I wish the service here was more consistent because I like the food and atmosphere of this place but the last time I went our waitress hardly came outside and there were multiple people trying to cash out or ready to order that had to seek out staff on their own. Other times I've been we've had really attentive staff even when sitting outdoors so I don't think it's just an outside thing in general.

WHITE CHOCOLATE ESPRESSO MARTINI

Wandered in here on a little evening walk and was immediately greeted by Savannah at the bar & Katie who was working the floor! Busy but was able to snag a seat and SO happy I did. Savannah asked me if I liked Espresso Martinis - turns out this Irish-American kitchen & bar makes them a ton of different ways, and despite their ability to do it all, not ONE was compromised on quantity. My favorite was the white chocolate espresso martini - they literally garnish it with grated White Chocolate and it made for a perfect pick me up + kind of snack ;) I have it on good authority from my Irish pals that they have a great pint of Guinness as well. Between the service and the vibes I am looking forward to coming back! The bartender Savannah also let me know that they're able to host semi-private events. I'm thinking I'll do my next watch party here. Great vibes and can't wait to come back.

The Ritas were very good. They make fresh sour mix which is amazingly yummy and not sweet which makes me want more! My favorite tacos are the veggie and chicken. So flavorful. When I'm craving tacos I'll be making my way to 5 Lamps!!! The service was spot on and love the decor!!! I found my favorite neighborhood bar!!! Thanks 5 Lamps Crew!!!

Ambiance (5/5): There's an amazing outdoor area with several tables and high tops. They also have an outdoor TV to watch any games that are on. There's a self-serve water station. Inside, it's a cozy bar with nice ceiling lights. There's a dart board in the back. Service (4/5): My friends know the owners here and Owen will take care of you! The owners are friendly and will make sure that you are welcomed. We came around 9pm and it took forever to get our food but we were content with our beers and good weather. Food (5/5): There's a $20 burger and beer special. I liked the burger which came with cheese and bacon, soft potato buns, and well-done potato wedges were FIRE. I enjoyed the fried chicken burger slightly more, which had a light breading and juicy breast.

Came during Tuesday and was quite impressed. Attention: they will only seat you when your whole party is present, especially when crowded. The tacos were filled, 3 or 4 will probably fill you up. Tuesday deal - $2 tacos and $8 margs (no frozen)

I always see a lot of people eating at the five lamps whenever I pass by and I finally got a chance to go there for their taco Tuesday! They probably have the best deal for taco Tuesday in UES and tacos are $2 each and their margarita is $6. They only have three options for their tacos: pork, chicken, and veggies and I tried both the pork and chicken. Other than tacos, my boyfriend and I also got their chips and guac. Chicken taco: 5/5 They were good especially with the price! Tortilla was soft, and the fillings were flavorful. Pork taco: 3/5 The pork was very dry, almost like pork floss. Do not recommend at all. Chips and guac: 5/5 Not part of the taco Tuesday menu but we just wanted something other than tacos. Portion was very generous and the guac tasted great! Will definitely come back for their taco Tuesday again!

Amazing ambiance!! Great drinks and responsive hard working staff (owners present and you feel their warmth and dedication). The food was fresh, made to order and good value. The drinks, my friend...excellent and top shelf service!! I highly recommend this experience and establishment without reservation! You will make it a favorite destination for sure!

Ambiance was nice at this bar, I was here In the past to use the Winter Tippler booklet. Original drink that was mentioned I believe they ran out of certain ingredients but the cocktail that was provided was amazing. After my Tippler drink, I did think of getting some tacos for taco Tuesday but In the end I did not. The beer I did try after on this same night last winter was amazing in the long run. Definitely recommend this spot for a place you should visit even if it is just to get a quick drink or two.

Standard. Not the friendliest bartender. Please update the menu on your website to match the paper menu in the bar.

My favorites are still on the menu, but I know a crowd one (Pika Pika) was lost. One I saw there was no crowd (on a Sunday night ~8PM) + they started playing "First Love" by Hikaru Utada, I knew it was gonna be a good night. The place did fill up starting at 9:30PM until almost closing at 11:30PM. *recommended What we ordered: - Agumon (Hojicha version): not quite an espresso martini, but similar vibe with slight sweetness, nuttiness (according to my other friend) + the orange garnish gave great balance - Agumon (off-menu matcha version): the matcha's astringency added more acidity + with no garnish the whiskey was much more prominent - Tokyo Banana*: genuinely tastes like banana + not in the artificial banana milk way - Yurie*: refreshing balance of sweet + sour - Strawberry Daifuku*: love a sweet drink, misleading name tho (only strawberry in the daifuku garnish) - Mala Fries: super crispy + not overly spicy, pricey for fries tho

I thought it was just one a one off thing, but it turns out their burger is insanely salty too. It seems like they pre-salt their burger patties since the texture is kind of gummy? The alternative is to salt the patties during cooking to retain the structure and feel of a beef patty. The overall meal was a disappointment. I'll have to try it again the future. Maybe theres a different cook in the back. For the value of $18, it's not bad, but not great on the tastebuds.

Love the bar stools at this place tho, they have backs and the chair is cushioned! I appreciate a good back to a barstool. I ended up coming a few days later and the vibe was much better. The bartenders must have just been tired from their previous shift that one Thursday. They were really great on a Saturday. The happy hour is pretty nice $5 for shot and $10 for a marg. ::bathroom alert::: Very inconvenient when you're at the bar. It's like a maze getting down there. The bathroom is clear tho, I'll give them that. They were playing live music for like 90 minutes. There was literally no one at this bar on a Thursday night, so much for thirsty Thursday. Theres a section off to the left that has a pool table and connect four. On a Saturday night they are playing Spanish music, most people know Spanish music and drinking is super fun!! I can totally see why this place doesn't have a lot of pictures. I don't see how a lot of people wouldn't it is cozy. At the end of the day this places prices are reasonable for this area. They get the five stars because the music was good and the prices were good. $7 for an ipa isn't so bad.

They have some really standout dishes: chicken Khao soi and the Karee Pu noodles being the two that blow me away each time I have them. I am happy to see that they've added vegetarian Khao soi and an entire vegetarian menu, though I haven't had a chance to try them yet! I'd recommend this restaurant for the wonderful ambiance, friendly service, and to enjoy one of their "key" dishes (others are just "meh"). Soothr would be fab for a big group dinner out, catching up with friends, or a fun date. It can get a little loud, so I wouldn't recommend for more intimate or serious occasions. A bit pricey too, but the whole ambiance elevates it to where it's worth it, in my opinion.
