I came to the studio and granted I should have arrived early to acclimate myself I arrived on time. The class was already seated and I walked into the studio with my things. Before the instructor said hi she said you can't wear your shoes in here. Ok but what happens now she saw my confused look and directed me to the lobby I put my shoes away and my things then she went to the front of the class I had to ask a student about a mat and props. I set myself up and class went on and it was fine. After class I was rolling up my strap and someone told me I was rolling it wrong. Ok so I unrolled what I had already rolled up and started how he instructed another student pointed out ' we all help each other' ok great so then I rolled up my matt and yet another student points out I need to clean it. Which I would do but I didn't immediately see any cleaner available several other students then chimed in you need to clean your mat. Yes fine but how? Nobody really knew so then I guess that a table set up near me was for that purpose. All of these practices are fine. But I would be nice to instruct people before hand so they don't feel like everything they do is wrong and feel like everything they do is wrong. I am unsure if I would return here again it seems like these students have been together for awhile and maybe they don't want new people. ‍

With an emphasis on breathing (with frequent reminders), as well as safe alignment, Corey provides options for extra challenges for seasoned yogis, while at the same time offering modifications for injuries or newcomers to the practice. There is something for everyone. Each class is different, with some underlying consistent themes. I am never bored with the class flow, since it changes from session to session. Corey's choice of vocabulary and analogies makes it enjoyable to listen while at the same time learning. He explains things concisely and clearly. What stands out most is Corey's kindness. He is thoughtful, caring, warm and welcoming to each and every student.

Beyond that, he is hilarious! I can't recommend him more--take his classes!

It has been a while since I've done yoga, so I was looking forward to stretching my body. This particular class focused on holding poses to stretch the deeper tissues in your body. I arrived a couple minutes before class and walked right in right as a group just finished theirs. The studio is extremely spacious and clean. Right when I placed my mat down, the instructor instructed me to pick up a few items in the studio to use for class. I felt very relaxed the entire time and her voice was also very calming. I liked that I was able to stretch out my back since I was sore from working out the previous day. She also helped me with some of the poses since she knew it was my first time there, which I appreciated. The studio is located in the heart of downtown. There is street parking available, but I parked in the parking lot right around the corner that is free. I would come back in the future to try out other classes.
