Glad to see family friendly places for Nashville. Hooky a newer arcade, bowling, and movie theater entertainment. Almost like a mini Dave and buster type of place. Bar area for adults to enjoy while the kids go off and play. Parking garage they do validates it for parking. Very nice new place to check out.

Excellent addition to downtown, the establishment was very nice. The cleanliness was unmatched they were wiping and cleaning everything throughly. My wife experience was very good the games are fun and the food menu was packed with items. Located in Nashville Yard's this is a fun dates night then cat dinner and a move or go bowling.

A jumbled concept that does no one thing well. The movies are overpriced and the seats are very uncomfortable. Stay away.

I've been around long enough to remember when this theater was brand new and felt like "the" spot…read moreto see a movie in Nashville. It's certainly seen better days, but it remains a comfortable place to catch popular films, and it's still booked and busy at peak evening times. Part of the Regal network, a standard film here runs about $17 (taxes and fees included) for a matinee and $21 for an evening prime time show. All theaters feature recliner-style seats with lots of room between rows. It's not always the most well-maintained between shows (popcorn and candy wrappers left behind by earlier moviegoers), but it's serviceable. Given the price of tickets these days, I do wish they'd keep it a bit cleaner. A medium popcorn and medium drink can run you about $23, which feels insane, but the popcorn is always freshly popped and topped generously with butter. The concessions line is always long but moves quickly, and I've never been late to a show because of it. Generally this is one of my preferred spots for popular movies: easy to reserve in advance, easy for my friends to get to from anywhere in greater Nashville (so a great meeting spot), and parking is plentiful even when it's packed. The Regal Unlimited membership is roughly $30 a month, so if you see at least two movies a month, it's a great deal compared to AMC's offering. I also find better movie selection with Regal in general, and this location always features some otherwise hard-to-find Indian movies, which is a nice bonus. Not the fanciest theater experience in town anymore, but a reliable one.

I visited Regal Thompson Lane on a Tuesday with my 4 and 3 year old for an 11 a.m. movie. During…read morethe summer, they offer $1 movies, which is an incredible deal for families. The exterior and interior could use some updating, but parking was extremely easy and convenient. Once inside, I noticed the bathrooms were clean and well maintained. There was a bit of a line at concessions, and it moved slowly, but the employee helping us was exceptionally kind and helpful. He even asked if I was a member and let me know I could save 40% on my order (I believe Regal offers this discount on Tuesdays). The theater itself was clean and appeared to have relatively new seating. The chairs weren't recliners, but they were comfortable enough for the movie. While Regal Green Hills is definitely the more modern theater, we had a great experience at this location and would happily return.

Another possible plus, depending on what you're looking for: this location is located inside a HUGE mall (seriously, you could walk miles here), so you have plenty of entertainment and dining options to plan around your movie. The average: Prices are about what you'd expect. Around 20 bucks for a ticket including service fees etc. The negative: this theater needs an update and is falling behind today's cinema standard. Seats were better than the old school seats, but did not recline or have tables or any other bells and whistles. From what I understand, there are some auditoriums with reclining seats, but mine did not boast that perk. I will say the theater is clean, however. I can't say much about crowd control or how the staff deals with rowdy patrons because I attended a movie that only had maybe 15 people in attendance, and it was pretty chill.

I don't really recommend visiting on a weekend, as it is right next to the Opry, and will probably be impossible to find parking! Parking is tricky even on a weeknight, but hey, that's Nashville for you. Tuesday nights are the move, with discounted tickets on all movies. The concessions line moved quickly, and the theater itself was clean. My popcorn was perfectly buttered and salted, albeit a bit pricey. My big complaint with this Regal is that they don't have recliners! These are your standard movie theater seats, and while that's fine every once in a while, it definitely stops us from making this our regular theater, especially when you are paying full price for tickets. I believe all of the other Regal locations around Nashville have recliners, so I'm not sure why this theater hasn't been updated ... but I would love to see them get a refresh!

Do you like thought-provoking and high-quality foreign films?…read more You could certainly catch a show at Nashville's appealing Belcourt Theatre (http://www.belcourt.org/) -- but did you also know that Vanderbilt has an International Lens series of films that it shows for FREE on its campus?! Here's the link to this season's lineup - http://www.vanderbilt.edu/internationallens/ Tonight I saw a tragic and thought-provoking Austrian film about Jewish counterfeiters working in a Nazi concentration camp during WWII (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0813547). Sure, perhaps I could have borrowed the film from the library, but Vanderbilt gave me the opportunity to see it on the big screen along with a brief introduction and post-show discussion led by a German professor. And did I mention this was free?! Gosh I love living near a major university that is willing to open its arms to the surrounding community and share its cultural largess. Thank you, Vanderbilt! What else...seats are comfy and the theater is clean, but don't expect stadium seating or cup holders. Sarratt Cinema is very nice, but not particularly fancy, ostentatious or luxurious. There was a limited selection of snacks and candies available at the door. I didn't get any, but I did notice that they had some sort of special deal where you could get a free popcorn if you purchased any other concession. Some other audience members took advantage of that offer. As you might expect from the venue, the audience seemed erudite and was well-behaved during the film. The cinema is on a lower level of the Sarratt Student Center (http://www.vanderbilt.edu/studentcenters/sarratt-student-center). If you're not already familiar with its location, you may want to plan on arriving a little early to find your way around and find someplace to park. So c'mon and take a cinematic trip around the world through the magic of film and the International Lens series @ Sarratt Cinema! What did Siskel and Ebert always used to say? "Until next time, the balcony is closed." (Er, only there is no actual balcony at Sarratt Cinema. But you get the idea. Work with me, people. Work with me. Yelpover and out.)

Since moving to West Nashville, this AMC has become our go-to theater after we tested a few others in the area out, with little success might I add. We were spoiled with full service/dine-in theaters back in Atlanta and while this location does not have the food service, it is the closest we will get to the comforts of those theaters. What they lack in food service, they make up for in large, comfy, spacious reclining seats combined with high dividers between rows. While they do not have a full menu, they do have a few options such as pizzas, nachos, and a few other hot dishes in addition to the classics of popcorn and candy. They also have a bar, however during all of our visits whether it be day or night, I have never seen the bar staffed or open. Overall, this is a solid theater. Service is hit and miss at the food counter, and they always seem to have a few issues during previews whether it be sound going out or the lights not dimming appropriately...luckily neither has happened during the actual movie, so we let it slide. As long as we live in West Nashville, this AMC will be our movie spot!

But I paid $40 for two tickets and 1 soda to smell mold, sit in a seat with trash in my cushion and cup holder, have a full trash can, and have a disgusting bathroom.
