Gordon Ramsey would shut this place down so fast. It's so filthy inside, and that's just the front we can see, I can't imagine the back and machines. In many of the upper and lower corners, wallpaper is falling off of the walls. There's dustwebs around the ceiling. The baseboard is DISGUSTING. There's a layer of dust on every shelf. Then there's the refusal to get wifi for customers. I've gone in once every 5-6 months to ask if they have wifi so I can work in there, it's nice to work in a coffee shop where you can get drinks and snacks from them for a few hours, but they refuse. Every single time I've gone in for the past 2 years they say, "oh, the wifi is down"...just say you don't want to pay for wifi for your customers. As much as I want to support local small business over chains, at least the chain coffee shops are clean and have working wifi. If a store is this dirty to the customers eye, I don't trust the machines and food storage. I am done trying to support them. read more

The coffee is not like it was before , when they carried Wheeling coffee shop coffee. So disappointing.. coffee is not nearly as delicious!

A true neighborhood cafe, located in the Pleasanton neighborhood between an Aveda brand hair salon and a vegan-friendly restaurant Avenue Eats otherwise surrounded by a quaint residential area. And conveniently located on a side street that leads straight to I-70 access ramps. Besides coffee and teas the menu includes smoothies with real fruit. Not a large space but there are tables inside and outside to hang out to read available reading materials or play available board games. I'm happy I stumbled onto this neighborhood gem when visiting Wheeling. read more

Went here after lunch at Avenue Eats. Cute small coffee shop. They had several different chai mixes. I chose the spiced chai with hot water. It was tasty! My husband had a regular coffee and said it was good. No complaints. I would stop here again. One hour street parking. read more

Visiting from out of state. The coffee and Chai selections are good, although prefer stronger coffee. I had the Highlander Grogg and it was ok. Their selection is pretty wide and their seasonal drinks are delicious especially their pumpkin chai latte made with real pumpkin. You can chill inside or outside at the Wheeling Coffee Shoppe, which offers a wide variety of hot and cold beverages, locally-made snacks, and major ice creams. Their frozen, blended coffees are outstanding, frozen tea smoothies are great, and their espresso shots will get you going in the morning. The aesthetics are great. Flowers are maintained during the summer, and ducks are fed nearby on the grass, the inside is pretty as well. Chess, checkers, scrabble are available to entertain you and your friends. They sell some WCS merch if you want to rep their coffee joint. They offer free Wi-Fi, which is why I did a lot of my business work here. Parking can be weird, so I usually just park in the nearby plaza. The only thing that makes this place better is its proximity to Avenue Eats. I'd recommend eating at Avenue, then walking 100 feet to Wheeling Coffee Shoppe for desert and coffee, of course. Wonderful little place. read more

This coffee shop is a solid 4 star coffee shop. The Good: 1. The coffee is pretty normal is about on par with a standard Starbucks coffee. The brew is mellower than Starbucks so if you are not a fan of the burnt flavor of Starbucks, you might like the brew here. 2. There are a lot of little treats to buy with your coffee. Detractors: 1. The $4 minimum for credit/debit cards is a pain. The rule is understandable, but draconian for 2017 (at the time of this review). I had to buy a biscotti just to get a cup of coffee. 2. The seating is not that great. The tables are small and cannot comfortably accommodate a study setup. This may not seem like a big deal, but coffee shops and studying go hand-in-hand these days. read more

The best little coffee shop in Wheeling, now that Second Cup has closed. Ashley and Judy care about their product and their store, and it shows. If you're new to the area, try the Highlander Grog -- smooth and caramel-y. There's a regular crowd from the neighborhood, plus Wheeling Jesuit kids and Max (who's almost always there). My first and last visit to this place for coffee. Ordered an Irish blend with lots of cream. Apparently the barista has never encountered a customer who likes a little coffee with her cream. After waiting in line to ask for more cream, the frugal barista said she would do the honors of adding more cream, "Tell me when to stop!" She poured a drop of cream, looked at me and waited. Then another, stop, stare... So I resigned myself to say stop. Maybe they were running low on cream. On the other hand, my everything bagel with a myriad of fresh flavors melted on my tongue. Cute is the word here, but sadly not coffee. If it were Wheeling Cute Shoppe, you'd be in the right place. If you make the unfortunate assumption that these folks know coffee, or that they can craft espresso, you'll be disappointed. They don't, and they can't. A wall full of syrups and a cloying sweet aroma wallops you at the door. It's absolutely a throwback model -- hey, 1995 called and they want their coffee shop back. If you want a sweet flavored coffee-based concoction, this is your place. Me, I'd rather have a well crafted shot and velvety milk, which is not in evidence here. read more

Fun little shop with local class and feel. Polite, friendly, and all around good. Nice outside seating too just just relax, but my one complaint if any is that in the winter months when too cold to sit outside it is a bit small inside with little seating. For all those who are a grab-n-go crowd then this place definitely gets the job done with good drinks. read more

Random little gem on our road trip, this place was great. My wife got the Iced Mocha and I got the Iced Pumpkin Spice Latte. Her drink was tasty and mine was awesome. Unlike Starbucks and those other places, this place does not use some random factory made syrup for their Pumpkin Spice lattes. They make a homemade Pumpkin puree and dissolve it into your drink. You can't find this kind of flavor and originality just anywhere. Also, just a fun fact: They have a bacon syrup for coffee! If it wasn't for the Pumpkin Spice Latte, I would have tried making a bacon mocha. read more
