Three of us came in looking for an early dinner and this was a nice treat. Our waitress was fast and friendly, another staff member came around to check on us during our meal as well. So the staff is attentive and pleasant. I had a craft root beer (Barn Town Brewery from West Des Moines), that was really good as root beers go. We had appetizer Nachos, which were on Taco flavored Doritos. Nachos were solid but a little light on the beef and cheese sauce for my taste. The Soup, Salad and Breadstick was good and a perfect size for a smaller appetite. My friend had a Midwest BBQ Smash Burger without the bun, he would order it again. I had the Hangover Smash and it was a great bacon cheeseburger - add peanut butter (sounds weird but it was great), an egg, some bacon and smashed tater tots and life is good, with or without the hangover. The family and I stopped in for lunch the day after Christmas. We didn't have super high expectations, but since it changed from Olde Brick House, we were hopeful. Our server greeted us as soon as we walked in and was friendly enough. The food left MUCH to be desired. We ordered a bowl of wild rice soup with a side of the beer battered fries, the Italian sandwich with fries and the fish and chips. Instead of a bowl, a cup came out, which isn't a huge deal and is an easy fix. The soup was extra thick and wasn't heated all the way through. Almost cold in the middle. The Italian sandwich was ok, it contained all of the ingredients listed on the menu, and it was on bread about the size of a hot dog bun. The fish and chips, for $19, was probably the most disappointing. The fish was cooked well and tasted good, but both pieces together was about the same size as one of Gorton's battered fish filets. Given that there were only 3 occupied tables the whole time we were there, I expected more from the kitchen, especially given the price. I give it 2 stars instead of 1 for the server doing her job, and the fries were good. If I go back, it'll be for drinks, definitely not the sub-mediocre food. Lindale "Neighborhood" Pub, it is no neighborhood I'd raise my family in. Really disappointed in my decision to spend a Sunday here. This establishment should be named "Red flags"!! The best part of this entire experience was leaving!! I've been meaning to head to Lindale's for a while now with friendsto see if this could be a great spot for a beer and some simple bar pleasures. Pulling up to this spot, sandwiched between a mattress store and phone store it wasn't the best sight to see off the bat, but continued to give them the benefit of the doubt. And boy I was wrong. The hostess was a sweet woman and respected her decision to represent this establishment. From hostess to server, from server to bartender, from bartender to cook? That could have been the case, management left this poor woman out to dry and my party's experience suffered greatly. Beer was fine, can't mess up a beer. Ordered a cheese pizza and a buffalo chicken pizza. Come to find out the second pizza was never rung in, the cheese was a hard 3/10. After another mess up and 25 minutes later we were greeted with an even more abysmal buffalo chicken pizza, 2/10. She was touched her hair multiple times then was serving food and making drinks. She was approached by some Boy Scouts (unable to hear conversation) but she didn't even look at them. We were here on a Saturday night and the place was packed! We wound up sitting at the bar, which was fine with us. The bartender served us promptly and made sure we had menus. I'm a whiskey drinker and there are a whole lot of whiskeys to choose from! I asked the bartender to give me his recommendations for a flight. He did after I told him a little shot what I liked and didn't like and let me tell you, that flight was amazing! My husband tried several of their beers on tap and liked that they had a good selection to choose from. As for the food, we got the garlic cheese bread for an appetizer, I got the Midwest BBQ smash burger and my husband got the Jalapeno smash burger. It was all delicious! Yummy pizza, good beer prices. We've tried several of the pizzas, a few burgers, and some apps. The luau (in the picture - hell yes please put onion strings and ranch on my Hawaiian) and taco pizzas were our favorites. The burgers are also good, and I like that I can get a single patty. This is a " one and done" restaurant We went to the neighborhood pub Saturday for dinner, we all ordered smash burgers, it took over 30 minutes to get the food, (They were not busy 5 tables) all of the burgers were way over cooked, the bacon on my son's bacon was under cooked, my wife said the cheese curds were more like cheese balls, and the fries were drowning in salt. read more

Food, drinks, and service were excellent! Justin greeted us right away, he had wonderful customer service and made some delicious drinks. My American Smash Burger was cooked well and my tots were hot and crispy. We split a crab rangoon pizza with thin crust (per Justin's suggestion) and it was delicious.
