I had a to-go order of the Baked Salmon Filet. The food tasted very good. I had the salmon cooked with Cajun seasoning cooked rare. It was more medium rare than rare but still nice and moist. The photograph of the dish was totally not accurate though. I was expecting more "greens" especially because the description said "quinoa and greens". It was basically only quinoa in the order that I received. I was not a huge fan of quinoa and was fully expecting to be having more greens with my salmon so I was slightly disappointed with the inaccurate description. The quinoa was still cooked very nice and I enjoyed eating it. Price is very fair as the salmon fillet was large and with the amount quinoa I was really able to make two meals out of it. read more

I had a fantastic experience at The Edison Pub & Eatery. My server was a delight and full of energy. She made sure my drinks were full and checked in often. My food was delicious. I will say I'd personally add more cheese and maybe cook the pasta a little bit longer but it was topped with a very delicious baked cheese. Will definitely have to return to try more options. Came here for a rehearsal dinner and was pleasantly surprised and the quality and variety of food options. Staff were kind and attentive without being intrusive. They made sure our beverages stayed full and our food came out timely. I ordered the Reuben as my main dish and the corn beef was juicy, flavorful and hearty. I would have taken more sauerkraut and that's just because I love vinegar soaked vegetables. We also ordered a variety of appetizers and the spinach dip was creamy and cheesy while the bacon wrapped dates were a star in my mind! I have visited this place twice now once for lunch and once for dinner. Both time I was happy with my visit. The service was a little slow but during these times of short staff I was a little forgiving. The decor was nice, well lit and they have patio seating. They were able to accommodate a larger group of about 10. On Friday and Saturday they have a prime rib special, I didn't get it but a friend did for lunch and enjoyed his meal. When I was there for dinner I had the Buffalo Mac and cheese. It was crispy chicken and enough for two meals. I enjoyed it both times. The Calamari was also very good, not chewy. Absolutely horrible. "Fresh" Calamari was well undercooked. Brisket sandwich had more fat on it than meat. Pasta was overcooked and bland. Waitress was a bit much to handle, basically watched us eat the whole time. Also made exceptionally awkward conversation. The drink was descent at best. I'm so glad I finally got the chance to eat at Edison. Walking into the establishment, I was excited to see more of the restaurant due to the cozy lighting and decor. It didn't disappoint. Every table felt intimate and the exposed lightbulbs reminds the patrons of who the place is named after. I found the menu to have a good variety of items/options without being overwhelming. There were options for seafood, pasta, sandwiches, burgers, and salads. There was also a prime ribs special offered the night I was there. I got the Turkey Club Melt with fries and it was delicious! The fries were plentiful and hot! The sandwich flavors all stood out on their own and I really enjoyed the cheese and tang of the raspberry mayo. The server was very nice and she made sure to stop by to make sure we had everything we needed. I'm really excited to go back and try a few more menu items I had my eye on. The service was the best part of our experience. There were nine of us and not one of us was happy with anything we had. I had the brisket tacos. It had large chunks of flavorless roast beef and unmelted shredded cheese on top. It came with a sauce that was supposed to be salsa but it was more like a mole sauce. Our appetizers were very disappointing - how can loaded tots be disappointing?? There was no flavor. Same with the artichoke and spinach dip. We didn't even eat half of it. The plain pita breads that came with it were sadly the best part. Won't be back and will not recommend it. read more

My Wife and I ate here for the first time and man we will never go back. My wife had the ribeye steak sandwich which came on an extremely small "hoagie" roll and the meat was extremely thin and 75% fat and was impossible to bite through. I had the Edison burger which one would think would be good considering it's named after the restaurant. I have never had a burger taste like nothing before. Only could taste the mushrooms and had to down in ketchup to make edible, super greasy as well. Service was also horrible, waiter didn't introduce himself and talked to us 4 times from the time we sat down to the time I got the check from him. What a waste of money, I never review on here but this was so bad I had too. At least my beer was cold. read more

