The reviews did not disappoint! She asked me questions about the wedding, what dress I was wearing, and how I felt about a shade before she put it on. She wants you to feel comfortable and the makeup to look natural. She is very patient and kind. At one point, she told me to open my eyes and one of my eyes was red. She said she it was strange that only one eye turned red, since she applied the same exact eye shadow and liner to both eyes. Maybe some eye shadow particles fell in my eye, but I didn't feel anything. She was nervous, but she quickly reacted and got eye drops to apply to my eye. She stopped and waited for the eye drops to reduce the redness in my eyes. I had a hair appointment next door and she went over to inform the hair stylist that I was going to be late. It all turned out well and the redness in my eyes disappeared, thankfully! I would definitely come back again and have Sheila do my makeup again. Prices are fair and you really get great service.

She claimed she was just "thinning" my daughter's hair but took shears and chopped so close to the scalp that she left her with visible bald spots and blotchy patches that look like a bad buzz cut. This wasn't a trim or layering this was butchering her hair. What's worse is that my daughter was too afraid to speak up in the moment, but I'm not staying quiet. She also didn't realize the extent of damage that was done.I don't know where these people got their licenses, but judging by the mess Rachel left behind and the pattern in other reviews they should consider going back to cosmetology school. I have many friends in the cosmetology field and they were even frightened by the results. We even left a generous tip (which I now regret more than anything). The level of incompetence does not match the prices they're charging. If you care about your hair or your child's confidence, stay far away from this place.

Hair Effex doesn't have a private lot, but the nearby municipal lot is more than likely to have a spot, and it's free. If street parking is more your thing, you might be able to snag something.

I have been looking for a new hairstylist however have been put off by only being able to see people's schedules via DM so I really appreciated the ease of the online booking option. I also was able to have a choice to select someone or select the option of any stylist - which I opted to. The salon is super clean, modern and has a white and gold vibe which I loved. There was free parking in the back and in the front with an entrance to both. I was paired with Alicia. I got a wash, cut and blowout. I just told her I wanted to cut a few inches off, add some shape and have it not feel so heavy. She did a wonderful job and was efficient as well. You can also pay credit or cash and tip via Venmo which was appreciated. I love my cut and will definitely be coming back!
