Feed Loft is closed. I wish I would have known before I left the house! I went in there today (1/23/24) to get bird seed and the guy said "Oh Feed Loft is closed...this is now a dog training facility". They still have the Feed Loft sign up and the website has not been updated....very disappointed in how this was handled. read more

They sell dog, fish, rabbit/bunny/chinchilla/ferrett/guinea pig/hamster/rodent, bird, and cat feed (top tier brands), supplies, and treats here. Lots of diff kind of HAY. I love getting all natural dog chews here. So reasonably priced. Better deals than PeTSmart. Get ur bully sticks, jumbo pig ears, hooves, salmon skin chews, dried duck hearts , dried pig snouts, twirly bully sticks, BDAY biscuits for canines, and pressed rawhide here. Get baby feeding bottles here for nursing puppies /kittens/rabbits/goats/potbellied pigs etc weaned from their parents too young! Collars and leashes and doggie clothing galore ...BLACKHAWKS gear for your pup! The staff is real nice and the prices are reasonable. Comparable to PetSmart so why not support a small business and buy some homemade preserves/salsa during the checkout process too ! They sell these products...definitely a sweet little country store! The rabbit supply section is ON POINT. And RN they r having a 50% off EAGLE brand dog food. Go get some now!!!! GREAT deal!!! read more

I used to frequent this place for all sorts of pet supplies. I went in recently for 2 dozen crickets and when I arrived home, there were only 11 in the bag and 2 were dead. I revisited their location today to clarify that I have purchased 2 dozen crickets. The associate informed me that they don't actually count. They use a line marking system and that their numbers aren't always accurate. They provided me another dozen crickets free of charge. However, I am disappointed that if I'm paying for 2 dozen crickets and I only receive less than a dozen that they are scamming me. I will not be buying any more products in the future. read more

Employees are rude, and clearly a little slow. I asked for a small rat and all they showed me were large ones. Then they rolled their eyes when I said I don't want a large rat and treat me like shit because they're too dumb to know the difference between a full sized rat and a small one. Get off your high horse about only store breeding rats and pick up a shipment because the majority of people do not buy full sized rats, majority of buyers buy for live snake food. On top of that, they didn't have large crickets which the majority buys. Outrageous price for small crickets, which I got instead. $21 for 8 dozen small. Clearly idiots, don't waste your money or patience with their rude and inappropriate behavior. Should take your bitchy employees and fire their asses. I have a bearded dragon and this is one of the only pet stores that is in close range AND sells crickets, worms, roaches, whatever you need. I absolutely love the employees here and they are always extremely helpful with anything I may need. I always come here to get my crickets and I am always pleased with the service. read more

Best local place for fish bait and crickets! The crickets here are larger than most chain pet stores and pretty cheap too. They have homemade jams and I cannot say enough about how good the strawberry one is! They also have cute dog treats! read more

Place is a joke for live bait. Almost went back in and had them count out the minnows. Didnt want to deal with it. Get in the boat and start fishing to realize were not even close on crawlers. The 2 dozen bin had 14 in there and the dozen bin has 10. Give me a break head to angelos in wilmington. The feed loft should stick to dog food and aquariums. read more

Have visited The Feed Loft several times this past year. Every time I step thru the door I am greeted by an employee and asked if I need help. The place is always clean and smells good, like cedar shavings. The fish tanks are immaculate, no dead fish or dirty tanks. On occasion they have a rabbit or other small animal for sale/adoption and their cages are always clean, with happy looking animals in them. The hours are great too, open 7-7 M-Fri. My only issue would be some of the pricing, I can get some of what I need cheaper at Farm & Fleet. But for a local, family owned place its pretty nice. I will continue to shop here. read more

I have been visiting Feed Loft since my family and I first moved here 10+ years ago. It is a fantastic pet store, and I made a yelp account solely so I could review it personally! The staff are always very friendly and helpful, and the prices are good for majority of items. I have gotten animals from them in the past as well, such as fish, rats, rabbits and mice. Personality wise, the animals are almost always remarkable, particularly the pet rats! I have never gotten a skittish rat from Feed Loft - they are always social and friendly right from the get go. I love that they set aside particularly sweet rats for pets, as opposed to other pet stores that separate pets and feeders solely based on color. Health wise, it is a hit or miss, which is to be expected when dealing with animals of any kind. All the fish I have gotten from them have done very well health wise. My rabbit is still doing well (mammary tumors aside) after 10 years! My first two rats (ones they separated out because they were very, very sweet) lived long, healthy lives. However, I have bought a rat that was pregnant at the time of purchase, another rat that had a respiratory infection, and all the pet mice I have purchased (about 5 at this point?) sadly ended up passing away well before old age due to tumors or other issues, some as early as a week after purchase. All this being said, I still love Feedloft and highly recommend it! read more
