I haven't really looked for new barbershops in this area, bc I honestly kinda gave up. But, I gave it another shot & looked them up. Some guy told me to call next day in the morning to have a better chance to get in for a cut. So I did, and sure enough they told me to come in. It didn't matter w/ who, just wanted my sons haircut done nice. They sat him right away, & i showed & explained everything to the girl, and seriously did her thang. I'm deff going back! I wish I lived closer because I would have him cut my boys hair regularly if I did. He was nice, on time and did me a favor by getting them both in quickly. He cut both of my boys hair very well, and one is more your typical short cut while the other has longer curly hair. They both look great! The Barber Lounge is a busy shop and everyone seemed friendly. I'll definitely bring my boys back to him when we come back to visit our family.

Sometimes you wonder if places on Yelp! earned all 5 stars, American Male Hair Salon did!…read more Nicole was great. I called to make an appointment and had to hang up before the phone got answered but Nicole called me back anyway, even though I did not leave a message. That alone gets points for service and follow through. The shop is out of the way so you are going to have to look for it or ask for directions. I know how guys are about that so trust me when I say it is worth it. The place is clean, laid back with a nice soundtrack and some reading material. I had an appointment and arrived a little early. If I had been smart I would have been early enough to get a beer at the place next door. Three things I realized when getting my haircut: 1. Nicole knows how to blend a line. Lots of people doing men's hair don't. 2. She runs the clippers over the same spot in different directions to prevent the stray hairs that get missed when you only use them in one direction and move on. 3. She combs my hair better then I do! This isn't a super market haircut and it is not overpriced.
