During my recent visit to the Savers location in Plaistow, I approached the service desk, where the…read morecashiers were also stationed, and politely asked if I could be checked out at a regular register rather than using the self-checkout lane. I made this request because I prefer interacting with a cashier for my transactions. I was told this was not possible. At that time, there were four staff members standing in the self-checkout area. None of them appeared to be actively assisting other customers, and despite my request, no one offered to help me. Their refusal to assist came across as dismissive, disrespectful, and unprofessional. The way I was treated felt unnecessarily rude and unhelpful, and it gave the impression that my needs as a customer were not valued. This behavior was not only disappointing but also felt abusive in the sense that I was deliberately ignored when help was clearly available. It seemed as though the staff had no interest in providing service, and their attitude created an uncomfortable and hostile environment. I believe this reflects a serious problem with both staff training and management oversight. If employees are unwilling to assist customers and instead choose to stand idle, it damages the store's reputation and alienates shoppers. Management should take immediate action to address this -- including retraining staff, holding employees accountable for poor conduct, and, if necessary, replacing individuals who are unwilling or unable to perform their jobs professionally. Customers deserve to be treated with respect and courtesy, regardless of their checkout preference. I strongly urge Savers to ensure that all staff members understand their responsibility to assist customers promptly and respectfully, and to take decisive action when employees fail to meet that standard.

We had several towns/cities in mind as well as a few states and Tami's team covered the areas of interest. They worked very closely with us to understand our likes, needs and budget. We looked at a lot of houses with them until we found the one! Tami is very knowledgeable about real estate in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire. I did get a appointment pretty quickly so that was good. The counselor I meet with seems to be the owner so that means a lot. He also gave me a free consultation. It's a good size office that has a small town feel. Think Erin Brockovich. Walking in you see a well laid out office with a nice board room at the center of it. I also noticed the many letters of thanks this office has from a ton of different people (Lawrence's Mayor, other people who have hired this JD) companies, and nonprofits. It clear that this firm is well respected in the community and holding that reputation is important to him. The JD is pretty straight forward and talks to people normally and not in a whole legal jargon that gets people confused. 4 stars because I have not seen him in action yet or what his understanding is of certain laws.

The template pieces were all laid out, but that was it. Co-founder Luke had me read and sign all the releases first, and asked about my experience with welding etc. Being a Veteran myself, Luke as well, and the non-profit supporting Veterans and First Responders, he also made sure to ask me if loud noises or anything would bother me. Every step was explained and demonstrated before I was able to do it, and as nervous as I was at first, it quickly went away knowing he took my safety, the safety of others as well as their shop very seriously. Co-founder Ben also provided some muscle when I was unable to bend the metal myself. In just over 2 hours I had sanded, measured, re-measured, bent , hammered and welded together a really cool one of a kind 5-sided barn star. It was definitely something different to do and it was a really cool and fun experience. 5 stars !
