When you are in need of sheet face masks and are too impatient to shop on Amazon, you come into Chinatown and get them at the Face Shop. You buy 10, and get 5 for free! Yes - 5 for FREE! They have a variety of sheet masks that treat different skin issues such as honey, aloe, snail, pearl, and many, many more! While shopping, I did notice that the staff didn't interact with me like the last time I popped in here over 2 years ago, but figured it was because I didn't speak their language. I opted to also purchase a body wash and an oil cleanser to get rid of stubborn makeup. The girl behind the counter checked me out without any issues, and even looked up my frequent buyer code using my phone number - saving me an additional $1 on my purchase. I didn't get any free samples, which was a bit disappointing, but understand if they are scaling back a bit like most businesses are. For a little store, they have a lot to offer and it's convenient via bus or train! read more

Love this spot. Great products and service. First time got the Wrinkle Bounce sunscreen. They gave me a TON of samples of other items, like facial masks. On the second visit I was looking for same item- they didn't carry it anymore. So I just got spf 50 sunscreen. I always use toner after cleansing, so tried this calming mist- love it! Moisturizing. I decided to pick up some mascara- it works great, but I realized I forgot to ask for waterproof (in case I end up crying LOL). They gave a few samples of serums. It's a really adorable place . After visit, you can grab some great authentic Chinese food on 8th Ave ‍. Dim sum on 65th is best (East Harbor). Beauty and then food- can't go wrong!! read more

Are they all created equal? I don't know but I have a very soft spot for the "pink house"!! So... since we don't have it here... (yet!)... you can substitute your Korean beauty care with the rest... The Face Shop - clean and not cluttered, easy to pass through and good selections. My only comparison is the Ktown branch - both are equally neat. During my trip to Seoul a few years back, I didn't get to try much from this brand but did snag a lotion which was pretty good. Now 3 years later... it's state side! No need to pay $1300 to get to Myeong-dong! *PSA - the well known mega beauty blocks/streets from A-2-Z! While it's 70% more than what you would be paying in Korea (thankfully the USD didn't drop to sh*t!) - you saved on airfare. I got facial foaming wash this visit - and a foot scrub... getting ready for the Summer! It smells really nice - but light - and it's gentle for my unfortunate rosacea prone skin! Wow! The Face Shop in Brooklyn-Chinatown finally opened today! I don't usually come home to Brooklyn too often but when I do, something new pops up! This time, it is a beauty shop! They are giving out free sample face masks as a welcome gift. I got a Lemon Citron Face Mask to start off with. Yay! Better come by and get yours before they run out! I can't say much for Grand opening. It's neat and everything is clean and beautiful (well it better be! It's brand new after all!) As for service during grand opening...a bit of a mess. People are skipping lines and it takes approximately 5-10 minutes per customer to pay. In the given time, they still forget to give discounts and such. Hopefully, they get better as time passes. read more

Walking down 8th ave on my day off, and recognized that I see a Korean roadshop beauty skincare shop here! I got so excited. They opened at 10am, I was the first customer in. They help you with any questions and they are well knowledgeable. It is an ok sized shop for skincare and make-up products. I was more into their skincare products. They have testers that are working and they are well-stocked from the morning. It is clean and they had a few promotions that are similar to their ny website, such as Buy 10 masks and get 5. Or buy a cushion and get one refill free. The prices are ok considering that they are shipping the stuff from Korea. You can sign up for their membership (I think they forgot to take my 10% off). They do give samples and they give a face hydrogel mask at checkout but then I'm not sure if it depends on how much you buy. I will be buying more as I finish my stash from this current haul. read more

Small little shop/boutique at the edge of Brooklyn's Chinatown. They have plenty of skin-care/beauty products for all of your fashionistas/os out there who want to look bright and beautiful. Not sure how well they work, but my face hasn't broken out more, and after using their mask sheets (at this time, a buy 10 get 5 free - SAY WHAT??? - sale) I do feel better about my skin - probably due to a placebo effect. Moreoever, the wait staff are attentive but not pushy, and they gave me free samples catered to me (I'm young and a male so I'm not that interested in anti-aging cream). P.S. I thought faceshop is a more reputated cosmetic store but I guess it's not because I brought a brow pencil in 2018 and then after using for some time I realized it say expire 2016 like WHATTTTT it already expired for 2 whole years and I was using it for like few weeks. Went here because it was closer to home than the one in Manhattan. Very nice and helpful staff, well organized, and a lot of merchandise despite small size. The owner or manager was very warm and kind and seemed to take great pride in her work. I will definitely come to this one from now on. They also seem to carry more cosmetics, including my new favorite sparkly and well-pigmented eyeshadows. Can't wait to go back and try new things! read more

