To the extent that when I returned to pickup my item they apologized for not remembering my last name! I didn't even know the worker's first name! Class act. The auctions are fun. Ok maybe not "fun" but they can be interesting to the right crowd. So much retail is moving online it's nice to find a place that combines the two. So as a seller you still get the benefit of a wide potential customer base but as a buyer you get some camaraderie in the audience. They even bring in free pizza - the auction goes for hours! Always a nice mix of items. Generally high end but some items can still be picked up for a bargain - particularly the larger items that are difficult to ship

They eventually found 2 of the 3-because I emailed often, stopped by sometimes and generally badgered them to find my lost stuff. It took 6 month to find this really cool one-of-a-kind framed item, and that only because I was demanding that they pay me for it, I think. I sent half a dozen of my clients there. Now I need to call and apologize. I've already discovered that one of them has been lied to by Direct. Totally done with them. It's too bad. I was a good source for them. This is a great loss, for them. I will recover.

We contacted her owing to the fact that we needed help ensuring all of the contents of our condo would be cleared before the closing of escrow, a fete which would be particularly challenging for us since we are currently based in London, and could not be there to oversee the matter ourselves. In the end, she didn't feel there was enough to warrant a sale. However, she offered to and did arrange for Salvation Army to come and box up all of the items, take them away and complete an itemized form for tax purposes. She did this 100% out of kindness, and asked for no compensation or anything in return. We really appreciated her help as we would have been without an alternative otherwise. Thank you, Diane!

What's the point of having this item posted prominently in MULTIPLE photos just for the item to not be for sale? I've attached screenshots from Diane's website where you can see the stereo receiver, along with other audio/video equipment. Upon arrival, all of the items on top of the TV were under a blanket with a sign saying "NOT FOR SALE." I have no idea if the homeowner is aware that Diane and her team did this. I highly suggest reading Joseph L.'s review from Jul 16, 2019 after using Diane's services to host his estate sale for insight. On top of all this, I was left with a bad taste in my mouth after I saw a blonde woman at the cash register harass a couple for wearing masks. They kept telling her it was for their health and she did not care, so they left. Literally, leave them alone! It was so weird and uncomfortable. Between the misleading advertising, the obvious lack of transparent business practices, and the hostile atmosphere, I will never attend a Diane Hudec estate sale and I strongly suggest others steer clear.

I appreciated how easy Terri was to coordinate with - she even did a FaceTime with me before the session to give me some organization product ideas. Amy was our organizer on the day and she was lovely to work with. She helped us go through our master closet in a very nonjudgmental and straightforward way. She helped us donate almost 3 bags of items. We plan on working with Terri and her team again and would recommend for anyone to hire her for your organizing needs.

After I moved house, I had so many rent-a-crates to unpack and return very quickly. I felt overwhelmed and couldn't move two feet without hitting a box, and unpacking by myself was too slow. I contacted Terri again. Terri couldn't come out to personally help me within my limited window of time, but she has fantastic team members. Kammy came to help me, stayed for just under five hours, and we unpacked every rent-a-crate plus all of the cardboard boxes! There is a little left to do in order to make my new place feel like home, but Kammy's help means that 95% of the work is done. I am so pleased with The Chicago Organizer. Terri and Kammy are kind, professional, quite fair in their pandemic requirements, and most of all -- HELPFUL. Money well spent again!
