There's so much to enjoy in one area--a nearby library, a beautiful pond filled with ducks and fish, and plenty of open grassy spaces perfect for relaxing or having a picnic. There are also benches and covered seating areas, which make it easy to spend a good amount of time there comfortably. The park is very family-friendly, with a playground, pickleball courts, a volleyball area, and even two separate dog parks--one for larger dogs and one for smaller dogs. Nearby, there's also a community pool and a sports area where you can play games like baseball. They also host festivals throughout the year, and during Christmas, the decorations are especially beautiful and add a nice festive touch. Parking is convenient and free, which is a huge plus. There's also a smaller college located nearby, which adds to the community feel of the area. Overall, it's a well-maintained, welcoming park with something for everyone.

Some people ignore dog size signs which can be dangerous and patrol is very slow to respond. Beautiful area to fish, walk, bbq, huge park for the kids. This coward Keith was either incompetent and too afraid to admit he made a mistake or he is too inconsiderate to care what we invested and signed our kids up for where he needed players. Either way this piece of garbage deserves this review. His response was constantly late and his stupid refund does not make up the time, energy and enthusiasm we had for a giant let down for us. Screw Keith and what has amounted to one of the worst experiences I've ever witnessed w an organization.

Then a CCV star staffer who was near the goal and didn't have the correct angle to see it just started berating parents all crazy and like mocking them. He acted like his way was the only possible thing that could have happened. The way he carried himself was not of the church I grew up at and honestly you guys should be embarrassed and he should be removed. He was working near the medal booth with the younger gentleman who is always as polite as could be. Mariners fans, here's your guide to a great day at the park…read more Head to the stadium early to watch the guys at the practice fields. It's free, and gates open at 9:30. See dozens of players on the various fields throwing pitches, fielding balls, and taking batting practice. On game day, the guys wrapped up practice around 11:50, so I recommend getting there at least by 11. Don't miss doing this--it's just as entertaining, if not more entertaining than the game. Where else can you see players this up close? Then, walk on over to In-N-Out or Raising Cane's for lunch before the game. They're about a 15 minute walk away. I feel odd recommending fast food, but you gotta try what you can't get back in Seattle! There is food at the stadium, but it's not discount prices. Expect to pay just as much (or more) for a drink than you would at T-Mobile Park. After lunch, head to the park for the 1:10 game. The stadium is very intimate, and there really isn't a bad seat. It does get hot tho--the seats themselves are very toasty. Fortunately, we brought some towels from the hotel to sit on. The couple in front of us had to go buy some towels in order to sit comfortably. Also, pack a small portable fan. As someone who doesn't like hot weather, the fan made a huge difference and made sitting in the seats tolerable. Lastly, bring a water bottle and some sunscreen. There are cooling stations throughout the stadium, and some shaded spots. Parking is right in front of the stadium, free, and plentiful. You do not need to worry about not getting a spot--especiailly if you come early to watch practice.

If you're a baseball fan, make sure to come to a Spring Training game here at Peoria Sports Complex!

When I told some soccer friends that my daughter had a game a Pioneer Park in Peoria, they suggested we stop by this nearby store to look for some new cleats. After a bit of research (ie: on their website), I learned that "Soccer Post is the largest retail specialty soccer chain in the United States, and that Soccer Post Arrowhead is a family-owned and operated store for soccer players and enthusiasts of all ages." While unfortunately, we left our visit empty handed due to the cleats my daughter wanted not being in stock in her size, I was pleased with the overall selection, friendly staff, prices, etc... I would definitely return if in the area and in need of soccer stuff!
