Excellent barber shop. No loud music, just relaxed shop with good cuts and fair prices. Extremely friendly, just found my new go to spot. Highly recommend read more

Dave is a barber of the old school - Friendly, easy-going, chatty if you want to talk, and he does a good job on haircuts and beard trims. He runs the place by himself, so he has to step out from time to time, which is quite understandable. Dave's vintage chairs and shop ambience are a pleasure! read more

Dave provides a great haircut at an affordable price! Service is great and ambiance is very comfortable and laid back!

I needed a good haircut desperately. I had tried a couple other shops in Turlock, but they were either doing the fade and shave that younger guys are looking for, or they just didn't understand what I wanted. Which I thought was a pretty basic old school cut. I found Dave's Barbershop on Yelp. I was not disappointed. I just said I needed it shortened up and off the collar. I didn't want to see much skin, just long enough it would not be a military cut. He cleaned up the neckline nicely. Excellent conversation & vibe. Price was $12.00. His work is worth more than that and I paid him accordingly. I will definitely be back!! read more

awesome old fashioned hair cut. nice guy to. we talked about old western movies and old music

Dave is the man. His haircuts aren't perfect, but they are only $14. Compared to other places that are $30-$50, that's pretty good. He takes about 15 minutes, and the haircuts aren't bad. He's kind of like the Little Caesar's of haircuts: if you need something quick, cheap, and decent, then he's the guy. Plus he's super nice. Defintiely a 4/5 read more

Dear owner of Dave's barber shop, Are You Serious? I made a trip to the shop on Saturday 11am and the door was locked with the sign 'Will Return' on. I waited 20 minutes with no barber returning. This tells a lot about the owner's work ethics. He does not deserve a star. read more

A few years now, and nothing but consistently good, friendly service from Dave. A top notch barber shop, Dave takes good care of his customers, young and old. Dave has more great reviews that don't come up on the Yelp front page, but they are nothing but good reviews! read more

Dave's Barber Shop - Barbers Near Me - Turlock, California

Years ago when Paul and Woody sold Canal Barber Shop, I tested quite a few of the local barber shops to find a replacement. By far, Dave is the best! Highly recommended. read more

For years, Dave's Barber has been an incredible value and now my adult son goes to him. When my children were young, it was fun taking them to a place that is reminiscent of an era gone by. Old fashioned, nothing fancy, just-a-great-haircut places are diminishing. I Hope Dave stays on while I do. read more

What a great barber. I've gotten a great cut every time. He is a true barber, not a stylist like these new "barbers" are. I whole heartily recommend him to everyone. read more

What a joke!!!! Lol! This guy took 3 minutes to cut my hair and then got mad when i asked him to touch it up. It looked like he used a weed wacker instead of clippers. Stay away from this place! read more

Hands down BEST barber in Turlock. Dave does an amazing job every time he cuts your hair. He still does the old school razor / hot shaving cream finish. Dave is an awesome guy and an even better barber. If you're looking for a great cut, Dave's is your place. read more

I came from out of town for a family get together and was trying to get trimmed up the day before. I figured since my hair was already short, that a Barber shop would be perfect to trim the edges and clean me up. After I looked in the mirror he put in front of me, I though I was on a game show and the cameras were about to come out. Swear on my life I thought he was kidding. My left ear was trimmed a full inch higher than my right, and it was painfully noticeable! I asked if he could maybe blend it for me a little better and he scoffed at me like I was trippin or something. After the awkward 12 second blend attempt, he told me it was $12 buckers. I couldn't believe the 4 min hack job was gonna leave me lookin like this. He was a jerk too. I gave him the money which was a total of $15 and I went and got in my car. I drove away and after three or four blocks I was so disgusted with how my head looked but I went back to the barbershop. I went inside and told him look at this and give me my money back and he did. Do not go there. read more

Horrible job, took less than 5 minutes. I had to pay twice to get the job done right. Didn't even show me if I liked the haircut just told me he was done. I can't get over the fact of what a horrible job Dave did. read more

Great guy. I went in, explained how my hair was thinning and how I wanted it to look. He ended up doing a great job going a little shorter than expected. He gave me a sharp look rather than let it stay long for a comb-over which others have done before. He's a great guy with lots of character and for 11 bucks I was very happy. Also he uses shaving cream and a straight blade to give a very crisp look around the edges. I'm usually tense around hairdressers but not this guy. He's been cutting hair for 20 years and it shows. read more

My husband really likes this Barber shop, he says it will be his new go-to haircut shop. Dave was really friendly and has a lot of experience. It is also very fair pricing. read more

I heard about Kiley through a mutual person. She's been cutting my hair ever since. I can be pretty particular about my haircut, but I just know what I want. Kiley never has disappointed me. She's my favorite and the one that I'll always go to! read more

Want a good hair cut, cut exactly the way you want it? This is your place. Dave is a very good barber, and a good guy. Not only do I get a good haircut here, but good conversation as well. Dave's prices are hard to beat, and others have mentioned there's usually Western on TV. read more

Came here because of the comment Neil R. left. The shop is very nice and traditional. Dave made an effort to make good conversation with me. He was very polite. As for the haircut, he lined me up real well. He has 30+ years of experience! Actually, one of the better haircuts I've gotten in a while! The price was very fair! I'll be going back next time I'm in the area! read more

Quick, great haircut, friendly service, reasonably priced -- there's no need for me to go into excessive detail with this one. If I'm in town and need a cut, this is where I'll head. read more

Went in to Dave's this afternoon. He is a great guy! I am very satisfied with my hair, and will definitely be in next time! In my opinion he is way less expensive than he should be! 12 bucks for a great cut. read more

One of the best haircuts I've had. Had my hair cut by Dave himself and did exactly what I asked. I could tell he feels out whether the customer wants to chit chat or just wants the haircut. True professional. I will definitely be back. read more

Good haircut at a fair price. Dave and his shop are strictly old school, and I mean that as a compliment. I used to go to a salon before I discovered Dave's Barber Shop. I was paying twice as much for a haircut that wasn't as good as I can get at Dave's place. Recommended. read more

The service here is very friendly, very nice people. It usually takes me more than 20 minutes to get a haircut anywhere else, but it literally took less than 5 here.Definitely coming back. read more

Nice guy, very fair price on a haircut. can't beat watching a good ol' western or a war movie while you are there.

Took my 10 year old son in to get his haircut and he got the best haircut he's ever had. Dave took his time to make sure it was to my liking and my sons liking. We had no wait at all. His prices are very fair. My new place to take my boys to get their haircuts. read more

I was looking for a down-to-earth, no-BS hair cut. I got exactly what I wanted. What takes others 30 minutes to do took Dave about 5 minutes, and the result was even better. I don't know how he does it. Must either be magic, or decades of experience. Maybe both. read more

Sorry Dave, had to come home and straighten the haircut myself. I failed to read one other review that explained it pretty good. Took less than 5 minutes and just like the other person said. Didn't show me the haircut. Just said he was done. Never ever again. read more

This is a really good place to go for a haircut, the owner is very nice and did an awesome job with my hair (also this place Is very cheep).

Clean, quiet, solid service and price. Would definitely come back.

I wasn't all that impressed, yes, it is an old school barber shop and Dave is a really nice guy, I had a really simple hair cut, 2 on the sides and 4 on the top. It looked o k, but on top some of the hair was longer than the other like it needed to be cut. read more