The Edison deserves every single one of these five stars. It has become a family tradition to eat here pretty often and the service is always top notch! You'll frequently find management or even the owners greeting people at the front as they walk in. Tonight, when we arrived, we were greeted by Management and asked how our Christmas was. We were then promptly seated, and our waitress, Lexi, immediately came up to us and greeted us, inquiring as to what we would be drinking. Lexi provided impeccable service throughout the entire evening, including refilling everyone's drinks without anyone even having to ask. The food here is always delicious and they have a wide variety available along with different seasonal options to satisfy even the most diverse appetites. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the restaurant has a very modern ambiance, which makes for a really neat experience when eating out. I always look forward to returning here to eat. read more

Been driving past Edison for awhile now and finally decided to give it a try, glad we did! The menu looked to have something for everyone. Had the Airplane Chicken, the green beans were well prepare, cooked but not mushy, the potatos were hot and not pastyand the chicken was moist. Excellent, and also the jumbalaya pasta, a generous portion, lots of shrimp, hot and spicey as it should be. Will plan to go again soon! read more

Always like to try new places and this one was a hit. At first I didn't know if I liked the venue, kind of dark and chopped up, but it grew on me. The upside was that being separated into smaller rooms it kept the noise down and made it feel like you weren't in a larger venue, but a more personal space. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. While the menu is not overly large, there is a nice selection. I had a burger with prosciutto, brie, mustard and mixed greens. The burger was perfectly cooked and very flavorful. I chose the side salad to go with it, also a hit. Didn't have any alcohol, but it looked like a nicely stocked bar with several beer choices. What used to be a nice salmon filet on a salad now looked like they're cutting it in half the long way...the next time back, they also chopped that poor fillet the short way too! Today was our 5th visit to this restaurant and I thought maybe now would be a good time to review since we've been there enough times to get a good feel and taste of the place. Overall, the place has a nice theme to it which is unique the staff are fairly friendly and courteous. I will review previous andres that we've had here that we liked. The prime rib always good. A well balanced and constructed meal. The fish and chips is also a good choice. On our last visit my wife hadd the salmon dinner which allowed a choice of three Varieties one being blackened. She liked it so well today when we went we both ordered that same meal and style of cook. Unfortunately the chef didn't seem to want to cook the fish blackened style and when we pointed it out to the waitress she offered to take the fish back to the kitchen and have it adjusted. We really didn't want to stop eating and wait further for the meal to be cooked the way we ordered it, so we just declined her offer. You would think that they would do something to make up for not cooking the? Food the way we ask for it by offering us either a discount or something something of this sort. This was not the case and I guess we were expected just to suck it up. Although the restaurant is close to home and their food is usually pretty decent, I am hesitant to go back there another time. To be fair we might just try them another time and see what happens before we make a final decision. read more

We tried out The Edison tonight and will absolutely not be back. We were told that a party of 30 had backed up the kitchen. No big deal and completely understood. However, our waitress disappeared for 25 minutes while we waited. No more drinks, no water, not even walking by. Then another person brought our food out. I had the Edison burger, which was one of the worst burgers I have had in a long time. It was so over cooked it was nearly burnt. Our table also had the fish and chips, which is a favorite meal. It was bland and the tarter sauce was not a good addition to help. My husband enjoyed the prime rib and we also had the Mac and cheese, which was fine. Food did not make up for the disappearance and then rude behavior from our server though. Too many other places in CR area to try than to go back to this one. read more

