The appointment was for my 3 year old and I'm due to give birth with my 2nd in less than a week but I say no problem. The receptionist says great we'll see you in half an hour. I then come back in half an hour and I ask if the hair stylist is ready. The receptionist says no that she needs 5 more minutes but I can leave if I don't want to wait. This was pretty frustrating and I asked why they wouldn't just call me if she's running that behind and ask me to come later? The receptionist only mentioned that the stylist is just that busy. I wait another couple of minutes and ask again if the stylist is ready. At this point im tired of waiting and ask to get an actual estimated time she will be ready. I see the receptionist go up to the stylist and I see that the stylist is annoyed with the questions. I feel that when you have such a "popular" stylist that people should be better at scheduling their appointments for them. A phone call to say she's running an hour behind would have been great to receive, and the stylist could have taken 2 minutes to check in with me and see what can be done to accommodate me since I wasn't late. The stylist ran behind and should have tried to remedy the problem. At the end I left, it was obvious they didn't care for my business since the stylist is that popular. Overall I was very disappointed and won't return.

So I decided to come to her old job, which is this one. I paid $402 for my hair appointment and unfortunately did not receive the hairstyle I had specifically requested. I came the second time, I still didn't get what I had requested. I was very disappointed with the final result, especially considering the amount I paid. After expressing my concerns, I was told that the owner would reach out to me to address the situation. It has now been over a month, and I still have not received a call, message, or any follow-up whatsoever. I understand that things can happen and that not every service goes perfectly, but what really disappointed me was the lack of communication and customer service afterward. If a customer spends $402 on a service and is unhappy with the result, I believe their concerns should be taken seriously and addressed in a timely manner. I gave the salon the opportunity to follow up before leaving this review, but after more than a month of waiting, I feel that my experience deserves to be shared. I would not recommend spending this amount of money somewhere where there is no follow-up or accountability when a customer is dissatisfied.

When I answer they tell me that the stylist is sick and they can only accommodate me at a later time. A later time COULD have worked if they had given me more than a 3 MINUTE NOTICE that my appt wasn't happening. Again I understand sick happens but if this person was already on their way to the Dr you knew more than 3 mins ahead of time. As I was entering the parking lot for my ON-TIME appointment, a young woman, Olivia from Rosa Blu called me, stating that the prior customer just arrived and asked that I push back my ON-TIME appointment by 45 minutes. It appears the manager made the young woman do her dirty work. Instead of telling the LATE customer that they had to wait, they made me push my appointment back. I wound up booking an appointment two days later and when I walked in, the manager, while rolling her eyes, in a non convincing manner says, "OH, sorry about the other day" NO REMORSE WHATSOEVER. Didn't even offer to perhaps give me a discount for the haircut. It's just shrug the shoulders and too bad Joe. This type of behavior is what turns customers away. It's not the first time this has happened. The bottom line.... they catered to the more expensive LATE client instead of the ON-TIME standard Men's haircut. The manager needs to take a Customer Service course and also not have her young staff members do her dirty work. A 2 grade is extremely generous. Will I go back..... I truly don't think so, with all do respect to the woman who cuts my hair.

The wash, cut & dry took no more than 30 minutes and there was no one waiting for their hair to be done, so I was confused. I paid the $40 since I'm not sure if the shady salon owner/manager would penalize the person who cut the hair for the extra $10 if I only paid $30. The appointment was at 11, she was only able to take me at 11:30. She double booked her appointments. I asked for Hollywood waves. As Anna was teasing my hair she kept ripping it off ignoring my screams and begging to be careful. 3 days later after the hair style my hair still continues to break and to fall off from pulling. The waves only held for one hour so by the time I got to the wedding my hair was completely straight ($120 down the drain) . In addition, she was sneezing and sniffling right over my head. I haven't tried any other stylists at Opia (and I definitely won't come back to try) but stay from Anna at all costs. She is sadist!
