I had a customer service issue where I tried to buy an item that I was holding and just asked how much it cost before a man interjected and said he was willing to pay that price too. I also said I wanted to pay that price and that I was holding the item, that I waited in line like everyone else and should be able to buy the item that I had arrived to first, alas the other customer was a man so I was forced to hand over the item I was about to buy by the Patti, the owner of this company KP Sales. I called the business to calmly talk about my experience. Instead of trying to have a mature conversation with me Patti instantly started SCREAMING at me over the phone. Patti had a meltdown, screaming at me that I am MENTALLY ILL, that I am entitled, and that my age meant I did not deserve any respect from her. I go to many estate sales and have never been treated so poorly before. I will not be giving this company any more of my business and I would highly recommend against anyone ever using this company. The owner Patti clearly lacks any moral compass, common sense, or civility, so call someone else before inviting these people into your home. read more

Such a great experience with this company. I needed an entire living room and they were able to design it and deliver to my house. There were multiple employees involved including Katie with the design, Patty helped with extra pictures and the delivery team was stellar! I was so worried about the moving the furniture but Elio and Tavi put everything exactly where I needed it...even after I changed the layout! In September, 2023 KP Sales delivered a piece of furniture and in the process dropped the item on my wood floor. The result was damage to the furniture and my wood floor that is just 18 months old. The company stated that my floor was not a wood floor and could not be repaired. I received an estimate from a flooring company and emailed and texted it to KP with no reply. I would not recommend KP Sales as it is not a reputable entity. read more

If I could, I would give KP Sales a zero. They demolished my house removing items and didn't even have the curtesy to tell me. They dragged a dresser across the bedroom door totally ruining the exterior of the door. I had a tile island in the kitchen (handmade tiles from Mexico), and they dropped something on it and smashed an entire corner. Somehow, they damaged the molding around the downstairs powder room door. I wasn't told about any of this. I went over to see if the house was empty and found all the damage myself. I was assured that they would have an appraiser go over my jewelry. The night before the sale opened, I stopped by and found my $1200 14k gold bracelet (which I definitely left by mistake) hanging with the costume jewelry. Obviously, no appraiser had looked at the jewelry. Since the sale was a snowy January weekend, I left flattened boxes on all the hardwood floors on the first floor. They were removed and nothing was put down to replace them! Mud and puddles were everywhere! It took a cleaning service two days to make the floors presentable. Finally, they never had enough people watching the sales. My friends who went through the house immediately notified me of this. I went over and found ONE person from the company at the house when items were available on all three floors. I could have taken ANYTHING out of the house without being noticed. My recommendation: STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! Make sure people you know don't use it either. My realtor, who had seen the house before the sale, can verify every statement I have made about the floors and damage to the house. She came over immediately to see the damage herself and was appalled. I did make the company pay for repairs to the kitchen island. read more

KP Sales made our move out easy peasy and we made money doing it! They sold all of our stuff that we didn't want. What didn't sell went to the Salvation Army. I was so grateful not to have to do any of it myself, they took care of everything! Thank you!! read more

I had first hand contact with Patty - She is very outspoken women and rude. She caused a problem with us the potential buyers of a house and the owners by telling them lies. This ended up being one of the reasons we did not purchase the house. This were just sour after that. And we ended up with a lot of furniture we don't want or need and were buying because we thought the house was a good idea. read more

Katie came up with a solution for us; packed up everything she thought she could sell at her other sales and had the Salvation Army pick up everything else. If zero was a possible rating, that's what they would get. Attended an estate sale in Westmont, what an absolute clusterf*ck. No management, no line, no checkout table, absurd pricing, (for both buyer and seller) $1 items were $5 and $200 items were $20. Unorganized chaos. I would give zero stars if possible. The most irresponsible people! Never return phone calls! They were supposed to give us a preview of the estate sale of the house we purchased and after multiple phone calls and messages over the course of 3 weeks, we never heard back! All the things we wanted to buy were sold by the time we finally found out about the sale! Shame on them! It would have been so much easier for us to buy the heavier furniture as we would not have to move it as we were moving in to the same house. read more

I did A LOT I mean a lot of research on Estate Sales companies, trying to undstand what they do and how they work.... and then the more important 2nd move was chosing the right company. After speaking with friends and doing more research I chose KP SALES. The knowledge and experience that KP Sales brings to the table actually MADE money for me instead of costing more to figure out what I was going to do with furniture that I wasn't bringing with me. KP Sales came in and did an intial assessment and immediately brought knowledge of my items, the value and more importantly how to market the sale. I attended one of their sales, signing up on the attendance sheet 90 minutes before the sale began. We waited in the car until 30 before, and when we walked over, someone had ripped off that sheet of paper and started a new list. Our names weren't there anymore. One attendee was holding the list and refused to let us see it, and several people in the line became combative. I knocked on the door and asked for help from the company, and a young woman clearly didn't know how to handle the situation. It started to get heated so we left and never went in the house. They don't know how to run a sale and they don't mind if customers get cheated. read more

Wow!!! I knew nothing about estate sales. I was moving and had a house full of items I no longer needed. Katie and Patty took care of everything. On several occasions, my friend and I have shopped at estate sales run by KP Sales, and we have both found the staff to be unfriendly. I was told a purchase had to be over $100 for them to accept Visa. However, when I reported this to Visa, I was told their terms don't coincide with the terms of Visa. read more