We went with a party of 7. Quickly seated by a very friendly staff. We all felt the food was very good and served well. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The Light Switch Burger was excellent. Plenty of food that was reasonably priced. I read through many of the other reviews. The people who left poor reviews really need to just stop going out to restaurants and need to just make their own food and serve it to themselves. My husband and I visited for our wedding anniversary. We sat on the patio but really liked the ambiance of the restaurant and if the weather wouldn't have been so nice we would've gladly sat inside. We both had the prime rib dinner which was tasty and served with a horseradish sauce and au ju. It was perfect! The sides were red skin potato mash with green beans. The portions were large, but the flavor of both side was wonderful! As an appetizer we had the Cajun shrimp and sausage, it was flavorful but we could've used more bread. In fact a table came in as we were ordering our meal and they were served and eating before we got our food. Wanted a nice ambiance for a date night. Walked in and thought the place looked cute, the menu was good, and reasonably priced. Ordered waters while we looked over the drink menu and did not see our water again for another 20 minutes. There was little to no one in the restaurant so I am not sure what caught our waiters attention. We both ordered steak cooked medium, the prime rib and sirloin. The food came out completely raw and nearly inedible. The waiter did not return for a good 30 minutes to check on us, so by then we just wanted to leave. Ordered takeout and was not happy with the quality of the burgers received. Ordered medium and they were definitely well done. One of our burgers was actually burnt. I cut off the burnt piece so I could eat part of my burger. But it was dry. Also there was only one pineapple chunk on my burger. I will say, the fries were pretty good. Had a terrible experience with the owner/manager. Some of the food in our group was great some was unbelievably bad. My friend had surf and turf, and it was incredibly over cooked.....the lobster was really bad. The owner came over and told us that he was complying with some over cooking order from the Health Dept....specials were not able to have any substitutions for sides....didn't get wine for 20 minutes because they were waiting for glassware....the owner yelled at me that the waitress was just trying t feed her child.... not sure what that meant as we never even mentioned her....my comment about the wait for wine was directed at him for not having enough glassware. Not sure why pub is in the name of this establishment. We were rushed out promptly at 10pm; I left half of my beer as did my husband. We do not normally leave soldiers behind but in this case did not want to keep the staff any longer. We were allowed to order food at 9pm. I left nearly two-thirds of my meal because I could not eat fast enough to meet the staff's deadline to get me out of the establishment. Seriously? The food was not good enough to return. This place was pleasing to the eyes from the outside. When you get in, their decor was also pleasing. The wait staff, Heather, was great making sure our deinks were always full. But that is were it stops. The Kitchen staff was unable to keep up with the orders. If a Large party is in before you, you can expect one hour wait. Thank goodness we ordered appetizers first. The Calamari was too salty and was done frozen. The wings were ok but the sauce was out of the bottle but jazzed up in their own way, which did not work. We ordered the philly steak sandwich. It came with onions and pepers and mushrooms. The problem was that the onions were carmelized but with sugar? Too sweet. Also the green beans were over cooked and mushy, they should be cook but still have a cruch or snap. My recommendation is until they can fix there food issues including wait times, only come here is you like ok food and long waits. Loved our first visit. I brought my one year old and two girlfriends and the service was lovely, and quick! We got there on s busy Wednesday and they told us it'd be a 10 minute wait which we were fine with. Instead, we waited less than 5 minutes. Our server was incredibly accommodating, brought out a kids meal quick for my daughter when I asked. The cocktails were incredible and the burgers we had were amazing. My only complaint is that we both ordered our burgers med-well but they came out more like med-rare and medium. This is totally understandable for a new business, and truly didn't bother us too much. One thing I should recommend for change is that the 1/2 price wine bottles on Thursday - that the restaurant inform the patrons better that the price shown IS the actual 1/2 price. So I have gone to Edison's a few times, and have normally liked it. It is a nice, American restaurant and ordering something like a steak or common appetizer like spinach/cheese dip would be ok. Recently though, I had a not so great experience with some of their appetizers. The bacon wrapped dates were overcooked and lacking flavor, the stuffed mushrooms consisted of fried cheese and bread crumbs (also overcooked) on a few very small, burnt mushrooms, and their mussels gave me food poisoning. Probably won't be going back any time soon. read more
