A WORD OF CAUTION FOR PARENTS AND FAMILIES ‍…read more I believe it is important to share my experience with D-Bat Nashville to help other families make informed decisions when choosing where to do business. As a parent of a child who has faced significant medical challenges (undergoing a stem cell transplant for sickle cell anemia), I understand that life can change in an instant. When your child is dealing with serious medical issues, your priorities shift. Your focus becomes their health, recovery, and well-being. Sometimes, administrative tasks that would normally be simple can fall through the cracks during these difficult seasons. Unfortunately, my experience with this company has been disappointing. I attempted to cancel his membership last year in August because things began to change medically and my son could no longer participate in practicing baseball, but the cancellation did not process as intended, it only suspended for 6 months. Charges in excess of $700 continued to accumulate from Feb- Sep 26' during a period when my family was navigating significant medical circumstances. The charges finally stopped because I just so happen to find a charge that I didn't recognize and immediately called to inquire about it. I initially received the run around and told to contact corporate for a refund, only to get a response (after a week of unanswered emails and voice mail) from corporate just to say they don't handle those type of disputes and I needed to contact the local D-Bat franchise. When I reached out to the owner to explain the situation and request consideration for a refund, I was informed that their cancellation policy was firm and that the refunds 2 months $160 already provided exceeded what they were obligated to offer. While I acknowledge the refunds issued, I was disappointed by the unwillingness to reconsider the remaining charges in light of the circumstances. My concern is not simply about the money. It is about how a company that caters to children and families responds when a family is facing extraordinary challenges. Policies are important, but so are compassion, understanding, and customer service. Families dealing with serious medical conditions should not have to worry about whether a company will demonstrate reasonable consideration when unexpected circumstances arise. I encourage parents, especially those caring for children with complex medical needs, to carefully review cancellation policies, keep documentation of every cancellation request, and confirm in writing that memberships have been terminated. I am sharing my experience so others can make informed decisions. Every family's experience may be different, but mine has left me disappointed in how this situation was handled. Compassion matters. Accountability matters. And how a company treats people during difficult seasons matters. #ConsumerAwareness #CustomerService #ParentAdvocacy #MedicalFamilies #KnowBeforeYouCommit #SickleCellAwareness

As a person that grew up near Nashville, I used to play mini golf all the time when I was in high…read moreschool. And the place we always went was Family Golf Center at Hickory Hollow. So that tells you just how long this place has been around in one form or another... So yeah, it isn't brand new. Many, many of the light fixtures are broken (probably due to terrible shots provoking people to smash them with their putters?). Your ball may get stuck in one of the ones that take it through a pipe to another side. Don't let that stop you, it is still pretty fun. The BF and I took his daughter on an excursion here to play her first round of mini golf. We had a really fun time playing. We only did 18 holes, but I assume you can pay to play both sides of the course. Don't miss getting fish food at the end and going back to feed the fish in one of the ponds. They are enormous and his daughter loved watching them clamor to her for food! I didn't get any food or drink and I can see that it might be the most basic of basic concession food, so do that at your own risk. There are also go karts beside this place, but no one was there and I guess it wasn't open yet. Something to try another day! Basically, we have few options for mini golf in the area, so if you are near this area of town you should come here. It is still good fun even if it isn't the most modern, updated facility.

We played the course 10/14 with grandkids on the way to Nashville KOA. I had read the bleak…read morereviews, but I was curious because many people said it had more character than more modern courses. It is true that it is run down, but it has great bones as they say. Winding paths and different levels. The astro turf is in adequate to good condition, holes are fun to play. You probably want to go in the daytime since it looks like a lot of the lights are not working. Keep an eye on kids since there are some pokey sticks and loose masonry. Great old fixtures like the lighthouse and the cottage have been vandalized over the years but you can see how nice they were once. It was $7.50 for kids and seniors. Not crowded, only one other family playing.
