I had a great experience at this Escape Game location! We did Legend of the Yeti -- a new room that just opened this past Saturday! It had an 8/10 difficulty and boy, did that definitely feel difficult HAHA. I mean that in the best way though, it was such a fun escape room with twists and turns that I was not expecting at all. The puzzles were challenging but all made sense to the story. I HIGHLY recommend this room! also the staff and our game host (who i forgot both of their names) were SUPER nice and helpful!!! loved it, great experience

We LOVE the Escape Games! The games are thought provoking, well put together and the staff is always kind and personable! I highly recommend The Escape Room to any family looking for some fun family bonding time! And Cash is an excellent host! Ask for him!

My wife and I visited The Escape Game Chicago last week and escaped our prison with just one second left ‼ It was the perfect mix of thrill and challenge, and our game guide, Nathan, gave excellent clues that kept us on track without making it too easy. Afterward, the staff surprised us with thoughtful anniversary and birthday cards (which we had mentioned beforehand), signed by Nathan and Julez. Such a classy touch. This was easily the best escape room experience either of us has ever had

** Kind Service ** ** Fun for all Ages ** We didn't know what to expect as it was all our first time going to an escape room. It was a fantastic experience. We were surprising our friend and they did everything they could to accommodate all of it. It was a success! We did the "Heist" and really enjoyed the teamwork rerequired to solve the game. It was a ton of fun. If you're on the fence whether or not to try The Escape Game Chicago, do it! It's a blast!!

At first, I wasn't sure what an escape room was all about, but the kids wanted to try it, so we gave it a go--and it (The Heist, with the soonest availability at time of our walk-in visit) was incredibly fun! The staff monitors you in real-time and gives clues when you're stuck (they're watching through a camera and know exactly where you're struggling). They really helped us out. In the end, we barely escaped with one second left, which was so thrilling! I think the staff's timely interventions added a lot to the excitement.

As a part of team building at work, I chose this Escape Game activity. My colleagues and I ended up playing two rooms: Special Ops: Mysterious Market and Mission: Mars were the rooms we did with 6 and 7 people in each team. Both were rated at 8/10 in terms of difficulty level. Challenging but both teams ESCAPED, with my team beating the other team within the time limit of 60 mins. Both had right amount of hints, with lots of interactive pieces. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Overall it was a fun and engaging experience that brought our teams closer together, creating a positive and cohesive work atmosphere which was lacking due work from home culture post Covid. You're also allowed take pictures or videos while you're in the game for good memories. 10/10 recommend this place. Looking forward to completing their rest of the Escape Rooms!!!

Well.... This was fun and challenging. There wasn't a real host that helped throughout the entire journey but there wasn't a screen that gave us clues when we requested it. We of course chose the hardest one, Prison Break. They gave us 1 hr to escape and we were a few minutes shy of that. I definitely want to go back because I know we can beat it!

Ask the Community - The Escape Game

Do you serve food or drinks?

Hi Maggie! We don't serve food or drinks, but we are near plenty of restaurants in downtown Chicago. :)

Which of the rooms would be challenging but good for just a group of 2? We have extensive experience with escape rooms

Is this good for a 10 year old bday party?

I think this place has tough puzzles! I would recommend a mix of adults and kids in the rooms. And ask what the owners recommend as the best game for that age group.

Which one is the hardest room?

Hi Suhyun, Thank you for your interest in The Escape Game! Our most difficult room is Prison Break…

I've been to the Art Institute many times, but this was a completely different experience and well worth the price. Museum Hack offers unique tours of museums with the goal of making the experience both entertaining and informative. Our guide, Colin, took us around and showcased several pieces of art by telling us the stories behind the works. This really brought the art to life for us. His tour was informative and fun. It was also interactive. We were joined by a drag artist about halfway through the tour and that was a really interesting experience. They took us to several of their favorite pieces and talked about how the art they chose fit in to their experience as a drag performer. It was fascinating. We were lucky because we were the only 2 slots booked for our tour. The maximum group size is 10 and the minimum is 2. This meant we got a really personal experience with our guide. A tour like this will really help you see the museum in a new way. It's pricey, but worth it. Museum admission is included in the package and at least on our tour we did not meet at the main entrance. We entered by the modern art wing. I really have nothing but good things to say about the tour and our guide. He kept us informed leading up to the tour and kept us entertained during the tour.
