The inside is pretty neat in the seating area. However, when we started to order drinks, they were out of the first two things we wanted...at 11:00... I ended up going with the house blend coffee, and I actually had to throw it out after drinking half of it, it was that bad. Just bitter and undrinkable. I had the group I was with try it too, and they agreed it was bad. To get to the bathroom in the back of the building, you had to walk around trash on the floor and multiple mouse traps. I know it's impossible to avoid mice, but it definitely just kind of throws you off when you have to make sure not to step on a trap. Needless to say, I would probably look for another place unfortunately.

Seemed like it was mostly to prevent outside alcohol but was a blanket statement for all drinks. I thought it was odd I had to take my hot tea back to my car. Besides that the waitress wasn't super warm and friendly either. If I remember correctly she started with, "what are you drinking?" After I had to walk my tea to our parked vehicle. The food was mid. Very very mid. I got a salmon savory crepe. The salmon was dry, almost white in color and just seemed old. The crepe itself was chewy and hard to cut. My husband's wrap was decent. Kids plates were also decent. I liked that you "created" their plate from 3 categories or options. Overpriced for quality and portion. Once our food arrived there was a swarm of gnats that came with it. Our table was wobbly so cutting any food shook the entire surface. Our toddler caught on to this and wanted to rock the table the whole time. So between holding the table, trying to cut food and swatting gnats away.. it just wasn't a good experience all together. I'm confident there are better options in town for us to try when we return.

Im hoping the next time we stop in they aren't out of their salty bread to try with it. My wife tried the turkey, Brie and apple butter sandwich. Her's was my favorite of the two. They lightly toast the sandwich so everything is warm and creamy. The apple butter pairs nicely with the Brie and the smokey turkey. I'd recommend both of our sandwiches but if mine was an 8/10 hers was a 10 for me. I also had their house salad on the side. It wasn't anything extra special but the cranberries were a really nice touch to take it to the next level. If I had even one complaint to make it would be the hours. First, I very much enjoyed the large Cafe Americano with two splashes of whole milk. Can't comment on the food items, but the coffee is great here. Second, it's easy to find street parking next to Mugshots or about a block away near the Heritage Port Park entrance if you're here on a weekday. Third, the service was very friendly and pleasant. And finally, the interior of the cafe is cozy with the fun theme of mugshots. You can find lots of celebrity mugshots posted on the walls and tables. Overall, I very much enjoyed lingering in the cafe and relaxing a bit before resuming the drive on I-70 East. I would definitely return again for a coffee break in downtown Wheeling, WV.