I visited here when they opened, and it was really beautiful and clean. yesterday, i visited there one more time, and it is still clean and they are kind. it is really important to sustain the clean and beautiful store for the customers. Ridiculous pricing. Not my first time here. In fact, I have their membership card or whatever It's called that gets your points/cash towards your next purchase as in many other stores. I didn't have mine today and that's okay because I didn't buy anything. I see now they are selling the BTS/Lines Friends or whatever the correct name is, and I'm not sure if that's legal or not. Not even sure if that's an actual brand they are selling or some susoicious knockoff for which they are charging insane prices. I've been to the Times Square Lines store and bought couple of things from there and they are way overpriced, but I haven't even seen this type of prices there. I asked a salesgirl how much was this one really cute lotion which I assume was from this brand or a knockoff of this brand and she said it was $23 but she's going to check to make sure. I said, it's alright, don't bother. Holy sht, $23 fkn dollars for a lotion?? I don't give sht how cute it is. That's just absurd. read more

This is a Korean skin care store which I go to often. They have a variety of skin care items and even more kinds of face masks. Each sheet mask is $2 and they give you a free one based on your skin condition when you buy something else. Everything is reasonably priced and staff is friendly. They give a lot of free samples which I love. Students get a free membership card for 10% off each purchase. read more

Perfect service！I went there for sun cream. They asked me every detail about my skin type and recommended me one which fits my skin perfectly. $20 something not too expensive and they gave me a lot of samples to try. I love this store and will definitely come back. read more

Stopped by with my cousin for some casual browsing as I noticed they were having a BOGO free sale on select items. (Also I don't think I've EVER seen this place without a sheet mask promo lol). Store is well lit and organized for the limited space that they have. Store attendants weren't pushy at all and I'm the type of shopper who will take her SWEET OLD TIME looking at things back and forth and googling details about products on my phone. When I finally decided to purchase 2 little acne patches after literally 15 whole minutes, the cashier was super nice, hooked me up with details about the membership points (10% of your purchase total can be applied as a discount on your next purchase at any other store locations that has the same system!), and another gal gave me a baggie of samples catered to what she inferred I would enjoy based on the items I bought. Overall I loved the experience. The only thing I would mention is, and this isn't the store's fault, prices are kind of high overall. For example, the rice water cleansing oil was $15, when you could easily order it on Amazon for about $8-$9. $15 is good for a BOGO free sale though! read more

Terrible store. I came maybe a week after the grand opening and all the women there didn't speak proper English. I asked about a tester for their oil control serum and why there wasn't one, she shrugged at me and her friend came over to me and said "Buy it and find out!". read more

The salesperson called the manager to come over, who was excessively argumentative about it. "Let me explain something to you about our products," he said. "Our products do NOT grow mold." It was a little like the old, "who are you going to believe?" joke, since mold was growing right on top of the lotion, and we could both see it. And he just wouldn't stop. I kept telling him, I don't want to discuss this, I just thought they would want to know, I was just trying to be a good samaritan for one of my favorite stores. And he kept arguing. "Mold is caused primarily by moisture," he said at one point, as though he thought I was very stupid. Finally I said, "I'm going to ask you to stop talking." And he wouldn't! So I had to say it again. This all bothers me for two reasons. First, I thought the guy was defensive and insulting. Why disbelieve me? Did he think I brought some kind of fake moldy lotion to his store because ... why? He should have just thanked me for letting him know. Second, I thought they SHOULD care that their lotion grows mold! So the manager doesn't care about quality control, and he has an attitude problem. I don't feel that I can trust their products anymore, and unfortunately I cannot go back. It's too bad, because I used to love this store.

At the end of that appointment, however, she suddenly charged me more, saying my hair was long and I had a lot of locs--even though she had already seen my hair when giving me the original quote. My second appointment in June 2025 went smoothly, with no pricing issues. At my third appointment in August 2025, the same situation happened again. Despite booking in person before and being quoted a price after Doris looked at my hair, I was told after the service that it would cost more. After some back and forth--where I reminded her she had just recently quoted me in person--she eventually honored the original price. While the work itself was fine, I can't overlook this pattern of quoting one price and then changing it after services are completed. That's not a trustworthy way to do business, and it will prevent me from returning.

I love their approach to a very clean and sanitized place. Your temperature is taken once you walk in and there's sanitizer throughout the salon. The staff is super kind and friendly. I loved the way my pedicure came out. Definitely 5 stars there but my manicure.. was a nah son for me. It seemed a tad bit sloppy as a few parts of my nail wasn't coated in polish. Nonetheless, I'll return for a pedicure!
