This place needs a lot of work first of all the seats and tables were drity also the works were disrespectful and rude I was just trying to get a simple cup of water and made me pay a whole dollar for what a basic human necessity ?? they gave me an attitude while handing me water, later during my time there I went to the bar and they gave me a water for FREE. I just don't understand the need to charge me a single dollar if I can just go to the bar thats right beside it and get one for free. read more

The bowling was fun and the team on the bowling side of the business were helpful and friendly. Only 3 stars because the blonde guy Sunday at 12:30 pm working the food counter was very rude and short with answers. He took our order down wrong. Had an amazing time. I don't get out bowling much but when I do I'm reminded how much I do enjoy it. Got here around 7:45 and the place was lit! There was a lot of ppl, there's a bar for some adult beverages...I mean everyone bowls better after a few drinks right?! :) Great atmosphere for a date, groups, and families. This is a good old-school bowling alley with 32 lanes. We went on a Saturday afternoon, and it was busy. The alley was clean and well-maintained, and the staff was great. They were super helpful and kept the check-in line moving. The lanes were in great condition, the scorekeeping system was easy to use, and every two lanes had a tv. The bowling shoes were also a pleasant surprise; they were updated and not the typical old ones. Overall, I had a great experience at this bowling alley and would recommend it to anyone looking for a fun night out. read more

Rainy day in Nashville while visiting for three days so opted to bowl at this well rated alley. Not disappointed as it was very clean, and alleys well oiled and out of 3 games only had to reset frame one time. The ladies restroom was very clean and big plus! No wait even with a bowling league being there. Would recommend and will visit next time in town. read more

Well, you are definitely in luck if you come here. A group of friends and I came here on a Wednesday night and it was a good experience. It only cost $1.50 per person per game to bowl. Drawbacks is that they have a limited selection of balls and the music is horrible at times. read more

Well, where do I start. I came here years ago and it was a 3.5 star and in good days a 4, but wow, this place hasn't changed, for the bad. It like the high school person that had potential and they are still doing the same 12+ years later, dressing the same, acting the same (remember, 12+ years later) smell the same (you know what I'm talking about) endless the sameness. No updates, under staff, teens talking when they should be working, nasty bathrooms, nasty old shoes, but in the upper east side the lanes were working fine, and we had a great match! So if you don't care about all that jazz and want to play bowl then come on up (it's at the top of a mini hill). FYI don't think you going to pay less, same price as the nicer ones in town. I feel compelled to write a review for this place based on things like bowling, you know, not wifi. Look, I've worked at a bowling alley, I've bowled in leagues, I've bowled all over. For me, what matters is that a bowling alley has nice lanes, plenty of them, and oil on the lanes. I took a star off simply because I'm a bit of a bowling purist and can't stand the lights off and neon lights going for extreme bowling or whatever. I get it, it's the weekend, albeit 2 PM on a Sunday, and you can charge a little more when you put the lights on. I personally wish no lanes did this ever, but I understand why they're doing it. Good luck getting amazing employees at minimum wage at a bowling alley. It's just part of it. Personally I've come to expect it and it's just part of the gig. The lady I dealt with at the counter was more than happy to oblige my request to put me on the left side of a ball return, and stuck us away from lots of kids which was great. If people keep supporting these crazy "fancy" bowling alleys like D&B, paying outrageous amounts of money, these mom and pop spots will be a thing of the past like Play-Mor near 100 Oaks. I was perfectly happy with my experience at Hermitage Strike and Spare. you walk in to find a well lit building with extremely outdated features. I was having serious flashbacks to the 90's and the early 90's in the case of the restaurant decor. That said the line moved quickly to sign up for some cosmic bowling and we were told they would call our names when ready. We decamped to the aforementioned restaurant. There was a menu, a rather extensive one in fact, but no table service and only one extremely busy bartender so we thought it best not to order food in there. We did get some decent beer. Standard domestics are on tap. Outside by the lanes you can find pizza and fries served. The actual bowling experience was pretty fun. they don't waste time on any fancy graphics or sound effects at your station. Just get your ball put in your name and bowl. The lanes seemed to be pretty well maintained and oiled. Unfortunately the balls were just in terrible shape. Many had gouges, large nicks and rough spots in them. This made it very hard to really get any consistency. Fortunately we were just having a good time, but if you were playing to actually make a decent score I would bring your own ball or spend a lot of time looking for a decent ball here and then hold on to it. i was a little surprised that the music was kept low to a background noise level, in fact i can't even recall what genre they were playing if any at all. Surprising given that its usually cranked to 11 in places like this for Friday night bowling. We enjoyed pitchers of beers while we got in two solid games and a fun messing around half set before our lane time expired. The staff was basically just checking people in and letting them have at it. I really did not see any supervision at all. Finally, there is a small arcade with a few games that might keep a non bowler entertained for a half hour or so. Overall we enjoyed our time. Not as nice as some bigger venues and without the spectacle of dave and busters but it was fun for a group of friends. We checked on the wait at D&B and it was 3 and a half hours long. The price there was twice as high and the drinks as you may know astronomical. Here we were on a lane in twenty minutes drinking pitchers of yuengling for 12 bucks. This place needs help bad. It has decent lanes and games but it is really dated and messy. It looked like the tables hadn't been cleaned all day with trash and dishes on the tables. The snack bar attendant was slow as molasses. We had to repeat the order 3 times because she kept complaining about another customer and then debating with the customer about his ID while the guy was clearly in his 40s. It took 15 mins to get our order with 1 person in front of us. While we were salivating in anticipation of a drink, three other workers are walking around behind the counter doing nothing. Coming from a long term costumer, I am absolutely in love with this arcade! When I was younger my father would take me and my younger siblings to this specific arcade. Yet when we started going, the arcade section was now currently where the planet fitness is. When I saw they were remodeling. I WAS DEVASTATED! I thought they were taking the arcade out! But, after I had discovered they were not taking the arcade out I was so impatient to get back in the gameroom. Now they have even more than before! Games, pool, bumper-cars, and a beat the clock multiplayer game! The games there are acceptable for all ages! And they have a great variety of prizes! With $20 dollars me and my boyfriend come home with armfuls of prizes! The games aren't rigged like many arcades, and supply a plentiful amount of tickets! This place is a cheap, fun, family friendly environment. The staff is also so nice and helpful! My boyfriend and I usually wipe out machines on tickets so when they run out the staff is always very prompt to reloading them! They are super nice and full of personality! The last employee we had, his name was "Bob," yet we're sure that wasn't his real name because he was joking around with the kids, was so funny and very helpful!
