what I wanted, but Colette (co-owner with her husband) was able to digest my ideas and take them to a whole new level. She really listens and is very knowledgeable and design-minded. She talked openly about what would have an impact and what would be wasteful. And, she's so incredibly personable, I knew that I wanted to work with her. A few days after our first meeting, I received a proposal and, upon my agreement to work with them, I was invited back to see some designs they had in mind for me, including a real "mock up" of a candlelit dinner table! Colette and her team were completely agreeable to making changes here and there, and they were forthcoming in telling me about any changes that would result in going over-budget. I was confident that they would deliver what I wanted for my special day and then some. On the day of the wedding, I was blown away! I admit to having very high standards, but I literally jumped up and down when I saw my bridal bouquet. The arrangements on the altar at the church (which were kindly transferred to the reception by the Flower Firm) were so breathtaking that I had to make a real effort to focus on getting married instead of staring at the flowers. And, when my guests entered the room where dinner was held, their jaws dropped to see a single long table adorned with beautiful, sweet flowers and candles. In short, my guests are still talking about the IMPACT and ELEGANCE of the evening, and this was in large part due to the quality of flowers and service delivered by the Flower Firm. If you want your flowers to stand apart, call them! read more

The Flower Firm did the decor for my friend's wedding a few months ago and I was BLOWN AWAY! The one question everyone asked her afterwords was, "Who did the flowers??" When my fiance and I started to plan our own wedding, I could not have been more excited to meet with them myself. From our first meeting, Nancy and Colette have both been incredible to work with. It was really important to me to work with great vendors, and the Flower Firm team is fun, professional, and so creative. Meeting with them I could tell that they totally got the look we wanted, and they were great about sticking to our budget. We just had our sample showing and they nailed it.... The Flower Firm recently provided all of the flower arrangements for my wedding, and all I can say is 'wow'! They did a wonderful job translating my ideas into reality: on the day of the event, everything was *exactly* as we discussed in our planning meeting. I would highly recommend them to anyone planning an event that requires floral design. I worked with Colette and Lynn, and they were both phenomenally attentive and really eager to make sure that they understood exactly what I wanted. I had interviewed several other florists / design firms before choosing them, but I picked Flower Firm because of their attention to detail and willingness to work to give me what I wanted. It took me a while to figure out what exactly I wanted in terms of colors, types of flowers, etc., but Colette and Lynn were incredibly patient and provided numerous examples and suggestions to help me make my decision(s). At other vendors, I felt like I was being 'pushed' in a certain direction - they wanted me to use flowers they would already have in stock, go with a certain color scheme, etc. But that was not the case at the Flower Firm: they designed a unique floral concept just for my event, and then they executed flawlessly. I've gotten numerous emails from our guests saying that they had fun at our wedding, and one of the most frequently commented-upon features were our flowers. I noticed that some of the other reviewers had problems getting proposals back - I didn't have that problem. The communication I received from Flower Firm was relatively prompt and they were eager to answer any questions I had (even after we signed a contract). I would happily work with them again in the future. read more

We used Flower Firm for a wedding last summer. We worked with Colette and she was fabulous. During our initial consultation she listened and took notes as to exactly what we wanted and she also asked lots of questions. The presentation was beautiful and included exactly what the table centerpieces would look like as well as bridal and bridesmaid bouquets. I hired The Flower Firm for my wedding in August 2014. We were very happy with their beautiful flower arrangements, bouquets, and event decor! I had high expectations because I knew they had done weddings at the Four Seasons and Ritz Carlton in Chicago. Nancy Chruscinski was wonderful to work with and she personally delivered my bouquet on my wedding day. The flowers were exactly what I expected.
