a steak sandwich and potatoes

This is in my opinion the best restaurant in Hamlin NY for breakfast. Everything is fresh, taste really good and at a very good price. The only thing i don't really like is that they're not consistent. We have been there many times and the food always have different flavor and some times not good at all. The staff is friendly and attentive. The environment us very casual and it get a little loud. If you do go i highly recommend the "First responder" for breakfast (steak/eggs/home fries/toast)

Fresh farm to table food. Went for breakfast and waited a few mins to be seated. Big menu selection for breakfast. Sausage was homemade and the pancakes were the best I ever had. Server was fast and friendly. Plan on a short wait on the weekends as this is a popular breakfast place in Hamlin. Well worth the wait. There are a few tables outside and limited seating inside but it's worth the wait.

So this was my first time at the Farmers Table and it went like this...First off, parking is very limited at best and that's a pain...But I found a spot and then I went inside to dine...The inside looks like I just stepped into a time machine and I'm now in Mayberry with Andy, Barney and Opie...Yup that old...But it had it's charm...Now onto ordering...So the ONLY waitress sat us down and gave us our menu's and she was off and I'm mean off...15 minutes later and she asked what we wanted to drink, two cokes, she's gone...5 minutes later she's back and then, yup you guess it, she's gone...10 minutes later she's back to take our order...I ordered the Angus Cheeseburger with fries and my buddy ordered the soup and salad...About 15 minutes later it arrived and my burger was HUGE, folks I mean HUGE!...Along with tomato, lettuce and a buttered roll this burger patty was about an inch thick or better...Every bite was a taste treat...The well done fries I asked for were not so well done and I hate that, but it's not a meal breaker...The veggie soup my friend ordered was a little funky looking, it had BIG pieces of artichokes in it and the broth was greenish, didn't look good but he said it was alright...So all in all it was just a dinner in a small town with some charm and that's about all I can say about it...If you're in the sprawling town of Hamlin, NY and in need of some chow before 2pm, give them a try after all they're almost the only place in town.

A beautiful Fall day is perfect for two friends to wander Northwest to Hamlin, NY for a country meal at The Farmer's Table. If you like a fancy ambiance, look elsewhere, but here the idea is to provide locally sourced foods, offered in season and expertly prepared. The place has a warm, welcoming feel and Cathy, our waitress, was friendly and attentive. My friend requested a substitution and there was no hesitation to provide it. A gentleman at the next table had an enormous hamburger with a half pound of beef. I'd love to try a burger here, but I could never eat it all in one sitting. I had half a turkey sandwich, a cup of Cajun Seafood soup and a small house salad and the total was $11.00 before tip. The specials vary daily and depend on availability from local farms. Make a point to visit The Farmer's Table. You won't be sorry.

I wanted to love this place... I will maybe try again but today's experience wasn't great. It's Fathers Day...so maybe busier than usual... my Blueberry French toast was burnt beyond recognition on one side and 'eggy' and uncooked on other side. Our server was very kind and was clearly working hard but did not check on us at all for quality of food or needs. Also, we had to wait quite some time to receive our check. So all in all I must say the $54 (before tip) we spent for our party of 3 did not feel like money well spent. I will perhaps go back and try on a non holiday.

Breakfast is a big deal!

I found the name of this place very intriguing. I stopped in to investigate. After I was seated I noticed a chalk board with the names of the local farms that provided products to this restaurant. Great idea I thought but would it make a difference in quality of my breakfast. I was pleased to find out that it did. Everything on my plate was farm fresh. Believe me the real maple syrup enhanced the entire meal. When I looked at my sausage patties I was a bit put off. These were patties but I am a links guy. I looked a bit closer and saw that were not uniform. My waitress explained to me that were made in house. They were quite tasty and spiced right. My OJ and coffee were on par with the pancakes. Sometimes the juice is sour and the coffee bitter but not here. I highly recommend The Farmer's Table and I looking forward to my next visit. Did I mention that my visit was on a Sunday? The good news is that on Sunday breakfast is served all day.

Eggs and potatoes lots of food and delicious! No wait and was served quickly! Happy to find this place!

My son devoured the entirety of his fish and chips, and it was a huge fillet. I had golden beer battered shrimp. The shrimp was plump and perfectly cooked. The batter is light and tasty. No honey mustard if that's what you like for your salad (fries for me). My son and husband really liked the Carolina gold sauce the kitchen recommended as an alternative. It's good and has a similar tang, just not for me. The ranch was solid. They have a limited beer and wine selection. We didn't notice they had a bar for mixed drinks until after the fact. The menu says they will offer local wines soon, which I like to see (and prefer to order) at local establishments. Service was excellent. The restaurant is bright and open with a subtle blue nautical theme. Comfortable booths. We'll be back.

They recently changed their menu and now offer one of my favorites: Chicken Cordon bleu. Loved it the first time I ordered it and so far, haven't disappointed. Their clam chowder is delicious and you know it is clams...you can find them in their cup...not like some other places I go where you aren't sure it really is clam chowder. Service is friendly and if you go there enough, the servers know what you like to drink and are ready for you when you get in. Loved their bourbon bacon burger too. It is a casual place and children are welcomed and it is handicapped accessible. Lovely little entry way, too.

The service is outstanding, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is welcoming and friendly--a combination that keeps me coming back. On my first visit, I ordered the Three Brothers Special, which lets you choose three different meats and two sides. I went with chicken, brisket, and ribs, and let me tell you--every bite was packed with smoky, tender, fall-off-the-bone goodness. It was the kind of meal that makes you sit back and appreciate great barbecue. Since that night, I've returned four or five more times. And here's the thing--I don't live in Brockport. I live in Pittsford, a solid 30-minute drive away. But when you find a place that not only serves amazing food but also makes you feel truly welcomed, it's worth the extra miles. Sue, my server on my first visit, made sure I felt at home, and the rest of the staff has continued that same welcoming energy every time I've returned. I've even made a few friends--regulars who recognize me now, and say hello whenever walk in. This restaurant holds a special place in my heart. After a long, stressful day, when I need to unwind and reset, I don't hesitate--I set my navigation to 58 Main BBQ & Brew and take the trip. Because sometimes, great food is just food. But when it's served with genuine kindness and a sense of belonging, it becomes something more. If you're looking for phenomenal barbecue, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere, this is the spot. Five stars, every time. My Order: 3 Brother's Special: comes with three meats. I chose half a chicken, ribs and brisket. My two sides were macaroni, salad and coleslaw. It also comes with a side of cornbread, which was delicious.
